I'll tell you this right now: I've never felt more at ease with any auto repair staff in my life. These folks are honest. Perhaps not the most personable people on earth. They're not "Ha Ha" funny. They're more like "Here's a reasonable price on your vehicle's service done quickly" funny. See, it's funny because that's rare. They're nice folks, don't get me wrong, but it's easy to confuse "Nice" for "Skilled". These folks put skilled first, and nice second. That said, I saw them pick up a gal who's timing belt had absolutely fallen apart near their shop, took a long time to explain exactly what went wrong as a result and their quote for the repair (all while she was talking with her father on the phone running it all past him,) and then took her to her father's house in Eden Prairie with a promise to come get her when her car was ready. I went in to redeem this coupon last week and was promptly served. Got my oil change, the staff was friendly and helpful, and I drove away happy. Quality service, affordable prices, and friendly, honest staff - A&A reliably provides all of the above. My wife and I have been bringing both of our vehicles to this shop for over a year now. The service is always quick and done right the first time. The prices are good - even when a competitor has a better price, they will bend over backwards to match the price and keep your business. The employees really make A&A stand out. Everyone works hard to make sure the customer understands the work that needs to be performed. After recommending a fix, I asked for more information. Instead of just explaining the issue again (like most shops will do), I was taken back to see the part in question, and the work that was being recommended. Well, things started out just like the quality reviews here talk about. However, the experience just went downhill after that. We started coming here because of a Groupon. Everything resulting from that Groupon was great! Fast and efficient oil changes. Friendly customer service. It seemed as though we would have a new auto shop. On our last visit of the Groupon, they told us we needed some work done. As they had now gained my trust, I scheduled the work to be done. After scheduling $1500 worth of work to be done, we took our car in. They reneged on their initial claim, telling us there was actually a different $1500 of work to be done, not the first $1500. So, as we had planned the financing option (bad idea! I will talk about it soon) we went ahead with the new $1500 worth of work. Upon completion, the reneged their renege and told us we still needed the first $1500 worth of work (come to find out from another mechanic we really don't). We decided to end our relationship at this point. Although we had broken up, the financing was still being settled. Initially, the financing seemed like a dream! They would take out approximately $100 every two weeks until things were paid for. This part is true. However, once all is said and done, they took out an extra $200 (on top of the $1500) for hidden fees, etc. I know there are slimy business owners everywhere. I also know there are slimy mechanics everywhere. If you go here for an oil change, or something simple, you will probably be just fine. Can't Trust These Crooks. Cody told me a tire band that holds the air sensor in place within the tire was 100 to replace. Plus $30 to mount and balance which I paid them for them only for. Verified this with my brother, who is an ASE Master Mechanic, out of state said the band cost $15.00. Gas station down the street quoted $30.00 and told me the tire A&A just mounted was out of balance approx. 4.75 ounces. However, Cody did refund when I brought receipt from other tire shop. I'm from out-of-state & I'm buying a used SUV for my daughter in college. The SUV test drove fine and the dealer's checklist showed the items they inspected were fine, but I wanted a pre-purchase inspection. I called several AAA approved mechanics but couldn't get an appt (cuz it's just before Memorial Day). A&A said they would squeeze me in. They did a very thorough inspection and found several major safety concerns. They explained all the problems to me & gave me an estimate to fix the problems. I went back to the dealer with the paperwork from A&A. They disagreed that 1 issue was a safety issue but fixed it at a very good price, but they fixed everything else at no cost to me. There's not much that's more important to me than my daughter's safety. I am so grateful to A&A for finding time to do my inspection, and clearly explaining the safety issues so I could relay that info to the dealer and negotiate from a knowledgeable position. I was a customer of A & A for about 8 years. I would not trust my car with anyone else. I thought they were honest, fair, and a GREAT auto shop. Recently I took my car in for some minor work. While I was there they said that I should have my spark plugs replaced, since my car is about 9 years old & they've never been replaced. I had them replace the spark plugs. Shortly after that, I was having major problems with my car every time it rained. I took it back in & they said I needed new spark plug wires. Dropped $100 on those. Drove for another month & I was still having the same problem, only worse. This time they said I needed a new ignition coil. $400 dollars later I was STILL having the same issue. I took it to another shop that I was referred to, and they pulled out the "new" spark plug wires that looked to be about 9 years old. Here I thought I could trust this shop...and I was wrong. I wouldn't trust these guys. They lost a loyal customer & everyone I referred to them. Shame on them for thinking they can take advantage of someone. read more

