Best gym in Orange County. Not only are you gaining great knowledge from two of the best coaches around, but you're gaining access to an amazing family environment as well. Where everyone from every level is willing to help the person next to them. Oc boxing has all the equipment needed to work on your craft to become a better boxer. I usually go to the 11am class sessions which are always a blast. The coaches truly take the time to help you make the adjustments you need to be the best version of yourself that you can be

Great coaching and technical training. If you are trying to really learn how to box and not just hit a bag, this is the place to go. Friendly and welcoming environment for all levels. Sean and George are great coaches, they are very helpful and humble. I would recommend this to people of all ages and skill levels. Boxing is a skill you will have for life and can pass it down to others, it's more than a hobby it's a life skill.

Any of them can vouch for me. In my entire career, I have never had a single billing dispute with a client. I know this industry from the inside, which is exactly why my experience at The Box has been so disappointing. I came to The Box in early 2024 on a strong recommendation from a close friend, and at first I loved it. My coach, Coach Yuka, is excellent, and I valued the many sparring partners I got to share the ring with. From day one, though, I noticed the owner frequently no-shows on clients and talks far more than he actually trains. As a trainer myself, I clocked it immediately, but I figured it wasn't my problem and kept it to myself. After everything that followed, I think it's worth letting people know he is not a serious coach. My issue is not with the training staff, who are great. It's with the owner and how the business is run. Every single person I sparred with at The Box was a good sport. The owner was the exception. When I got in the ring with him, rather than boxing technically he repeatedly lunged, and at one point threw his shoulder into my face after breaking up a clinch he had started. I hurt my back so badly I couldn't walk the next day. He let his ego surpass his professionalism, and what should have stayed a respectful exchange in the ring turned into something he then carried into how he treated me as a paying client. After that, I canceled my membership, and Mario confirmed the cancellation. A year later, reviewing my finances, I discovered he had been charging me the entire time. He agreed to refund me but only returned half of what I was owed. I let it go because I planned to come back and keep training. When I returned, I came with my family. Previously I paid about $60 a month for myself and my kids, so I expected something reasonable. When I asked about my missing refund, he said it had gone toward "enrollment fees." As a professional, I can tell you it is not standard to charge enrollment fees to someone who only trains privately once a week rather than using the classes and facilities. Those clients are typically given a discounted rate. We finally agreed, in writing, on $180 a month with no enrollment fee, to be charged on the 20th. Without any notice, I was charged $297. I tried to confirm the amount beforehand and the receptionist ran the card anyway. When I put the discrepancy in writing, that we'd agreed to $180 and I was charged $297, he never actually addressed it. Instead of fixing the charge, he replied with a long breakdown of "the actual numbers" and how much value I was supposedly getting. I didn't ask for a sales pitch. I asked why I was charged a different amount than we agreed on. That question never got answered. Instead, he cornered me and claimed I now owed $780 for a month we'd used, even though he had already agreed to credit me that month. So rather than refunding the payment I'd just made, he moved the goalposts entirely. Billing here is a nightmare. When it's time to collect, they're relentless. When it's time to honor an agreement or process a cancellation, they vanish. I've worked in this field for over 15 years and have never seen a client treated this way. I can't recommend doing business with this owner.

The owners are some of the most honest and hardworking people you'll ever meet. In a world full of gimmicks, they're the real deal. The coaches somehow manage to keep a room full of energetic kids focused, which honestly deserves its own championship belt. They invest in the youth, support the community, and make every kid feel like they belong. Rumor has it that after a few months here, kids stand taller, work harder, and suddenly start cleaning their rooms. I can't confirm the last one, but the confidence boost is definitely real get it

This is based on lack of professionalism. And a business that has coaches who are not being a multi-faceted role models and be involved. Coaches not not fully engaged in the indivuals training. I understand that coaches may be overwhelmed with multiple responsibilties training many athletes, managing schedules , or handling commitments. But this place needs improvement with communication, coaches need to be actively involved (NOT JUST PRESENT). Since January this year I referred one of dear friends to this place and pay for the invidiual sessions. Only to be disappointed that the trainers dont create training plans and understand feedback or show motivation and support. We validate by improvement and monitor progress because this is needed as this is a skill development by encouragment and positivity. In this case Coaches need to understand everyones perspectives and be more involved. (NOT ALWAYS ON THE PHONES) I am extremely disappointed and hope this business can be more involved with their customers. I have launched an investigation and a follow-up.

