This is our favorite place when we fly home...it's on the way, has pleasant servers and delicious food...all reasonably priced. We like the hi-tops in the bar, with open views of whatever sports are on TV. The newly added Mediterranean Bowls are our current favorite...a variety of tastes without the fat grams we don't need. read more

I like this 99. The restaurant was very bright unlike the one in Westfield which was dimmed like a morgue. I liked the food the best out of any 99 I have ever been to. The waiter was extremely nice, a little too nice, because my boyfriend was pissed because we kept smiling at each other!! I am a friendly person, I am nice to people who give me a nice vibe and are nice to me! He was genuinely nice and Wait. Now maybe this is not an issue related to the 99. OK- So it's The 99. It's a chain restaurant. No-one is rolling homemade meatballs or hand breading fresh chicken cutlets in the kitchen. As long as you go in knowing that, you'll be OK. We had Lu for our waitress. Lu used to work at Uno's in Revere. She is now at the 99 and if you go there, I recommend you try to be seated in her section. She is a veteran waitress, pleasant. Everything you want in a waitress. I adore her. We got our free popcorn. (YUM) and 2 beverages Iced Pomegranate Tea Bubble Green Tea For dinner: App: Boneless Wings (1/2 Buffalo and 1/2 Gold Fever) Delicious and about 8.99 for a good portion. Me: Coconut Shrimp App for my meal. Taste was good but they overcook the shrimp so they are rubbery. The coating is tasty though and the tropical dipping sauce is a good complement to the shrimp. 8.99 ish Hubby: Steak Tips with corn and mashed Portion was very fair. Tips (all except for one) were cooked the way he ordered. The marinade is subtle, not sweet and the tips are tender. It's no Floramos but then, what is? The corn was buttery and crisp and the potatos were better than average. 11.99 or so?? She packaged all of our leftovers separately which is ALWAYS appreciated. Bad for the environment maybe but good for me. YAY I hate when places throw all of the food in one box. She offered dessert and coffee. We declined (politely) She presented our bill (45.00 including 7.00 tip) and we were on our way. I came to the Ninety Nine Restaurant for lunch this past Friday with a few people from work. I grew up going to various Ninety Nine establishments. As a kid, I was all over their fish and chips. Nowadays, when I do make a visit here, I'm all about the tips & tenders. One of the things I've always liked about this chain is that the staff is (for the most part) very friendly. We sat at the bar and the bartenders was nice, attentive, and good at her job. You can always tell a veteran bartender/server when they memorize your order right off the bat and don't need to repeat for clarification (also, bonus points for getting it right.) The food is good. It's not great, it doesn't suck, it's just right down the middle. I ordered my tips medium rare. A couple of them were medium rare, a couple were medium, and one was well done. Despite the unevenness, I still enjoyed them. The tenders were actually less breaded than I remember - thankfully - and were fried up just right. Price point is good - perfect for a quick lunch or dinner option. That is precisely why you visit a chain such as this - you want good, quick food at a small price. I recently ate here with a few friends to catch up with. I was basically settling because I have had so many unpleasant experiences at other locations before, but it was late and we needed to eat. At first I was content, the appetizers were good, and I got a really good drink. I ordered the Crispy chicken honey mustard salad. I wasn't too disappointed. What really killed me was when I took my left overs to work the next day to eat at lunch, I stirred around my salad, only to find a beetle crawling around inside it. I'm mortified. I wish I remembered his name because he def. deserves two thumbs up and a Christmas bonus. I was there on Thursday 12/8/16 if anyone in corporate reading this and wants to pass on their good fortune. Anyhow the kitchen had already started shutting things down like the oven but they managed to make me this amazing grilled shrimp salad and a side of broccoli...and water with lemon...real fresh lemon.....like a really great fresh lemon. I'm obviously going overboard here on the lemon but I think the world deserves it to combat those yelpers who emanate their end of the world thoughts when they could have just dunked their semi-dry burger they are complaining about in a glass of water to bring back that moist love affair. The kicker to my visit was that I had a staff of 7 across the street working an unexpected overnight shift and I was attempting to feed them. a 2 star effort. I'll explain. Sat in the bar on Sunday, August 9th. The food was ok. Nothing great. "Small caesar salad was not small....but charged as that." The fish and chips were ok. Diet Pepsi again, ok. The service? What service? Seems the bartender was more interested in talking to his friends (was fairly busy) than working. Had to beat him over the head to order, for a refill, for the check....etc. I've been to this place before and the service in the table area is always good and usually in the bar. Never been a fan of the Ninety Nine Restaurant chain......yet I find new ways to be disappointed by them each time. The majority of the alcohol they have (especially well rack) is 99 branded. Their long island ice tea alcohol is mixed (lame!). They don't make Mojitos. They shouldn't even have a bar if they can't get some decent generic alcohol + mixers. Ordered the sirloin tips & chicken fingers. The fingers were something I'd have found on a pigeon. They were that small. The sirloin tips were also about the size of silver dollars. Pretty f'n sad. The Tuesday soup: Crab something or another was VERY good. However, good soup can't heal the disappointment of a crappy main course. The desert? Key Lime Pie........who messes up Key Lime Pie? 99 does. It tastes like something they got out of a BJ's Wholesale Club freezer. Worst Key Lime Pie ever! I am a Key Lime Pie connoisseur, and this was terrible. The only decent thing about this place is the $1.99 Budweiser Select draft and the .40 wings on Thursdays. I won't be back. read more