The owner Albert is a crooked. Brought in my BMW for water pump repair and ended up charging $ 140 more on parts. Called BMW dealerships in town so he can simply charge me the same pricing. The sign outside of the door says "Match all pricing" because the lowest is all BS. He will adjust labor and part costs in order to charge you the most money. DO NOT GO HERE. I pulled in with a loud grinding noise and occasional clank coming from what I thought was the front of my truck. After $1200 and overnight, they sent me on my way. (2 new front bearings, all new motor mounts, new front axle CV joint) I pulled out and STILL heard the noise. I was planning to take it elsewhere, but lost my brakes on the expressway, pulled into a parking lot before my rear wheel FELL OFF. I waited 3 hours for a tow back to the shop. Oops, guess it was the REAR bearings that were making the noise (they replaced the front, then when they test drove it attributed the noise to the transmission) Another overnight, and another $1200 and I'm on the road. On my test drive with the mechanic, I mentioned the brakes felt funny (they had to replace rear brakes because the WHEEL FELL OFF and ruined the pads). He assured me things were fine. I was willing to write it all off as coincidence, and forgive them for not noticing my wheel was about to FALL OFF. After all, they did work hard to get it fixed. HOWEVER, the event that causes me to write this review is that a week later, I AGAIN loose my brakes, and hear loud noises from the rear. I called them and they referred me to the local goodyear dealer (I was passing through town, on my way north) Turns out when they replaced my rear brakes, they forgot to install the lower spring that held the pads together, and so the adjuster came loose, rattled around, brake pads came loose, breaking the brake line, fluid all over, no brakes. The $300 bill was covered by the warranty, but the half day of waiting and the feeling of losing my brakes while driving was not. Since it seems the lowest rating I can give them still gives them one star, I can say the positive side is their mistake was covered under warranty, they worked on my truck on a saturday, the mechanics on duty when I got towed in after my WHEEL FELL OFF were very friendly and they let me have a loaner car for the night. However, even watching Days of our Lives in the lobby can't make up for my experience. read more

My family and I have been taking our cars to A&A for years, and they've always been incredibly helpful and nice. However, after bringing one of our cars in for an oil change recently, I have to say that I would never bring my cars to them again. When we took it in for an oil change, my car (not new by anyone's standards) had the "check air suspension" light on. We knew it had a problem and were planning on getting that checked out in the next week, but it had been driving fine for the last two weeks with the light on and I hadn't noticed anything different about the way it drove (not that I was taking chances with it). I also want to mention that it was impossible to drive my car without seeing that light: within a minute of turning the car on, the light would come on -right above the speedometer-and ding at you like you had forgotten to buckle your seat belt. After we dropped the car off with A&A, a little while later, we got a call saying the car also needed an air filter. They never once mentioned anything about my air suspension light being on. When I asked them about it, they pretty much wrote it off as no big deal. When I came to pick my car up, the rear end of my car was practically dragging on the ground because the air suspension "air bags" had failed to re-inflate after being taken off of the lift. They knowingly turned off my air suspension system, after seeing that the light was on, without telling me that they were going to do so to put it on the lift. I understand that you need to do that to put a car with air suspension systems on a lift, but don't you think that if there was a problem with the air suspension system you would talk to the customer before doing something like that since you couldn't know how it would effect the vehicle? My car is no longer drivable and A&A failed to admit any wrong doing. Please, if you value your cars, particularly you no longer new cars, don't take them to A&A. read more

