Don't fall for the 50 percent off specials. I got my rental the last week of the month and they counted that as one of the month special. Then they increased the rent the month after. That's how they make up the money for the "specials" they give. read more

I checked out many different storage companies but decided to go with A1 as they had the best security system and was very well maintained. My unit was not thermo controlled which worried me initially, but when i checked it out in person the temperature was pretty low despite the hot weather outside. Just called the (669) number to book my online reservation for a unit at the Senter Rd location and the service rep was more than helpful to assist me with the rental process. She even stayed on the phone till I was done just in case I needed help.. that's what I call customer service! As soon as I filled out everything.. I got a call from the storage facility telling me to come in so they can show me my rental unit. All in all, the rental process went super smooth and not to mention their prices were a lot cheaper than most competitors. Thanks A-1 for making it super simple! read more

Was hoping to have a wonderful experience at this storage center but customer service was terrible. We checked out their cart and were asked to provide our driver license for them to hold as we used the cart and were also asked to return within half an hour. To accommodate, we rushed moving our items to meet the half an hour deadline and by the time we returned to the front office, the gal was gone and the sign said to call the courtesy phone for assistance as the staff was out on the grounds. Of course, the phone did not connect to anything and when calling their emergency number, the representative heard our situation and proceeded to route us to a voicemail. With no ability to contact anyone for help, we had to wait outside of the office. This is so unprofessional, knowing there was a customer who checked out a cart and were given a deadline to return, there is no excuse to just disappear from the front office and leave us hanging without our driver license. I understand the staff may need to leave the office to handle other tasks but at least make sure there is a reliable method for customers to get in contact with the staff when needed. We have been stuck outside for at least half an hour just sitting and waiting on the curb as I write this review. On top of that, we found rat droppings in our storage unit. Other people have said this place is clean but the rat shit proves otherwise. Will be looking for another place to store my stuff, you have lost this customer. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. read more

I have 3 storage units. 2 at Public Storage ( and let me say that they suck.) And 1 here at A-1 for many years and have never had any problems and most important (NO BREAK INS). And the gate hours(closes at 10pm) Are the best. read more

From start of contract to end of contract A-1 Self Storage was awesome. We used them for just under a year to store our house items as we moved out of the area. I never worried about our items safety while there. Between the locks they use, passcodes to get in and out of the area and even to use the elevator made sure your items couldn't be moved unless it was you doing it. I would recommend them to anyone who is in need of a place to store your belongings. read more

I don't know if this makes sense without a drawing, but my 10x4 unit's door opened to the center of the unit lengthwise, so I could store items on the left and on the right. I love this because everything is reachable. At other storage locations, the door opens from the shorter width, and large items would be stored to the back and not accessible until move out time. I found A-1 because the past self-storage location I used randomly raised the rent on me. I hope that doesn't end up happening here too. This is the cleanest self-storage center I have ever seen. That was a very nice, unexpected perk. They have the friendliest and most professional staff! When I signed up for my first month, there weren't additional hidden fees added on - just the basic one time admin fee and the insurance. There's plenty of parking and cold water in the office (helpful after several hours of moving). The price & location was unbeatable for me and booking was extremely easy. read more

I was super excited when I found the rental rates at this location were significantly lower than most of its competitors in the area. On my first visit the staff was very pleasant and professional, and during my tour of the facility everything appeared to be clean and well-kept. Unfortunately, after hauling all my stuff and packing everything away in my unit I came across MULTIPLE cockroaches in and around my unit's area. I immediately notified the front office and while they did state that they occasionally spray the facility with pesticide, I have no way of knowing if anything will actually be done to address the problem. read more

We were looking for stroge unit to move our stuff asap we found out A-1 storage was opening right next to our house and we kept calling to see when they were opening. They were freindly and informed us that they would call as soon as they open. We finally got a call back to let us noe that the facilty wasnt 100% ready but they were 100% ready to help us out. I have had a great experience with speaking with Chris to signing up and doing the walk through with Andrea. They are both very professional. Since my interaction was more with Andrea, I will speak/write about her and the facility itself. She is very thorough. Takes her time to explain and answer any questions I had. I felt like she gave me her undivided attention not rushed at all like at other places. The facility is newer, spaces are big for a good price. The space I rented has good lighting and I love the locks they use. I believe my stuff is safe and in good hands here. I would recommend to everyone. I got first month free! read more

First thing, the property is very clean and well kept, a little creepy when you're on the floor alone but that's beside the point. When I came to check it out there was a very nice man named Kevin who was very helpful, showed me around, answered all my questions and helped me to decide on this facility to store my things. Then, we went to the office to do paperwork and that's where I met a very condescending, rude, thinks he knows more than all of his coworkers, speaks over them in front of customers, and did I mention RUDE person named Chris. I felt terrible for Kevin because instead of helping him all he did was embarrass him.
