What a cute little deli with a huge food selection of sandwiches, chips, candy, and more in the cooler. Lots to choose from and the staff were all friendly and quick. My favorite was the cowboy steak and cheese!

Only my second time visiting here but not much has changed since I was last here about 8 years ago. Quick lunch while moving my kiddo into college. This place had an old school charm to it with a big menu. The sandwiches are amazing. We ordered turkey, an Italian and cheesesteaks. All were delicious. They have a ton of chips to choose from if you want some with your sandwich. They have a cooler full of deli salads as well. We shared potato salad and it was also really good. They also had fried foods like chicken tenders, fries, etc. they have several types of burgers, salads and breakfast sandwiches as well. I really enjoyed my cheesesteak. I tried some of the Italian and thought it was delicious also. My buddy told me next time I need to also try the tuna salad. The folks working were very friendly. The prices seemed very fair also. I definitely want to visit here on my next visit to Indiana.

Sandwiches were delicious. Bread was super! The homemade chips were also very good. Would return!

Stopped across the street for the Jimmy Stewart museum but knew I'd be stopping in at 9th Street Deli afterwards since business seemed to be humming and a sandwich sounded good. Ordering at first was a little confusing since you order at one counter but then get chips/drinks and pay at the other, but I was quickly straightened out. There's 3-4 tables in the restaurant and then 2-3 on the outside. Our family opted to eat inside which was fun as it gave us an opportunity to look around at all the college pennants that were hung on the wall. Our schools weren't represented (Boise State and BYU), but I did see an Idaho State University one which was cool! Service was pretty quick and our sandwich was a great size to share and had plenty of toppings as well as oil and vinegar. Prices were pretty reasonable and I could see us definitely stopping in again when in Indiana, PA!

Great prices and food. They have free refills on drinks and a nice outdoor seating area, dog and kid friendly. Service was quick and workers were very patient and kind

I LOVE 9th street deli. I started coming here in college almost 10 years ago. Since then, I've made regular trips back and always stop here. Everything I've had from the chicken parm hoagie to the Italian hoagie is amazing. My favorite is the streak and cheese hoagie with everything on it. I will say since the new owners took over, the sandwiches slightly different. They are a bit more greasy and aren't constructed as well(when you take a bite, it's all veggie, or it's all bread). The cashier, Diane, is the sweetest woman and part of the reason to keep going back. She is cheerful and friendly no matter how packed and rushed it might be there.

Had a work matter to attend to in Indiana, PA. The Jimmy Stewart museum had been on our bucket list for quite some time (which was fantastic by the way) and we were hungry after our visit. 9th Street Deli seemed to be a popular spot, with several people going in and out. We got a couple of sandwiches to share--a spicy italian and the other one is slipping my mind--but both were huge and quite good! Service was fast and though there was limited seating both inside and out for how many people were there that day, we managed to find a table and did not feel too rushed. In other words, the people came and went quickly so there were always enough tables, though they are few. Enjoyed looking at all the college banners as well while we ate! Our schools weren't represented, but should we come back some day, maybe we will bring a little flag along! haha!

The best subs ever, in sizes ranging from generous to ginormous. They also make soups from scratch fresh daily.

Some of the best subs I have ever gotten. It's a bit overpriced for what it is but when I do come here I'm never disappointed

Up at IUP visiting before winter break. We decided to visit the Primanti's up here. Our college…read morestudent kids eat here regularly but this is our first visit to this particular Primanti. First thing that struck me was how much brighter and cleaner and better decorated it is than the one by our house and for that matter most of the other locations I've visited. Granted this one is maybe a year or so old. On this visit I decided to get the Oven Baked Italian Crostini. I've had it numerous times before and I find it to be decent sandwich. I however swap out the dressing they always put on it and will use balsamic glaze if I'm at home or if eating in, I'll ask for a side of balsamic salad dressing. The sandwich is a pretty cheap option and comes with a mound of fries. We visited in a Saturday and so I chose the daily special tall pour of IC Light. I thought everything was decent. Seemed a bit better than the one by our house. My wife ordered her go to which is the cheesesteak bomb. It's a huge sandwich that also comes with a mound of fries. Recently we've been disappointed when we've ordered them as the meat has had some gristly pieces in it which kind of makes us stop eating. But she gave it another try and thankfully had none of the gristle in this one. The restaurant was not very busy do a Saturday afternoon, perhaps because of inclement weather expected and it was the last day for students at IUP before winter break. Despite the place being fairly empty, the service was lacking a little. In summary; newer and cleaner location, food a little better, service fair.

Someday I will get something other than a sandwich, but today wasn't that day. I had the Ragin…read moreCajun and it was perfect. Our bartender was engaging, and handled a pretty full bar during a Steelers MNF game with ease. Lively atmosphere because of the game.
