I needed to pack my home for a move. Lunardi moving and storage answered the phone, scheduled my job right away, and followed through at every step. They sent two wonderful guys who were so efficient and hard-working. We were not able to finish everything in one day so I requested that they come back the next week for another session of packing. Both times, they arrived exactly when they said they would and brought all the moving materials in their truck so I did not have to pre-buy anything. I even needed special boxes for artwork and wine bottles and they provided those as well. I thought the price was very reasonable for what they did. I was not able to use them for the moving truck because I am moving out of state. (However, the owner said he would soon be getting the out-of-state license so that will be a service that is available in the future.) I'm happy to provide my highest recommendation for this company and the people who work there. read more

Finally getting around to a kudos review of Lunardi Moving Services. Executive Summary: Pros all the way. That said, the details: We were recommended to Lunardi for our short distance move within San Jose by friends who had previously contracted with them for their own local moves (Silicon Valley). We had them move our "packed to the gills" 1400 sq ft home plus loaded two-car garage to a slightly larger home about 2.5 miles away from each other. Initial price quote was a bit higher than a couple of the other companies contacted but felt it was worthwhile and still reasonable given that they were a "friend-recommended" company. Our final payment amount did come out a bit higher at the end of the day but that was due to OUR adding more to the load than what I originally told them that required a second round trip. On top of that, we had them haul away and dispose of a number of large items that we decided to not hassle with selling or otherwise disposing of ourselves. (Large cabinets, desk, chairs and more.) The moving crew was on time, started right in as soon as they got to our place and took extra time being VERY CAREFUL with our more fragile items (and honestly, items that weren't even what I would have considered that fragile). Meaning: they went over and above by plastic wrapping and padding things that I personally would have just thrown in a truck! Special notes: They also moved our baby grand piano, taking care to disassemble the legs and top, wrapping everything with padding and reassembling perfectly at our destination. When I moved a dozen years ago, I had to have a specialty mover move the piano so this was a definite plus!! And, on top of that, they moved a very large "crafting cabinet" with swing out doors (that contain integral storage making it double deep) and moved it into its destination room whose entrance hall way and door was barely wide enough to fit through and required a very tight turn/maneuver to get it in! I had walked away from watching them in the tight hallway (see pic) to do something else and when I returned less than five minutes later, it was in the room exactly where it was supposed to go. I was scratching my head wondering, "How did they do that?!" But no matter, they did! They were also careful in making sure that related items (like TVs and their remote controls or tables and their legs) were bundled together and securely affixed to each other so it minimized our having to look all over for items that went together. That was much appreciated. All in all, they made our move very smooth and efficient. If I were moving again - which I NEVER want to do again, haha! - will call Lunardi first. Special shout out to Daniel Navarro, our "moving consultant" at Lunardi for being prompt, courteous and a pleasure to work with. But, have to say that everyone on the crew were excellent! I hired Lunardi to pack all my furniture, because I was moving, and store them for several months. After I settled in my new home, I scheduled with the manager, Marcio who was very accommodating, to deliver my furniture and place them in my home accordingly. Marcio sent a 4 man crew in about an hour and a half, they were done. The crew was very accommodating, professional and worked efficiently. The best part of the company was to use furniture moving blankets, cardboard and clear wrapping to ensure each piece of furniture was protected. I couldn't have asked or gotten a better company as Lunardi. I was very pleased and would highly recommend them to anyone who is moving or need to store their goods. read more

We recently completed a move from San Jose to another county where we have to have our belongings in storage with Lunardi for a few months in-between. In all instances, the moving crew was conscientious, careful, polite, and helpful. Juan"s crew helped us at the final destination and additionally unloaded a pod we had also had delivered. I'd requested extra padding for our stair rails and corners and they had everything Well protected. I don't think they nicked or dinged anything. A week or so later when we just could not find our card table (aka temporary dining room table) anywhere and had asked if they could double check the storage unit they sent someone out to help us locate it amongst the unpacked items in the garage and sheds. I used their services recently for a local move (1-2 miles) for a 1 bedroom apartment. Overall packing/moving quality was decent but not worth the cost. Pros - Packing was very meticulous adding a lot of padding as needed for various items - Assembly/Disassembly of furniture was quick and efficient Cons - Item organization was lacking. The boxes and items inside the box were mixed up a lot eg. bedroom items in kitchen box - Cost was not effective. 4.5 hours for packing up a 1 bedroom was still OK as they were quite detailed but then they took another 4.5 hours for unloading (from truck to 10 feet away elevator to 20 feet away apartment) which is way too much and took the cost into overtime and left no time for unpacking. read more

