I was presented with undersized springs that were very expensive and then presented with larger springs for 1.5x the price of the small springs. J&J came out and replaced the springs in about 15 minutes. Springs were larger, door was balanced, and it was all done for much less with a better warranty. We're fortunate to have companies like J&J still around.

They clearly explained why the opener failed and that spring and other elements needed tending to for it not to fail again. They were willing to fix those items on the spot as well, yet I knew I wanted to replace the door itself at some point, and they told me they can do that in a day! I took them up on the offer and they followed up with a quote and timeline. They came around the next morning, completed the work in the time stated, and did an utmost professional job, cleaning up well after it and taking the old door away. Tracy had promised that there would be no gaps around the new garage door. I had specifically requested that the door must NOT let in the damp or wind, as I use it all winter as a studio/workshop. Tracy promised that the new framing would make the door close flush and if not - weatherstripping would be installed. However after his workmen left, there is a long gap on one side of the door and the door has a loud pop/crack when raised or lowered. Also, Tracy did not tell me that he did not take credit cards and must be paid in cash PRIOR to our agreement. He also told me to write the check out to him instead of The Door Company. I was charged $3,441.00 and mailed a check made out to The Door Company for $3000. I told him that I would give him a check for the balance of $441.00 when the job was completed, as the weatherstripping was not done and there was a loud pop when door was opened or closed. He has responded to my emails with threats of legal action and sarcasm about the "supposed gaps" AND has refused to even come inspect the job. In his latest email, he wrote that he would not even discuss any complaints until I had paid the remaining $441 balance!!! Tracy has not and will not provide me with a list of Materials/Labor costs; Nor has he provided me with any warranties or guarantees. For those who are considering using this company, be warned.

He came on time and immediately began the swap. In took all but 2 hours and he even installed the extra rollers I had. Now my garage is whisper quiet, I even got a decibel reader app and it averaged 4db quieter. I am very happy with the results. Mario once again did an amazing job and for a very fair price. I originally called him for a clearance issue, but his thorough inspection caught a broken spring system that I hadn't noticed.
