Sarah is amazing. Very clean unit. Very responsive staff. The 10 x 20 fits so much stuff and being one story it's easier to get in and out of the complex and unload and load things from the unit. Dolly friendly. Best prices I found in Reno. Very secure and clean. I recommend getting storage unit insurance just in case. I got the unit with Sarah and check out today with Sarah and her customer service is amazing! She did a great job explaining everything when I got the unit. Helped me pick out locks for 20 bucks that were amazing and gave me a tour and walked me through using the gate. I highly recommend this place! read more

If I could pick 0 stars, on this one I would have. My family and I moved to Reno a few months ago and our place was smaller than we thought, so we had to get a storage unit. We shopped around and this place seemed to have the best deals at that time. My problem isn't with the prices, that's the only ok part about this place. The people that work there are horrible! The managers live on-site and will screw you over if given the chance. The district manager isn't helpful either! The manager and his wife sold my husband and I some items from a unit that had gone delinquent and said that these items worked. Well, the only one of the four items worked! My husband went back to get his money back and they told him to return the next day. He did, just to find out that they had gone on vacation! We waited til they got back and have problem after problem. We went to speak with them and got told that we were pretty much screwed and that now he wants to lock our unit! We're paid and up-to-date, yet he's still threatening! Due to the issues, we decided to take all of our things out of that place so we don't lose any of it due to the crazy people that run the place! So beware! If you wanna use this place go ahead, but the people that work there are very untrustworthy. Just wanted to write this review so no one is surprised when the managers go crazy on you! We had to put our entire house in storage while waiting for our home in Reno to close escrow. I cannot say enough good things about the 2 employees that helped my wife and I. Quinn and Levi were extremely helpful with driving the forklift to speed up our unload. Both were very friendly and we had some great conversations with both of them. If it was not for Quinn and Levi I still might be there unloading my junk. read more

I just wanted to share how appreciative I am at the integrity and customer service I received this week from A-American Self Storage. I lost an iPad over 1 year ago and thought I would never see it again. It was a gadget I really enjoyed and had saved up for so you can imagine how upset I was when it was lost. I have no idea how or why, but a year later, whoever had my ipad left it behind at this storage facility. My phone number was on it and they contacted me to let me know they had it and wanted to make sure I got it back. You know, lots of people would have kept it, junked it or just not bothered to call. The impression I got from this place is that they are a very honest business that cares about good service. I look forward to seeing my ipad in the mail this week. As soon as I find out the names I will do another review. The only reason they do not get 5 stars is because of 1 grouchy dude. The lady at the desk who likes Mickey Mouse is great. So is the dude who likes the Saints and the guy with the beard is pretty nice too.But the grouchy dude has got to go .He is good-looking but his conceited bad attitude makes him ugly. HE CUSSED AT US. "HEY WE ARE FUCKING CLOSING. GET HERE FUCKING EARLIER. NOT AT THE LAST Minute!" He yelled at the top of his lungs rudely. How dare He! We were out of the front gate at 5:59!!!!! I have gifts for everybody but him. Will find out the names and redo this review. By the way Grouchy dude. Just a few minutes before we got there we were called and met with a friend who had just lost her mucous plug and was going into labor so remembering that the unit I bought at auction had apt of ba y stuff in it and she had no money for a car seat to bring the baby home so I rushed over there and got some much needed things for her so she could bring the baby home. worst place in Reno got locked in at there sutro location no manager on site went to there valley location explained what happened and the lady at that location her demeanor was very poor than when i expressed that her demeanor was sub par she refused service and called the police on me wow.I personally have run several storage facilities and the professionalism at the valley location was just horrible. read more

Unfortunately I have nothing positive to say about this location. The owners and managers could care less if you are satisfied with your experience, and can get very rude if an issue arises. This location gets many people in, because of affordable move in rates. But once you are an established customer that ends really quick. -There are annual rent raises, but no work is ever done to the property (Which is very run down and broken to the point where it is unsafe). - The door to my unit has been off its tracks for almost a year, and we still haven't been able to get anyone to fix it. - When you move in, you are told that you will have access to your unit whenever you want, as long as you call ahead. DEFINITELY NOT THE CASE. - I tried explaining to the manager, Kenny that I needed access to my unit until 8 pm because of my work schedule. I was told that he could not do a thing and that I should move my stuff out if I didn't like it. - Overall this location has become a playground for the owners and managers to make as much money as possible with the least amount of work and care. Unfortunately because of all my issues that the company refuse to address, I will have to move my belongings out. DO NOT RENT HERE because it's cheap. IT WILL NOT STAY THAT WAY and Its in TERRIBLE condition. You will also receive the RUDEST and WORST customer service. read more
