My washer broke down the lid switch went out. I asked for an appt to fix washer my appt was 10-12 there was confusion about it, the woman called and said 12-2 so i had to call to get a confirmation and straighten that problem they showed up at 1120 project went smoothly finshed at noon then quoted me 141 for parts and labor a litte pricey for 40 min of work on a one man job although the second guy just collected the money did paperwork and got the part out of the truck. They said warranty 90 days. Service was good but pricey for 40 min job and a cheap part. Not sure if i would consider them again because they charge too much for labor. 150 dollars per hour for labor is a little pricey. read more

Horrible business!! We have contacted them dozens of times about a small refrigerator. The office says they will be available in a couple of days so my husband goes over there to find none are repaired. This has gone on for months! Poor customer service also. They never answer their phones. My daughter bought a dryer a year ago and was told delivery would be on a specific day. No show!!!!! 3 days later they returned the call. read more

I bought a 1000$ fridge and as soon as the warranty expired the fridge broke down. They quoted me 900$ to get it fixed. The lady was not willing to negotiate the price. Yesterday we had A1 install a dishwasher that was purchased at Lowe's. The repair man, John, who was installing it informed me that Lowe's had sold me the wrong power cord and the correct one was supposed to be included and in the dishwasher. Also missing was the bottom toe panel. After long waits on the phone with Lowe's John said he would only charge me for a service call and to let him know when I got the missing parts. I immediately drove to Lowe's and finally got the parts. When I called A1 to let them know I had them the lady stated they were booked up for a few days but would let me know if it could be sooner. Less than an hour later she called me and said John would return after he finished a service call. He did a good job in the installation and A1 is to be complemented for their excellent and timely customer service. Next time I will buy my appliances from them rather than a "big box" store. read more

october 2, today i called a-1 to get a repair on my dryer which stopped working and i asked for the price of their service charge. i was told one price of 79.oo dollars and that was fine then when i gave my address i was told another higher price 89.00 dollars . i feel their are gouging because i live on the morongo reservation. not everyone living there is a member. i told them that this is a very racist thing to do and refused to use their service , ask . don't use the company.!!!! read more

It was the Saturday before Easter Sunday - early afternoon. My refrigerator started making funny noises. I went down to A-1 Appliance and told them my problem. They were closing within an hour. They actually diverted their serviceman from another call to my house because my situation was dire (possible compressor failure). Their servicemen arrived shortly thereafter and tested my refrigerator. I needed a part and with labor it came to about $150.00. But, they saved the day. I would recommend this company to anyone. They are very prompt and professional. They bent over backwards to accommodate me. Two thumbs up and five stars. read more

I bought a washer there because mine had broke down. A few weeks later maybe like 3 weeks the one I bought from here breaks down! We called and they wouldn't answer? Then they call us the next day saying they were busy? Umm that was so unprofessional of them to do. They come the next day and then they say they need to exchange the washer. A-1 repair has fixed my washing machine, and stove, and also the refrigerator twice. They often can come out within a few hours, and are polite, they fix it right the first time and the prices are reasonable. This week was the 4th time I'm had them fix an appliance in the last few years. Only once has there been a miscommunication about the repair appointment time. read more

Sometimes when trying to save, you end up spending more. Unfortunately i picked up a Samsung side by side, upon delivery we noticed bottom freezer was working fine top fridge only cooled to to about 52. Paid for my own repair guy, because they dont come out to Palm Spring, which is only a 20min drive from banning. Repair guy told me it would be $400 with parts and labor to get it running right again. Which is almost as much as the fridge is worth. Considering theres no refund. Im having to pay to haul it back to their store for them to validate their warranty and of course pay to haul back the same one after they fix it or a different fridge altogether, then cross my finger it will work properly to not have to go through the same hassle all over again. The owner and people that worked there were very rude and were not knowledgeable about the product they sold. The store and appliances in it were not presentable. Very dirty! read more

Yes, their appliances are a good price .... if you take them with you. Don't expect normal installation with your appliance. AND don't call for repair. Not fixable is the standard answer you have to replace the appliance and that is where their sales pitch begins. Both my neighbor and myself called for repairs and were told that they do not do plumbing or connections on dishwashers or refrigerators. I've called A1 to have my washer and refrigerator repaired. I felt the prices were reasonable, and they did a good job. Very knowledgeable repair men. Sometimes hard to get a call back from their office lady. It causes some miscommunication sometimes. But other than that. I think they did a great job. I would recommend A1 if you need repairs. Theses people had a so called appliance repairman work on our expensive built in refrigeration. He overcharged the refrigerant as he thought the mfg service manual was not correct.
