I've been to several different tire locations around the twin cities and a few out of states. I've been buying tires from Discount Tire for over 20 years, I've had great service at every location EXCEPT this location. I only went here because the Apple Valley location didn't have any appointments for a few days. All I got was a tire rotation.... They used a high impact wrench on my tires and tighten way beyond what is recommended. After a driving for 5 days, my rotors were warped. My partner called them and of course they denied anything happened. They said to bring the car in and they would have a look and that's all they could do. What's the point of bringing my car in just to look and tell me it's not their fault (which they already told me over the phone). Plus they'd most likely tell me I needed more stuff for my car which I didn't. The guy that looked at my tires said I had half my tread left which I don't because I just got new tires last year and only commute to work daily. Making the decision to come here was a very costly mistake. Replacing all 4 rotors was so expensive, I was not ready to pay for their mistakes. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this location. Please drive the extra miles to go to the Shakopee or Apple Valley locations. It is not worth risking warped rotors!! Side note: if you look at their other 1 star reviews, I'm not the only person that this has happened to, others have had issues with lug nut tightening problems at this location. Parking is a bit of a hassle due to the location sharing it with other popular businesses. My meal was fresh and hot, ingredients weren't old. I recently stopped into this location in my wife's car with a slow leak in one tire. I waited 25-35 minutes and was given a full inspection on all 4 tires. They found a small nail in the tire in question, and patched it free of charge. I didn't even buy the tire from them, they were the original tires that came with the car when my wife bought it off the lot. I was blown away by the courtesy, professionalism, and authenticity of the staff. You just don't get service like this anywhere anymore. Recommended 110/100. OUTSTANDING. These guys are amazing. ONLY place I will buy my tires, period. They do everything right, in a timely fashion, very polite and the cost is reasonable. I had some concerns about one of my cars and how to lift it or jack it up. They took time to listen to my concern, said they understood and then showed me how they had it off the ground. It was text book. The rims on this car can be tricky, no problem for these pros. I have probably bought over a dozen sets of tires from them over the last few years, and every single transaction has been perfect. Follow up care is AMAZING as well. I have used Discount Tire in Burnsville previously. They have always been (and were on my current trip) upstanding and honest - plain talk with nothing "hidden", adding unknown fees, etc. I had looked up the info on the interwebs, then came in to the store to make my appointment. I might have online access, but don't really care. I enjoy talking to staff there (Craig helped me this time; I did not get the name of the technician who did the tire work). If online is faster than in person, color me impressed. They work very efficiently yet act in a personal manner. I have a personal contact at another Discount Tire. My husband travels to MN several times a month but we are from Port Washington, WI. He ended up with a flat tire and stopped at Tires Unlimited nearby. They wanted to up sell my husband into getting a new tire and were too busy to get him in today. They suggested trying Discount Tire in Burnsville. My husband was there before it opened and by the time it opened there were several people waiting for help as well. Discount Tire made sure to help my husband right away since he was there first. They were fast and helpful and did a terrific and thorough job patching the tire free of charge!?!?! We have never used this business before but will be sure to do so as we have two cars in need of regular service. Because of Discount Tire Store's generosity and excellent customer service my husband was able to make it to the rest of his meetings today and will be able to drive home safely back to WI. It's nice to know that when someone needs help there are still good people willing to help instead of taking advantage of the situation. I can't thank Discount Tire enough for the service I received today.  I had a tire with a slow leak and came to the Burnsville location. Not only did Morgan and his team diagnose my issue (impaled screw in the tire), they recommended I double check with Lexus of Maplewood where I got my new tires about 15,000 miles ago just to make sure that my tires weren't already covered.  Sure enough, the tire was covered.  The Discount Tire associate then put the spare tire on, and didn't even charge for the labor or visit.  I would recommend Discount Tire highly to anyone I know, and next time I have a need, I will most certainly come to Discount Tire. read more

Been doing business with this location for many years. All of my family members cars have had their tires changed here and their customer service does make a difference. They price match as best they can with direct competitors coupons and promos and they also take care of you even after you get your tires replaced with them. I have at least driven over 3 nails/screws in the past few years and they have repaired my tires at no cost to me each time. I went in to see if my tire needed a patch as it was low, and they found out a small nail was in there but even worse my tire was starting to split into two. The technician (Mike, so fantastic) educated me on what options I had and shared his computer screen on costs of replacement tires without trying to get me to pay for the most expensive option. He was really friendly and conversational altogether. They just felt like real people having real conversations with you. After I ended up buying four new tires, I knew the decision was because of what I wanted and not what they pushed me to do. From the moment they opened the store door to welcome me in, to the final hand shake and goodbye, I was astounded at the level of customer service they brought. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. I hardly ever post comments on service but i signed up just to post this. My son got 2 flat front tires on his way to work and we had the car towed to discount tire figuring we may have to replace one or both tires. I mean the odds of both front tires going flat made me assume it was from something he ran over because the tires are only like 2 years old. They bring the car into the garage and in like 20 min drive it back out to the lot. They removed the tires from the rims sanded the tire beads and the inside edge of the rims in question, refilled the tires, and replaced the stems, and then gave us the keys back. AT NO CHARGE AT ALL:!! What! I was blown away! I even asked the guy "seriously?, no charge at all?" Even if i move out of state i will probably drive here for any tire work. Amazing service, I went to 2 other places prior this one because of a nail in one of my tires, the first place tried to sell me a new tire instead of patching it, luckily they didn't have the size in stock... The second place couldn't do anything until later that evening, so I finally and thankfully ended up at discount tire, they were able to fix my tire without the need of a new one, the service was fast for a walk in, they were extremely nice and professional, the waiting area was very clean and comfortable... I used to go to Tires Plus.... Then I realized that getting constantly screwed over and nickle and dimed isn't as awesome as it sounds. I can't speak to Discount Tire as an entire company, just this one. It's the only one I've been to because once you find a place that performs a service well, why bother. Fast, friendly and up front pricing. Oh and the warranty you can buy on tires, even if you didn't by the tires there, for around 80 bucks is a steal.
