I came around 12 and it was pretty empty, but the workers were so nice and made my smoothie very quickly! Theres no seating as its a super small shop, so it's more of a stop and grab a drink kind of place. I got the Cloud 9 since I love coconut and mango. Although it was pretty good, its not quite what I was expecting. It tasted a little more sweet than I imagined but either way was still tasty. I absolutely LOVE the açaí bowls here. I really like that there is a variety of toppings to choose from and they really fill up your bowl. I skipped the grand opening crowds and stopped by about a week later when it was completely empty, much more my style. I've been to their Rosemead location before, so I'm happy to have one closer to home and another option for acai bowls in the area. Prices are about the same as other SGV spots. I always build my own bowl, and I really like their ube base and chia seed pudding. One downside is the extra $0.75 charge for almond butter, which most other acai places include for free. Another con is that this location is strictly grab-and-go, there's no seating at all to enjoy your bowl. They're still on soft-opening hours and currently open at noon, so hopefully they'll extend their hours soon. Overall, I'll definitely be adding Acai Joint into my regular acai rotation. read more

Came back again because I got a BOGO coupon from the grand opening. I thought the coupon would work for all size bowls but it only worked for the small, so that's what I got. I ordered the small Paradise Bowl and the Warrier Bowl. There was no wait to order since I came a little bit after they opened. The employees made my bowls fast and they looked good. They also told me about the rewards program so I joined it. The Paradise bowl was really good and I think I actually might like this better than the OG Bowl. The peanut butter went better than I expected with the granola and acai. The mango madness was also really good and tasted like a mango slush but thicker- it went well with the acai too. The Warrior Bowl was also pretty good and all the toppings went well together. I hate to leave a bad review because I've been a regular here for a while and I usually love this place. It's close by and has been one of my go-to spots for açaí bowls. That said, my last few visits haven't been great. The main issue is consistency--my bowls have been coming out with barely any açaí base, which is pretty disappointing considering that's the main part of the bowl. Tonight's experience especially stood out. The employee working (long dark hair in a ponytail) avoided eye contact while my sister and I were ordering and didn't seem to be listening to what we were saying. We ordered two completely different bowls, but she rushed through making them--even though the store was empty--and didn't confirm any of the toppings. As a result, both bowls were made incorrectly. When I pointed it out after paying, she finally acknowledged us, but the whole interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. I'm not trying to be overly critical--I just expect better attention to detail and customer service, especially as someone who comes here often. Still love this place for acai. Been to their baldwin park and rosemead locations. This one is smaller so only pick up and find somewhere else to eat it which is fine. Staff was friendly and nice with lots of parking since it shares the plaza with vons among other stores so you shouldn't have a problem finding a spot. Love the base for how it isn't too soft well it is already melting when I get home which is about 10 minutes away.