This place has pretty good food at decent prices. We had three adults and one child and we all ate for $50 including a sundae which I thought was a good deal. The wedge salad was delicious and the soup of the day was also tasty. The breaded schrod was a big portion and tasted delicious, French onion soup was also tasty and generous in size. I love the 99 and have been to several locations. I only give 3 stars for this particular location. My wife and I love to go here for quick easy food at great prices. We typically sit at the bar which is convenient. Bar is large and has TVs for when a game is on. Main reason for the Rating is the service. And only one particular Bar tender at that. 2 of the lady bartenders are great. One in particular, is great. always very welcoming, genuinly interested in patrons. One other, could care less. EVERY time she is on, the drinks are wrong, the food is wrong, specific instructions are completely forgoten, you get an app and then dinner and the food comes at the same time. I can understand a few mistakes, I'm in no way perfect, but I'm talking every time, at least 7 now. All in all, still great. Just be careful if you sit at the bar. read more

This place is a magical wonderland of daily celebrity sightings - which goes perfectly with the lukewarm Budweiser Select and stale cheese planks, Who are the celebrities you will see if you come to this 99?...How about Frankenstein?...Not good enough for you?...Then maybe you will run into Mr. Feeney the Magician, or the "Silly Hat People", or a woman who orders cups of hot water (and that is all she orders), but she does have fake conversations on the phone to add to her questionable mental state. The bartenders/waitresses however are top notch....Erin, Nadine, Lexy are just three ( there are a few more) who know what you want, and get it for you without question. Ever since the staff lost a lazy chatterbox of a member, who I think went by the name of Kevin (I know this because his business card was thrown in you face everytime you sit down), I can say nothing but positive things. Victor's popcorn is bar none the best popcorn in America....lightly salted and bursting with flavor! All in all, this is a great place to people watch...and while watching these people you can get your drink and eat on for a decent price. So tough you couldn't even cut it with a knife so he was eating it with a fork... we'd give 0/5 if we could. They also cooked it under. We said medium rare and it came out bloody but he felt too awkward to turn it back. His sides were okay but nothing amazing. They really didn't give him as much as other 99's do. Be aware of the fact that there's Pepsi products if you want soda. That's not too big of a deal but I asked for a Pepsi and they gave me diet. I am allergic to the sugar they put in it and had a migraine the rest of the dinner. Waitress was okay, I've had better, ice definitely had worse. They knew the steak was undercooked and the quality of it because they stood there waiting for him to send it back but he felt like it wouldn't be polite... she did refill drinks often. Food always very good. Have never been to a 99 before but was just looking for a quick lunch near my hotel by the airport. My friend who knew about the place said it was good inexpensive food with a good selection on the menu. We were seated in no time and our waitperson was there in a second to take our order. She was very friendly and got us drinks very fast. They service popcorn when you first arrive which I thought was novel and tasted pretty good while we were waiting for our order. I selected the marinated tips which my friend recommend and they were tender and very tasty. I know this is a chain of restaurants but I was very pleased with the food and level of service I found. 99 Review Maria, our server, was extraordinary. She knew the menu and alcohol options very well, and upsold discreetly throughout our courses. We will certainly request her during all our subsequent visits. I have been a GM at a successful restaurant, bar, and nightclub. I recognize professionalism, dedication, and talent, and Maria shined in all three areas. We were also visited by Jean Marie, the manager on duty. She was very polite without being obsequious. Great hire there, too! The whole experience was a total pleasure. Maria mostly, and Jean Marie, had EVERYTHING to do with that. Great food, service, and prices. When you go to a chain restaurant like this, you usually have somewhat of an idea what you will get, but unfortunately this 99 in Revere does not live up to that idea. I wouldn't say I'm a regular at this location, but a few friends and I go in a few times a month. We usually sit at the bar, only to be aggravated every time. The blonde bartender (who reminds everyone she has five kids every chance she gets) is awful. Either she doesn't like our group, or she is just a rude person. We usually scoff at it, and move on. However, the last time we went in, it was worse than usual. FOUR of us sat down at the bar the night before Thanksgiving expecting to just relax and play a little trivia as advertised in an email. Well, when we asked about trivia, there was none. We ordered our drinks, and waited about 15 minutes to be offered popcorn and we never were so we asked. (I have been offered popcorn in every 99 I have ever been in). Once we were about 2 sips into our drinks, the blonde bartender came up to us and asked, "Are you three gonna eat?" First of all, there were FOUR of us, and second of all she was just rude. Maybe we would have liked a chance to swallow and look at the menu.