Hands down WORST service experience in my life! They messed up a simple oil change. I drove home, next morning go out to my car and there is at least 3 quarts of oil on my garage floor. Called the store, asked them to tow my car over b/c I didn't want to drive it with oil dumping out of it. They asked how far I live, (about 15 minutes). "nope we cannot do that." Late for work had to get friend to drive me to work. After work, got home at 7:30PM. Told them I am heading over now, but you close at 8:00. "can you stay open a little bit late to get this fixed?" "sure we can stay 15 minutes to help you out." Drive over with the smell of burning oil the whole way. Roads closed everywhere, pulled into parking lot literally at 8:05. Doors locked, not a single car in the parking lot. I left my car in front of a bay without the keys, because I did not want them to touch it until they called me, and I wanted to be there in person. I also left a not explaining the situation. Had to get a friend drive me home. The manager calls me early in the morning, they open an hour after I was supposed to start work, so I am already late for work because I have no car. I explain situation, he tells me I am lying, "nobody would say they would stay open for an extra 15 minutes to help you. We are out the door the minute we close." I say "fine whatever, just come pick me up so I can watch you do the repairs." He says "you are wrong there is no oil leaking." I tell him to go look under the car... "OK ya there is a lot of oil leaking, but we can't come pick you up, my guys have better stuff to do." I get angry at this point, tell him "you guys messed this up, I had to drive over with oil dumping out the whole way (it is still visible all the way down the street out of my neighborhood)." He tells me "I don't care we are going to tow your car and you will pay for it if you don't get down here in the next hour." At this point I am really angry, I tell him if you "tow my car I am not paying for it, and I will contact the BBB immediately." So now I am forced to have my boss drive 30 minutes to my house to pick me up and bring me to shop, because he wants me to get to work. Surprise surprse, the manager calls me 30 minutes later and says "oh we had some guys push your car into the shop, and we have got it figured out, come on down it is ready." My boss and I get down there, same manager comes to talk to me, no apology for messing up oil change, no 'sorry' for the hassle of getting rides everywhere and missing work. He then proceeds to tell me with the biggest grin on his face ever "you have a problem with your oil sender unit, its going to cost $180 to repair (or something like that.)" Further says "I can tell because if the sender unit fails it will cause a slow leak. I am looking at the car with him and say "slow leak?! the whole undercarriage of my car is covered in oil, and it is all over my driveway." I tell him I am going to get a second opinion, he tells me to give me the keys and he will get the car out of the shop. I am literally walked 50 feet to my boss' car and the manager yells out "oh hey we figured it out, there was a bad O-Ring on the oil filter we put in." We will get it fixed in a few minutes. So not only did they mess up the oil change, couldn't stay open for 15 minutes late, couldn't pick me up in the morning, but he had the nerve to try and sell me something else that he knew was not needed!! I then argued with the guy that I need some sort of compensation for this. I asked for a free future oil change, and some minor compensation to clean off all the oil in my garage and driveway. (Seemed pretty reasonable to me.) He then started getting very insulting, telling me "Well you should have just done this yourself and then you wouldn't be in this situation." We argue about this, he continues to tell me I know nothing about cars. I ask him "well you warranty your service I need some sort of compensation?" He literally said "we don't warranty our parts, call China they make that crap." --No lie 100% serious. I asked him to tell me name of the manager, he says "I am the manager." So I ask what is the name of the owner, he says "I can't tell you that." Long story short we argue for a long time. I get my car back and it works fine. I call the BBB to get the name of the business owner. I called store back and asked for Owner by name, happened to get him on the phone. I explained him all that happened and he seemed apalled at the behavior of his manager, especially the line about "we don't warranty our parts, call China." He told me he would talk to the manager about this. Offered me a free oil change and a jug of cleaner that removes oil stains. I was so furious over this I just never went back. I even had a groupon with a couple of oil changes and other services on there, I just threw it away. Not worth setting foot in this store. read more

