The technician/owner complain that he did not expect that it had a lot of upholstery multiple times that he felt the job was underbid and that he wasn't given enough details beforehand. It honestly felt like because of that, he rushed through the work just to get it done as fast as possible. Many areas were missed, and the quality suffered. I really didn't want to write this review, I had high hopes for this company. I reached out to A-1 Spotless Carpet Cleaning via Yelp. Daren, the owner, responded with a quote very quickly. We both came to an agreement on a date and time. The first thing I told him was that I needed a receipt to provide my landlord with to show proof that the carpet was professionally cleaned. He agreed to this request. On the day of the job, Daren texted me that he was running late. No big deal. He showed up, did a great job with the carpet and went on his way. After the carpet cleaning, I reached out to him every day for nearly a week asking for the receipt. At some points, I believe he was just ignoring my messages. I asked my fiancé to call. He spoke with my fiancé and said he would get it to us as soon as possible. He did not. In my texts, I specifically told him I needed the receipt before my apartment inspection. He failed to provide it on time and I could not show the proof to my landlord, which was the whole reason I got the carpets cleaned in the first place. Like I said, I had really high hopes for this place. I was planning on sending some referrals their way, but the lack of professionalism left a really bad taste in my mouth. Darren was personable and willing to go above and beyond by cleaning areas that were dirty that he noticed even though those areas were not originally included in the ask. Most importantly, the carpet was so much cleaner afterward. I don't have a before picture.. there were so many dark spots, stains, dirt. I was even told that professional cleaning wouldn't work or previous tenants already attempted it and it didn't work. But wow!! Great service, I was able to schedule doe two days out. The owner is very responsive on Yelp. He arrived on time, but needed to wait about 30 mins until my building maintenance person was back from lunch in order to get access to the water line to start the job. He waited around, no issue, and handled all the communication with the building management during this time, which I really appreciate. The carpet was being cleaned after 10 years of living in the same apartment, and was very dirty/lots of spots. He got everything out and it looks incredible!
