I needed a to be cracked opened. The original locksmith I was suppose to go to decided to just close randomly that day. So after calling many places, A-1 said to come on in and that they can do it, He was able to crack it open within 15 mins. Great service and a life saver! I had an emergency and needed the lock to my house changed QUICKLY. It was a domestic violence situation and this afternoon he left the house and some how I found some kind of strength to grab the phone and call A-1. I didn't even know if I had money in my wallet before I started dialing . They answered immediately. I'm sure I sounded a little frantic, and when I asked how long it would be, the gentleman told me he'd be here in an hour, give or take. I know he heard me really start panicking then, and he asked if that was okay. I told him what was happening & that the man had just left the house and I didn't know when he'd be back. The gentleman from A-1 said, "I'll be right there. " and he was. He was in and out in less than 15 minutes and not only that, but the entire time he's frantically working as fast as possible, he was also consoling me. I now have new locks, what I'm hoping will be the start of a new life and for the first time in more than a year, I think I might actually be able to sleep tonight. The door handle lock on the door to my condo unit broke one Friday night, and we couldn't open the door from the inside or outside. Our only entrance or exit was the patio door. I called A-1 Suburban first thing the next morning, and the locksmith was at my home within the hour. The entire door handle needed replacement, and he did the job quickly and at a very reasonable price. I strongly recommend them! read more

Liars and crooked business people. Took Ron, the owner, almost a whole week to re key my home locks. He lost a piece to the top bolt and had to run home to get a new one but never returned that day, as promised. Our house door lock had an empty hole in it this entire time. Never heard back from him for 4 days until I called, to which he said he called several times and stopped by. No note left and no record of him calling me both on my caller IDs or even my cell phone records. Promised to come the next day but failed to make that appointment. Finally came 6 days later and charged me $120, full price. When we asked for some sort of discount, his response was "absolutely not". We could have bought an entirely new lock set at Home Depot or some other big box retailer for a fraction of the cost but we chose to support a local small business. What a mistake that was, in this instance. Consumer BEWARE of Ron and this business. They lie, deliver terrible service and deliver even worse costumer service. We called Square Credit Card Payment Services and logged a poor review with them, as well, and we will log poor reviews of them anywhere we can to protect others from falling victim to them, the way we did. Horrible service! Save yourself $200 and go anywhere else. We moved into a new house and needed to get the locks changed. A1 got the locks switched on 2 doors. Fast forward 3 and half months and the lock is stuck in place and we cannot open our front door as a result. We called A1 back because we thought any reasonable business would fix their mistakes and get the lock working as it should. His response: sorry it's not under warranty. A front door lock should last well past 3 and half months! A good business would stand by their product and their service. These guys are NOT A GOOD BUSINESS. Zero stars. Do yourself a favor and hire anybody else. read more
