We had called 5 different companies all were insanely expensive even for just labor, finally found Budget Moving Services, spoke to the owner, Nicholas about 2 nights before we loaded up everything from the crates in the warehouse. They arrived 20min early, Nicholas and his team of movers (Sam and Phil) showed up ready to work, were hardworking from start to finish, wrapped all our furniture, packed and stacked it perfectly to optimize every cubic foot in the truck(s) -- they ended up filling up 2 u-haul moving trucks, what I thought would take 8hrs or more only took them 5 and a half hours! They were organized, quick and showed safety during their work ethic on top of being very affordable and in my humble opinion very high-quality. Felt good to support the smaller family-owned movers vs the bigger moving companies! They were 1/2 the price, the service was fully personalized and there were no hidden fees or anything that was no mentioned or talked about. Support your local small moving services if you're near Lawrenceville, metro-Atlanta or anywhere in North Georgia! Went to the front desk to ask a few questions and buy some boxes and the woman up front had terrible customer service. She was kinda rude and made me feel like I was bothering her or something? You can tell she doesn't like her job. Skip a few months later, I'm moving out, finally, so I call to ask some questions and I knew it was her that answered the phone because I recognized her voice and her tone. It's been a long time since I've used a storage unit, so maybe this is normal? Their site quoted me a web special of $47 a month for a 5'x10' unit, plus a $24 one-time admin fee. No biggie on the admin fee, it was disclosed on the site and the employee called and confirmed it with me. But when I got there, I was also required to purchase their insurance which was a minimum of $16.50 more per month. So now I'm at $63.50 a month - not such a great deal anymore! Then I also had to buy their lock for $18. I only need the space for a couple of months, so I'll suck it up, but wish I had known the big picture when comparing with other companies.
