I have been to other gyms that you can just tell aren't being clean. Dust and spider webs around the place and you don't even want to do a burpee because the floor is so dirty. This place is not like that. I see them cleaning the floors every night and reorganizing all the workout equipment.

The instructor will then go through the workout and demo the moves, while explaining the timing. They always write a great workout that keeps you moving and incorporates some CrossFit movements. You then have the rest of class time to get through the workouts. In my experience, you have to keep moving to be able to complete the entire workout in the classtime, so it's a great challenge. They have two showers in the women's room if you need to shower before heading to work, but you need to bring your own towels. I personally love the workouts here, but I know it may not be everyone's cup of tea because it's a go at your own pace workout, so you don't have a group doing the same moves and timing as you. Parking is ample in this plaza.

I fought in the UFC for almost a decade and Apex Athlete has helped me get fight ready as well as stay in shape between fights. After years of wrestling and a decade of mixed martial arts, I needed to have spine surgery. I took over a year off to recover. And my ONLY regret was that I stayed away from Apex Athlete for too long! Once I felt recovered enough to get back to work with Travis, my progress and gains skyrocketed! I know in my heart I wouldn't be where I'm at health & strength wise if it wasn't for Apex Athlete. If you think you know what you're getting into when you sign up as an Apex Athlete, think again. It's much more than just lifting weights in the gym! We push the sled outside, lap pool workouts, beach workouts in the sand, surf sessions, rock climbing sessions, sprint workouts on the track, 1000 Steps Laguna stair workouts, long treks/hikes in the wilderness, trail runs... you gotta keep your body guessing and Coach Travis definitely does that! This gym is a whole experience. On an average day, you'll hear Coach Travis mention that "every day is a new opportunity to grow in mind-body & spirit", "Comfort is a disease, embrace the suck," "No substitute for hard work!" Coach Trav knows that everyone is different, and figures out how to inspire and motivate each person. He's brought out the best version of me and will do the same for you. It's a different vibe at Apex. The friendly and supportive atmosphere created by Coach Trav & fellow gym-goers adds an extra layer of enjoyment to training. It's more like a family, motivating and keeping each other accountable.... Love the positive vibes here. Never too crowded and the facilities are always clean & well maintained. Fitness has been my entire life and to me, a gym isn't just a place for exercise; it's a place you can de-stress, socialize, and work out.

The first half of the class was an interval training between walking, jogging, and running. And the second half of the class was strength training. I wish there was more guidance from the instructor for the second half but it was just following what was on the screen like 100 step ups, 90 plank shoulder taps, 80 something, 70 something, etc. It was kind of like F45 style but without the timer and stations. Since there wasnt too much guidance on that part, I felt like I pretty much paid for an interval training on the treadmill. I enjoyed the experience though and would be open to trying out a different class to give it a fair review of if I want to continue or not. I'm still giving it a solid 4 stars though because I pay attention to little details. This studio had HAIR TIES and TAMPONS and even face wash in their bathrooms for us girlies and it's not much but so thoughtful!! Also there are earplugs inside the studio room for those who think its too loud!!! I get headaches when its too loud so I felt so seen and understood by the studio. Also at the end of class, a staff walks around passing out COLD WET TOWELS so you can cool down. These are all little extras that really make a studio stand out so kudos to this place!!

All the equipment you need and more is fit pretty spaciously for what they got. Really impressed & the smith machine was my favorite for sure. Everything, including the bathrooms were SUPER clean and organized. Loved that. 10/10 hoping i can go there more often when my home gym closes a little to early or even make it my home gym. On top of all of that, being the heaviest I've ever been. All of those combined had me searching for something different than your average gym. (I have had other memberships in the past but had no idea what I was doing.) Found Eliana through a mutual friend who she had been training and she looked AMAZING. One day, I managed the courage to message her and say how curious I had been. She responded with a friendly invitation to come in the next day. I ended up going in for a trial session and was so out of breath from exercising that I had to sit down on the floor. (I felt so embarrassed.) Eliana literally SAT DOWN on the floor with me and told me that we could get up when I was ready.... That was it for me. That meant the entire world to me and STILL does. I Immediately fell in love with the people and the gym itself. Eliana put me on a food plan and taught me the importance of nourishing your body by eating WHOLE foods. On the days that I would slip, I never got spoken down to. Only have I ever been met with support. I am now on month 5 and I am down 2 pant sizes + down 23 pounds!
