I called Urgent at 11 yesterday morning and the locksmith (Ryan) was at my house an hour later. After his arrival, I decided to switch out the deadbolt & add keyless entry. Ryan suggested I go purchase the system of my choice & he would return the same day. I drove to a big box store & after texting him several of my choices (while still in the store) he confirmed what would work best. Also suggested I get deadbolts AFTER they completed services and I paid. Would have been great to know that before I paid for 10 locks to be rekeyed. Went to the Fox for what turned out to be a very expensive night. No idea how I lost my car key…read morefob. Called AAA and they had no locksmiths available. So much for a Plus membership! Then came the scare tactics. Without a key, towing the car could cause damage so they have to use a truck with "special tools." AAA only pays up to $100 of the tow anyway and their contracted locksmiths are shady. To Yelp I go! Yelp sent my request to a few companies. Three called. One said he could get me into the car but couldn't make a key. Another said he was too busy. Sonkey was the easy choice! Christopher was very nice on the phone which is important when you're stranded downtown at night. He gave me a fair price ($250). I know because I called around to compare. Another company charged more for "programming" the key fob. Chris also provided status updates. When it took longer than the 45 minutes he'd quoted he let me know how long it would be. No-one does that. When Chris arrived he put me at ease by telling me about himself. He's a producer, musician, song writer and makes worship music. Sometimes his son works with him. Hence "Son"key. Payment was easy. Use Zelle to avoid credit card fees. Most importantly he made me a key fob that was as good as my original. I've had some really raggedy replacement fobs so that's a blessing. He provided an invoice too. In short, I saved Sonkey in my phone in case I'm ever in need of a locksmith. Extra points for supporting a small, black owned business. 100% recommend!

Obviously we would never use this company again. Edit: response is just not true. We were told an in frame bracket would be a lot more and wouldn't be worth it as long as we were comfortable the bracket not being flush. The tech ended up hammering the door and not properly screwing in the hardware making any future work a lot more complicated. It was a new deadbolt install, the tech cut the door to prep the install, there would be no reason the purchased lock isn't compatible. The tech even made the mistake of cutting an incorrect hole which he said he would deliver a plug and never did. It's clear the finished work isn't properly done, the initial agreement on it being flush within the frame is something else. We tried to reach out many times via email and cell after since we felt a $50 refund did not resolve our issue and we wanted to work with you offline. You haven responded to any calls or emails in months but responded to this review in a matter of minutes ?
