The owner measured, and pinned all of my pants and got to the alterations quickly and did an excellent job. I had lost my previous alterations store so to a move out of state and was thrilled to find Northshore Alterations. They have dozens of different colors of thread to match your item perfectly and she was very pleasant to deal with and the alterations were done when expected. I've attached screenshots from the TWO identical dresses I bought to wear to my daughter's wedding. You accused me of wearing the one that you ruined. As I told you, it was ruined and unwearable. I bought another. You asked why I did not bring it back to you, and as I told you, my primary concern was making sure that you were able to finish my daughter's dress in time for the wedding. Spoiler, you not only did not finish her dress, you did not allow her to try it on, you threw her out the door, and charged her twice your original estimate. And that's not counting the horrible way you spoke to her and the things you said. I understand that the first dress I brought to you needed significant alterations. That's why I brought it and ASKED YOU if it was repairable. You told me that you could do that, and all about how you would get it done. You did not have me back for a final fitting, even though I offered to come up; you told Alex it was unnecessary. When I tried to put that dress on, the sleeves had been cut back short, which was never requested, they were different lengths, and the biggest issue by far was that the arm holes had been cut so small that I simply could not get my arms into the dress! She only accepts cash or check and this was not discussed via our text convo or when we discussed me picking up. So I had to leave and go get cash (which during Covid would appear to be more of a hassle than it ever should be) 3. Hard to find. The sign is in the front and the only entrance is around the back of the building on the bottom by the hair salon. I would've rather not have had to drive over, to see a sign with a different phone # and different hours of operations. But I do understand that not everyone is tech savvy & probably doesn't do much social media. Pros: 1. Quick response: I text the # listed on the door and got a prompt response for an apt the next day. 2. Appointments: She is doing appointments only due to Covid. I wore a mask, she wore a mask and no one else was inside during any of my visit. I had the lining of a dress for a wedding I'm attending hemmed. 3. Quick turnaround: My apt was on Tue., and I was able to pick up Fri. morning. I will say that almost $18 for the liner to be hemmed seemed a bit steep to me. I worked in prom & bridal for a long time & that typically ran $10-12. It was a very simple fabric as well. But I'm happy with the quick turnaround. She was there when she said.