They work very hard, find the best path between your door and the truck, treat everything carefully, and have done miracles moving a very comfortable but impractically long couch of ours through tight corners. Photo prove several violation ins or workman's comp ins. Provided proof after proof for 10 months. Now I'll file legal action. Beware: All of their advertising promises stress-free top-notch moving photos showing the truck perfectly packed to the roof, promises in good hands and seamless stress-free moving and all this misleading promises I feel bate and switched me- that was not and still is not my experience. He'd rather pay an attorney instead of fixing the damages I've showed video footage of his employees harassing & refusing to move everything. I hadn't share my experience publicly because I was hoping he'd be ethical and rectify the multitude of things and keep his word to pay for the frig they damaged (front, side and inside where it looks like they took a hammer) I'll share a pictures they had to have been purposefully because I provided frig dolly I would've got better service, proper care of my belongings having friends move us. They damaged many items, argued, refused to move all of my belongings which was included in the quote in person, then we provided updated photos, 2 videos uploaded to YouTube prior to them providing the final quote. They ended up dumping all of the things that belonged inside the house (boxes, mirrors, photos, shelves) but threw them in the new garage because they had to move a second load. 2 guys standing around while 1 guy unscrewed the bed, everything should have fit in that 26-ft truck but didn't load the truck tight so had to do a second load. Unbelievably left old home left big garage door, front door and screen propped open for anyone to enter, browse through valuables which were on the kitchen counter. How 3 grown men would they think this was okay to leave someone's house open I mean I almost had a heart attack when I called them to let them know we were heading back to hear they were already on their way to the new place and they left the home open I was shaking I couldn't understand I was in a panic trying to call friends to get someone to go to the old house and lock everything up animals could get ran over. It's already stressful moving how they'd be so negligent especially considering it's on a 4 lane busy street where anyone walking by could see in and take whatever they please I'll never know if anyone went in and took anything which I feel so violated. They were retaliatory, clearly if you take something out of a freezer and refrigerator the first thing you should do is put that stuff back in at the new place right? but no they didn't do that so I lost $500-$700 worth of food. They removed my groceries from the frig before they dismantled to move to new place then they left my groceries in the middle of the garage in between all of these boxes and never put things back in the frig or freezer I didn't realize until the next day or two when everything was defrosted and damaged I lost steaks shrimp scallops ice cream homemade spaghetti sauces from organic tomatoes. Lunardi refused to turn a claim into his insurance because he didn't have insurance and to this day 10 months and 2 days still no resolution and why I'm sharing my experience. I gave these guys 10 months and he's still making excuses I think he's trying to get past a one year statute of limitation. If only I could turn back the clocks. Looks like I'll be forced to file. read more

On the good side, the crew was very skilled at filling a truck efficiently for a cross-country move - like a huge game of tetris. On the down side, some boxes marked "fragile" were placed on the bottom, while some boxes marked "heavy" were placed up top! One leg of a piano was broken during transport. The truck rental company (which Lunardi said they had worked with previously) needed their ramp packed by the door, but the crew sealed it up with my stuff and roped it off. If you're using them for a non-local move, note that they will only use their own blankets, so you'll get to buy them (unless you want to pay hundreds to ship them back). It certainly could have gone worse, but it was in their power for it to have been better. read more

I recently used Lunardi Moving for a move and Juan and his crew showed up not only on time but was early which was fantastic. We showed them what needed to be moved and off they went, with a full hustle, all heads down and with purpose. They even helped to bring down our wall mounted TV, even though it wasn't going to be moved. A few large pieces of furniture needed to be partially disassembled so that it could be moved through doorways and Juan did an amazing job with this and with re-assembling those pieces at the new place. I was only having them move the large pieces, but since they were so quick, I asked them to pack a few breakables and take extra boxes. There was no charge for any materials, all included in their hourly wage. This was my first time using movers, I've always done it myself. Not sure I ever will again.
