We went with the cheesecake for dessert and it was to die for, super light and fluffy. Our party of two was seated immediately. Choosing what to order was so tricky because everything sounded amazing! I can't believe I hadn't heard of Zuppa until recently - this is totally a hidden gem and now one of my new favorite local Italian restaurants! Everything was so flavorful, even the olive oil with fresh Italian bread! You can tell everything is made from scratch, and even the drinks were fantastic. The calamari was crispy and served with such a good marinara sauce that I could've drank honestly, and the meatballs were fantastic. Delicious French onion soup and Caesar salad, and the chicken Milanese was piled with arugula and veggies. The pork chop was super tender and the homemade cheesecake for dessert was a great way to end the meal. I can't wait to visit again already! The waitress was attentive. They have bread shipped in from a Brooklyn bakery each day. Crunchy on the outside, warm and dense on the inside. They should keep the butter out of the refrigerator. I had the red pasta fagioli to start. Yummmmmmm! Domenic and Vinnies in Waterbury used to make an amazing pasta fagioli back in the day - I have been trying to find something similar for 20 years and this is the closest I've found (though a little odd that they use a bunch of different noodles - maybe just using up any extra pasta ‍). My Mom and I split the grilled chicken buffalo sandwich which was just about to die for. Super thin sliced chicken breasts that were so tender and juicy. Honestly - it's been 3 days since eating there and I'm still thinking about how the chicken could be so thin yet so tender. The blue cheese sauce was delicious! It did not disappoint! The price point is reasonable and the food portions are good and delicious. Tried Zuppa for the first time last weekend. For our appetizer we had calamari with peppers and bleu cheese it was delish. For soups my fiancé went with the white pasta fagoli. Both very good and my fiancé loved the seasoned flavor of his soup. Our entrees I had chicken marsala with potatoes and some beautiful looking vegetables.