Hands down one of the best place I've been to in a very long time. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Offered me coffee and showed me where to sit while waiting and even had a short conversation with me even though they were busy. The whole reason I came in the first place was because we got a coupon in the mail but they secured a lifelong customer without question. They didn't over charge me they didn't try to scam me and they even told me how to do some basic maintenance on the car if I wanted to fix things myself. They do everything but paint apparently so if you need any work done on your car I'd highly recommend going to them. Grade A service. Seriously I'm very impressed and hard to please. read more

This has to be one of the best automotive repair shops that I have ever been to. Here you are not treated just like a ordinary customer or a number, you are actually treated like you are family. All the staff is friendly and nice, and very knowledgeable. They let you know what went wrong with your vehicle, and if you are not sure about what they are talking about they have a great way of explaining it to you so that you do understand it. They say on their webiste "A&A Autoservices does it right the first time" which i do believe. I had my car serviced 2 or 3 times by the dealership for the same problem, which never got fixed. When I brought it into A&A, they had it fixed within a few hours, and let me know exactly what the problem was. I have not had a problem since then. read more

I would never recommend ANYONE go to this shop, they are scammers and liars. Last April they installed a power steering belt in my car, 6 months later it somehow flipped over causing the power steering to go out WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I got it repaired elsewhere and when I asked a&a to reimburse me for the faulty belt and work they wrote me off. I went into the shop twice and called three times. Each time they told me I would be contacted by a specific date and never was. The second time I went in about this issue, the manager was rude to me. (In front of other customers!!) It's been over a month and it seems they are just hoping I will forget about it. They never offered to reimburse me or offer me any services of any kind for this dangerous inconvenience. But every time I bring my car in they find something wrong with it. I've brought it to other shops whom then said there wasn't an issue. Stay away. And do NOT buy their door to door oil change cards. These guys are modern day snake oil salesmen. They get you in the door for one thing then find all kinds of other things. Your $8.95 oil change will cost you more than that when done with added fees. My 'free' flush and fill cost $93. The owner told me I should be a more informed consumer and 'buyer beware' of HIS advertising card! The card has fine print saying saying the antifreeze is not included and would cost $14 per gal. Then they added 'chemicals' and said that was required here--but not noted on card. They mis-diagnosed a bad bearing (I was suspicious and had a different mech check it) and wanted to charge me almost $600 to repair it. Avoid this place and go to Lehman's. read more

THEY GOT ME! Been coming in for oil changes due to a discount card I purchased. I have had a couple of repairs done after their recommendations but this time I came to them with a problems and they claim to fix it ($200) and then the problem was not gone so they game me a new diagnosis that would cost me more ($700+) with no remorse, accountability, or discount for misdiagnosing the first repair. Bottom line is #TRUSTLOST. I will find someone else to fix my car and for my business. I love and prefer main street businesses and love to patronize them but I need the reciprocal respect. They are terrible. When I showed up they could fit me in but when they saw the Groupon I was told I needed an appointment. I came back two days later and they took almost 2 hours to change my oil. They tried to sell me lots of extra "repair" services. I went to another dealer and confirmed that they repairs were unwarranted. In my opinion they are completely untrustwothty. I will not be using the other 9 oil changes since they are so sleazy and not very good. I overheard 3 customers come in and complain about things like the oil plug was improperly installed, the check engine light came back on within a day of leaving there, etc. The is only a good deal if you don't mind paying $60 for a single oil change. This place wants to get you in the door and then try to sell you thousands of dollars of unwanted/unneeded repairs. I witnessed them convincing an elderly man that he needed $5000 of repairs on his 10 year old Taurus. He came in to get his Freon recharged. STAY AWAY. You have been warned read more
