Best wash in the area despite the longer wait time. Be prepared to spend 30 min, but your car will come out cleaner than other places. Reasonable price as well. Full hand wash with proper microfiber drying towels. read more

Decided to try out this place because of the excellent reviews it has. However, I left very disappointed. They did wash my car inside and out, shiny and all but didn't really wash the part that I went there for, there were some tree debris stuck in my car and they said that was not included, that is not part of the car wash, so what is it? I guess I will go back to the place I always go, where they really wash my car how is supposed to. I wasted one whole hour there and $17 for nothing. read more

I wish I could give them no stars at all. They scratched my brand new BMW M series and proceed to tell me it wasn't them. Even though this was MY FIRST CAR WASH! Scratches all over. On the hood, trunk, roof and right passage side. Then after further arguing they finally agreed to buff my car the next day. When I left I had a friend there getting their car cleaned as well and he over heard the employees trash talking about me and stating that I'm a liar. That I had the car scratched else where even though the next black car they cleaned got similar scratches all over due to their towels. Talk about horrible customer service. DO NOT GO THERE. FOR YOUR CAR'S SAKE DO NOT BRING IT TO THEM. read more

I've been looking for a good had car wash to avoid scratching up the paint on my new car. I decided to checkout A-1 after reading all of the good reviews on Yelp. I arrived around 5pm on a Monday and there were about 5 cars ahead of me - the wait was about an hour, which was a little annoying but I would not want to rush quality so it's understandable. They did a pretty good job on both the exterior and interior and it was only $14 - totally worth it. My only concern - despite this being a hand car wash, it seems they were using the same car wash mits for every car and they looked really dirty. I was expecting them to use fresh ones for every car. been here a few times since they reopened. first time I was charged the old price of $14. but every time after is $20. after 10 washes, the 11th one is free. a bit pricey now. might consider a new cheaper car wash after I get my free wash. read more

Probably the best car wash I've been to in the NJ/NYC area. I usually wash my car myself and am very particular in how it's done but A1 does a high quality wash! Avoid the weekends long lines by going during the week (even worth the wait if you have the time.) Polite and efficient staff. Unbeatable prices (esp for the quality). read more

A hidden place but worth the find. We got a full wash with interior cleaning and vacuuming for 12$. They took they time cleaning the car and did a wonderful job. The car looked even better than when we bought is new from the dealer! Will certainly come back for all future car washes. read more

Today was my first time at A-1 carwash. This place is terrific. Pleasant people working. Excellent job on my car that was very, very dirty. Not one spot was forgotten when cleaning inside and out. I had my tires shined for an additional $2 bringing the grand total to $14. The men work so hard and are so thorough that I don't believe there is any other place locally that could possible do a better job. ALL HAND WASH - no machines! Good car wash around the area, hand wash, they start off with lots of water, that's key to hand washes, most places barely rinse the car in the beginning, they soak the car, hand wash it, get the wheels really clean too. They spend around 6-9 minutes just cleaning away. I have a four door sedan BTW.... Inside out overall a great job, will be returning here since most car washes in the area either don't use enough water, or they use the bath towels to dry off! I can't stand that, (swirls from bath clothes) they use the right materials. read more

$12 bucks plus an appropriate tip gets your car washed by hand with much noticeable attention to detail. They charge an extra $5 for SUV's, well worth the money since they deep vacuum the entire upholstery including the trunk area, including wiping down all moisture and dirt from the inside of all door jams. They also wipe down the entire dash including center console, and pay special attention to all glass surfaces, inside and out, as well as all mirrored surfaces. They always ask if you want the spray tire shine, not sure how much they charge but I always decline because I don't like the way this product splashes against the paint. The only negative issue with this place and why they get 4 out of 5 stars, the wait time is brutal. I've brought 2 cars to them so far and the average time has been 45 mins to an hour plus both times. This is certainly not typical for a hand car wash spot in my neighborhood so make sure you have some time to spare before you visit this place. read more
