Service is always great even the one time they forgot our drinks a few times they apologized and gave us all a free dessert and we weren't really even upset about it before the desserts. So I cannot believe that there are no reviews for this place!! I will be happy to put up the first 5 stars. I've lived in CT over 2 years and have never heard much about this place. One night I decided I wanted to take the family out for steak and we gave it a shot. WHOA BABY was it good. Really nice atmosphere for a date or a family. They serve popcorn which I thought was different but cool and tasty. My waitress was a young girl and top notch with service. The food was the best part! We had ordered steak that was so flavorful and tender. My son ordered ribs that melt in your mouth. Oh and the mixed drink was made to perfection. I will be returning for sure!! I let our waitress know that I have a food allergy to be sure I wouldn't get something with that food as an ingredient. Then it turned out that what I ordered did have the allergen in it. So I could not eat it; luckly I tasted it right away in the first bite & stopped eating, so I did not get sick. Either the waitress was careless or just uninformed, but either way I would advise anyone with a food allergy or special dietary need to avoid this place. read more

Me and my girlfriend Sarah went to this 99 Restaurant for a taste of childhood nostalgia. The result was two mediocre chicken entrees and complimentary popcorn. The Country Fried Chicken was crispy and savory. I did not care for the mashed potatoes served with it. The Ranch-Crusted Chicken was good, but the bacon flavored sauce on top overpowered the entire dish. read more

Don't get the steak tips and expect anything other than shoe leather. Aside from the bad tips, we had one of the worst waitresses I've ever had. Literally waited 15 minutes to order and another 15 for our check. Not sure how this location does any business. I had this saved to post after we left, after talking to the hostess on the way out in changing my 2 stars to 1. My boyfriend stopped to let the hostess know what poor service we had and her quote of "I don't know what to tell you" is what pushed me over the edge. The Enfield location is fantastic, Bristol not so much! Needless to say the staff needs some customer service training and we will never be back there. read more

Burger tasted like frozen patty you buy at a grocery store. Let's say my stomach had issues after. Look in Bristol this place is always packed. Not cause it's good, it's cause this is like fine dining compared to some places. I think I'd rather get Wendy's or Burger King. Food just isn't appealing. Staff I will say is super friendly. I think it means something when a chain restaurant has regulars because of the bartenders. You're supposed to follow bartenders, not bars, because the service is what makes a place stand out. I sat next to two regulars who pointed out that they are regulars and sit on either side of the bar depending on where their favorite bartender is. This makes a statement. The ambience is casual with an open view Into the kitchen. Everyone seemed to enjoy the meals and you can get free popcorn if ask for it. Yes it's a chain restaurant but the mozzarella sticks I ate were pretty good. I would order a meal next time I was in which means a lot considering how much dislike chain restaurants and 99 in particular. read more

Great experience! We were seated right away and immediately our server Kim brought over popcorn,introduced herself and went over the specials they had. She took our drink order and they were brought to us right away. After our order was placed our appetizer and salads were brought out in great timing. Boneless wings were hot and crispy. The salads were ok, a little on the limp side but edible. Our meals arrived shortly after and were hot and tasty. My husband ordered fries but received rice. This was corrected immediately. We had consistent excellent service from Kim the entire meal. Dinners ordered: Shepherds Pie, Apple BBQ sandwich,Bacon Cheeseburger, Tips and Tenders. The petite desserts were just the right size and a nice way to finish an all around good meal. read more

Went to eat here LAST NIGHT and It was your typical restaurant. Nothing special at all about it. Service was a 2 STAR bill was a 5 STAR and the bathrooms/Cleanliness was a 1 STAR. One of the first things I check are the bathrooms. If its dirty, are the workers dirty? Overall 3 stars. Id eat there again prob only TOGO. read more

Stopped on our drive from Massachusetts to home in northern NJ for lobster rolls. A good choice. It was only about 3 miles off route 84, easy to reach. We tried the usual cold lobster roll and also the hot lobster roll for comparison. There was ample lobster meat in both (6 ounces we were told) and nice solid pieces of claw. We preferred the cold lobster roll, with scant mayonnaise, a little celery and a little shredded lettuce on a crisp toasted New England style hot dog roll. It came with french fries and cole slaw, but you could change the sides if you prefer. The hot lobster roll was not as successful as a lobster roll since the butter made it soggy, but it was a nice pile of warm lobster meat. If I wanted to eat lobster but bot a lobster roll I would get this and just eat the lobster with a fork. Altogether a very nice summer meal. 99 always seems a pleasant good value dinner experience when in New England. read more