Before this gym and before BJJ and Kickboxing/Muay Thai, I wasn't very confident in myself. I struggled to have hard conversations, make hard decisions and stick to commitments. I knew I needed to be better but I just didn't know how to be comfortable being uncomfortable. Well, that six week challenge did more for me than anything else I had done before. It put in an uncomfortable amount of effort, pain, stress, and happiness! I was terrified, I was never good at cardio, I would always throw up (and I did my first class!) but what I found is everyone here is rooting for you. Coach Eric who conducted my first class was so proud that I made it back into the class even after the bathroom break. Because all the coaches here have started where you have started. And they are here to support you, guide you and help you mold yourself into the best version of yourself. In completing the six week challenge, I had found the best version of myself. Someone I had desired to be but didn't know how to get there. I'm confident in my abilities, in my body, in my mind, in putting myself in uncomfortable positions and knowing I have what it takes to overcome it and succeed. I have made so many friends and found that I really have made this gym my second home! Coach Eric, Carlos, Regis and Coach Marcello are so supportive and incredible teachers who are so knowledgeable and great at pushing you forward and to your goals. If you're on the fence, take that leap of faith. It's worth it, even if it's just for the 6 weeks! You'll come out stronger and better than you were then. And if you're a woman, come on over we're more than excited to have more women join and be part of our girl team!

The coaching has been excellent across the board, and the atmosphere is one of the best parts of the gym. He's knowledgeable, patient, funny, and somehow manages to challenge everyone while making beginners feel comfortable. I'm also looking forward to trying some of the cardio kickboxing classes and boot camps. It's nice that there's more here than just Jiu Jitsu. If you're thinking about giving martial arts a shot, whether you're brand new or getting back into it, I'd absolutely recommend Total MMA Studios.

The intro session was good and the two boys were enthusiastic but other sports got in the way of immediately following up. Four weeks later their summer schedule finally opened up and we went to book using the three sessions each boy had. Turns out that's a problem If you buy any sessions they come with a very very short period before they expire. But if the coach you're supposed to be using isn't available when your kid is- well tough luck. Every week we tried to see if our schedule aligned with Chuck's. For the weeks that we could do the sessions - It didn't - and by the time our schedule and his finally aligned the session block we booked expired. For context, I don't have a sports background, but I do have strength training and powerlifting experience. I wanted to find something that would build real cardio capacity while still challenging me technically. When I decided to learn boxing, I searched everywhere for a place that wasn't just another "boxing-inspired workout" class. I wanted real coaching, not a group cardio session. That is exactly what Classic Boxing Coach offers. I was quick to become obsessed with boxing. If you're reading this, I encourage you to make the call. Chuck will be honest about whether the class is right for you. This isn't the kind of gym where you can just walk in and spar with whoever's around. The training is technical, and safety is a priority. You can't improve if you're getting hurt. Sparring and drills vary between technical and looser sessions, and because the groups are small, you get a lot of focused attention from the coaches. Chuck is also highly knowledgeable about diet and overall fitness. I attribute a lot of my physique progress to his advice. I weighed 234 lbs the day I walked in, and I'm now around 202 lbs and in the best shape of my life (I'm 6 ft tall). I've also worked with Coach Andrew for a few sessions, and he is great as well. Very challenging and good for conditioning. I haven't yet worked with Coach Morgan but have only heard great things. Whoever you end up training with, you'll get real coaching and a group of serious, respectful boxers who push you to get better. It is not cheap. But also, can you find A5 Wagyu at USDA Select prices? You get what you pay for. Here you get that and far more. tl;dr chunky guy walks in, lean mean fighter walks out. looked for cardio, found a new obsession and made cool friends.
