I love the Acai base but I notice when I order just the base they don't put no where near the same amount of base in the cup which makes no sense if I'm not getting any toppings. The last time I asked for just the base they filled up the cup half way and left so much space left especially with the lid?! For the price I'm paying I'm expecting to fill up the cup all the way to the brim and nothing less! On one of the hottest days this summer, Acai Mood offered the perfect lunch for me: Skinny Papaya drink and Chicken Panini. The skinny papaya is a refreshing mix of papaya, orange, grapefruit, lettuce, and aloe vera! The mix is smooth with just a touch of grapefruit for kick. The panini was a surprise because it was filling yet light. Not oily or tough as I expected. We took our order to go and enjoyed it at a nearby park where the meal travelled well. 7/9/25 Finally got the chance to check out the brick & mortar shop for Açai Mood. Teresa was friendly & welcoming. The indoor is cute & decorated nicely, plenty of IG-worthy background for photo ops. There's enough space to gather around a few friends to hang out & chill to enjoy your cool treats (about 20 people), tables & chairs to accommodate. You could build your own açai bowl or choose from their recommended bowls, I chose my usual Girasol & Tropic Thunder for Hubby on medium bowls. There's a selection of fresh fruits for toppings which are peeled & cut on the spot: bananas, strawberries, kiwis, blueberries etc. The bases are so delicious with the consistency of frozen sorbets like mango & coconut. Hubby's bowl was way too sweet but mine was perfectly & sweet tangy, creamy delicious, fresh! Parking is surely limited (street), not sure if there was any parking in the rear of the shop. First met Acai Mood at the Alhambras farmers market and loved their bowl. Plus, it's one of the few healthy food options there. I saw they opened nearby so I went to their shop. Parking I a bit hard with street parking but I found it for free in the surrounding residential area. The shop is quaint and has a small table to buy local wares. Staff is very friendly and I decided to try a salty and sweet mango acai bowl. It was delicious and everything was super fresh. I also tried a smooth with whey protein, not sure why but it was SO whipped. The cup felt so light with air and the texture was too light to me. It actually tasted better after it melted/was older. I won't be getting that again but the acai bowls are delicious. read more
