We had a good experience renting a space for our trailer. The staff was helpful. We did not have many spots to choose from so we are far in the back of the lot. Every road is just a little tight for driving around turns so I sure hope we can get in and out okay as we should be traveling soon. The contract was pretty straight forward and the only thing that I think is a bit extreme is that they can confiscate your trailer and most everything in it if the monthly rent is not paid in 30 days. Normally, not a problem but your in a bit of a bind if you are heading to the hospital for surgery and end up in a coma. Not expecting that to happen to use but many people who travel with R.V's are older people. And anything can happen to your health at any time. I think the contract should list a spot for family members with their contact information if money is over-due. Most will pay if there is an emergency. Everyone was polite and respectful. The place looked clean. But they do accept old R.V's because we are park by several that are old and in need of repair. Thanks for helping us get our unit of the city street. read more

Five star shoutout for Emigrant Storage on longley! It's been years since we got this unit and in that time it seems like the property only got better. It's meticulously maintained, and you can see the team hard at work st all times go the day. Last year they installed new locks on all the units. It was annoying to schedule it, but it was a nice upgrade for sure. No one jostling the latch to open the door. Just a nice new latch. Price wise it has gone up over the years, which is to be expected. It's still in line with everything else around though. All in all, I like this storage facility. read more

Note: The check in for this place Was incredibly inefficient the lady who handled was a much older woman who I would imagine had some experience but nothing was done quickly or it seemed in order so we had to go back on a few things it felt like. For example even though I was supposed to thought certain forms I guess I couldn't fill them out unless other things were being done which is very frustrating when you have children in the car or hungry people or really anything. Over all the process seemed to take over an hour plus when I imagine this whole thing could have been about 15 minutes long. Price was good especially for what I found in the area and I did feel that my things were safe however the lady at the front had recommended I disconnect my battery and that in the past people have taken them however when I spoke to that tack to show me the spot he was a little surprised by that because that had not happened in a very long time and my car was only supposed to be there for less than a week. Overall if I'm in the area again I would consider this location more for the safety and cost versus the check in process. read more

If I could give it less than 1 star I would. Horrible Customer Service!! We took our immaculate newly painted 91' purple motor home in to rent a storage space from them and they refuse to rent storage to anything that is older than 20 years unless they sight approve it. The lady just looked out the window and saw that the roof was purple and said no we won't rent to you. She refused to even come out of her office to look at it the entire motor home. I just re-upholstered the entire inside to new and dropped over 1,000 on all new tires! It was in better shape than half of their RV's on site. Unbelievable! I wonder if they would refuse a newly painted purple classic car or refuse the winnebagos that are now coming out in all sorts of colors. I understand they may have run into people in the past who have purchased a $500 beater RV for just Burning Man and abandoned it. But that is NOT US! We Love our motor home and would never abandon it! I also know you make money on abandoning Rvs by taking them to auction, it's not like you have them for life! read more

A storage unit place isn't the most exciting business to write about, especially considering you usually only deal with their customer service when your either leasing a new space or vacating. That said however I've used various places around town and we come back to Emigrant. First off, the front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. They also have friendly staff to help with you with locating the unit and loading upper units. We have both a small storage unit and an RV space and have been extremely happy. read more

I've been with this company for almost a year and I had one payment get returned. Now they are forcing my mom to drive all the way from Dayton to pay cash even though she's used her debit 3 times with them before. Huge inconvenience and I won't be remaining with them anymore. read more

My experience with Susan was nothing short of outstanding. She was professional, courteous and most of all helpful and receptive to my needs. She worked with me in getting all of the necessary paperwork completed via email, well in advance of my arrival. In addition, when I did arrive, having more then one space available she had both shown to me so I could choose the one I wanted. If I had to choose an RV storage site again in this area I would return to Emigrant. read more

Ouch called up asking for availability for boat storage they said yes bring your boat down we measure them to make sure they fit we close at 5 and are here 7 days a week. Okay cool get all my stuff hooked up and head down there. Walk in at 4:40. Oh yeah sorry we don't measure after 4:30. Thinking in my head how long it takes to measure something shake my head and walk out. Guy in a golf cart parks next to me as I'm leaving. I ask hey you measure the boats. Yep sure do only takes a minute. Lol god for bid someone comes in and you have to do your job until closing time. Mind you this was on a Sunday and the place was a ghost town. Just an update on my original October 2014 review of Emigrant Storage. Still can't say enough positive things about Susan. She has a "can do" attitude toward her job and greets everyone with a smile. It would be nice if every business had a "Susan" to greet their customers. Now for the fellow that does the physical work out in the yard, that would be "Dave". Outstanding individual. Two real winners there for Emigrant Storage. I only regret that I see them both only once a month or less. It has ben 3 1/2 years almost since my 2014 review and I still have a very high regard for both of these individuals. read more

I rented a shed, and at one point two sheds from this place for ten years. Then the rent was late and they sold all my mother's worldly possessions. This was after 45 days. I know a manager of another local storage rental unit and she told me that they do not have a lien auction until 60 days had passed. I also was not sent a form to dispute the auction which is REQUIRED BY LAW! (Nevada revised statutes) After their auction I was never sent a letter stating what my mother's belongings were sold for and if they made a profit. Once again REQUIRED BY LAW, any monies the auction made above what they were owed for rent were supposed to go to me! ( Nevada revised statutes) Since they held this auction in August 2012, I think Bill Manke (company owner ) has had ample time to let me know what it sold for! Save yourself a lot of grief. There are a lot of honest storage rental unit owners in town. STAY AWAY FROM EMIGRANT STORAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Janice Robb read more
