Almost 4 years ago I started a new fitness routine I didn't think I would enjoy as much as I do. I used to attend one of those bigger gyms, walking in and out alone. Not sure what machine was gonna get me the results I wanted. Not sure who to get advice from on the floor about improving myself physically. The Most Honest Review Ever! My wife and I had been wanting to establish a solid workout routine for a while. We were both active before getting married and wanted something we could enjoy together. She suggested 9Round Tustin, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. Since joining, she's become a boxing fan, and most importantly, she genuinely enjoys working out. Each coach brings their own style, making the experience both fun and challenging. Like any gym, what you put in is what you get out, but 9Round fosters a great community that makes the effort more enjoyable. You see people improve, and before long, they start picking out gloves that match their personalities. A wonderful community and always fun working out. I signed up for 9R and was immediately hooked. The trainers are great and correct your form and the place was very clean and had all the equipment you needed -- not just for the boxing/kickboxing part but for strength training as well (so you don't need to go to another gym for weights or anything like that). Pam and Randy are so encouraging and would check in to make sure everything is going well. I wish I stayed in Tustin, but hopefully they open a location out in NYC. So many reasons to go to this workout establishment but I'll give you my top 3: 1. Workout format. No class times means I don't miss out on an opportunity when running a little late. And ever changing rounds means I always get a great workout and never get bored. 2. Workout quality. You want best burn per minute you can't beat 9round. I burn about 350 calories in 30 minutes (I'm 5'2" so that is a lot of calories for me) and I'm sore so I build muscle on top of the cardio. 3. The trainers. They are the best. I have been to other gyms and even other 9 rounds but the trainers here male it feel like friends not like a chore. They push you, joke with you, and always have a warm welcome. read more

I've been meaning to write a review for my 9 Round gym for a while. Today I did my 200th workout since I joined last Nov 2023, so I thought it was time. Since I started, I've been going pretty consistently, 3-4 days a week. I love that there are no class times, the workouts change everyday, and recently, they extended their hours to 430am to 11pm. I am also in and out in 30ish minutes. You are also going to get a great workout everytime, if you put in the work. But you can get a good workout anywhere. The value of this place, MY 9Round gym, is the people. Pam and Randy, the owners, care about me and my fitness journey. When I'm hurt, they care and help as needed. I'm always greeted with a smile and a "let's go!". The trainers are all awesome. If you need encouragement or have your butt kicked, they will deliver. I love the sparring sessions with my buddy Timmy. And there is true community in this small gym. The people who come here range from men and women that looks like boxers, to grandpas and grandmas. But everyone is welcoming, friendly and supportive. It is a family built around a common goal to get better, stronger and fitter. Over the last year, I have lost over 30lbs and down to 14% body fat. I am more fit today, than I was in my 20s. I could not have done it without this gym. Or at least, it would not have been as fun. Is it hard work, yes. Do you need to be ready to put in the work, yes. But it's worth it and I can't wait for the next years to come. read more

I have a weird work schedule so 9Round was perfect! My favorite part is the fact that it's a total body workout in 30 min. The trainers are super supportive and make sure you are on your game while you are there working out. The people that attend are all various levels so I felt comfortable being a novice. There is something to be said about a boxing gym that is open 4am to 11pm seven days a week. There is no excuse! I truly enoyed myself and was treated with so much love from the staff and clients. This is how much I love my gym: I'm bummed that they are closed for Thanksgiving (a well-deserved break, of course). I have been a member since they opened 5 years ago. I work out about 5 days a week, I stuck with them during the height of the pandemic, and I will continue to be a faithful member until I can't punch or kick anymore. For a point of reference, I'm 53 and in the best shape of my life thanks to the wonderful trainers who push me hard but support and encourage me every step of the way. I look forward to going to the gym every day, because I know I'm going to see my family, who greets me and knows me like one of their own. And I'm going to have a different workout every time that will leave me dripping in sweat after a mere 35 minutes. Its bilateral movement which calms the nervous system. I have noticed that on the days i work out here i have more patience towards my children and fam members. When i go for a few days without working out I can tell i need to come back bc my patience has worn out. I was going to a gym for nearly two years and they cancelled all the night classes I was attending. Since I don't like just running on a treadmill or having to wait for other people to use weight machines, I went looking for other options. And here I am at 9Round. I was a bit nervous at first since it was a different gym experience, but the trainers are amazing and very encouraging. I've been going five days a week for a little over 3 months and love it. They are open early enough for me to get my work out in before work and late enough for me to head over after work. I love the workout format and just overall environment! I currently work out at another 9 Round location and inquired with this location about moving over there due to a change in my commute. I stopped by the location and it looks good. I called back to signup. The signup fees and monthly charges are the highest I have been quoted for any local locations. It seems that both Irvine locations are much less and you should consider those options instead of Tustin. I also question the authenticity of a $200 sign up fee - particularly for a customer that has their gear already. It really came off as a desperate "cash grab". They could do better. You should pass on this place. read more

It's at your own pace unlike class boot camps where everyone is doing the same thing together at the same time. They motivate you positively and the whole crew gets down and works out with you. The best part is the work out is quick so even when you're not feeling into it or don't have much time you can still get the workout complete. 9rounds of workouts, 3 minutes each. You're in and out in 30 minutes and you burn easily somewhere between 300-600 calories. My fiancée and I have been members for just over 30days and we are loving it. We commit to 3-4 days a week. We were just looking for something to switch up our gym routine and that's what we got. Well. Well. Well. My wife started going to 9Round and talked it up a lot. Given the size of my belly and how closely it was resembling Mount Fuji during the pandemic, I decided to check it out. My first day had me cussing everyone for two days given how every muscle in my body was properly mad at me. Every time I had to get up to get something, I first convinced myself why I didn't need it. But eventually cussing continued. And then came the second day. And just like that, the pain was gone. It was replaced by the high of working out. Now I am quite a lazy and non committal person and I'd always choose flaking over following through. But the guys at the gym are simply great. They took a lot of interest in me and laughed at many of my appalling jokes. They were more interested in my fitness than myself. It is run by a family and family is what you feel at 9Round. Pam and Randy somehow know everyone by their real name as well as their gym name. I have mostly worked out with Brenda and Carlos and they have been nothing but exceptional. They know when and how much to push and when to take it easy. Coach Carlos is learning a lot from me as well. I am very happy that I decided to check it out. Let me start by saying you won't find a better team of trainers! I recently came back to 9Round after an almost 2 year hiatus. I came back 70lbs heavier and in worse shape than I was the fist time I started. All the trainers have been beyond supportive of me and push me to do better every time I come in! I joined 9R during covid19 with my husband. The facility is clean and constantly sanitized throughout your workout. Everyone's required to wear masks and half the workout is outside to enforce social distancing guidelines. The staff go above and beyond during this difficult time, having to set everything up outside and bring it back and forth each day. The trainers there are caring and exceptional. Everyday there's a new workout so you are pushed to your limits. You are given feedback through their InBody scans as well so you are aware of where you are all the time. When I first visited 9Round Tustin I had not exercised in *years*. Walking up a flight of stairs left me short of breath, it was not good.
