I probably would have broken something like a finger or my wrist. We came in early to purchase some items for the Laguna Lathe that I thought I needed and in doing so we met Nancy who very graciously took us in and started early. We were the only members in attendance so it felt like a private lesson session. Nancy went over all the safety items and explained what each part of the lathe is called and what it does. Nancy talked to us as a peer and not as a lowly beginner, which was very helpful and really made the session enjoyable. I was very nervous at first but Nancy gave us encouragement and pointed out what we were doing correctly and gently explained what could be improved. We wound up making mallets instead off the ball that was pictured in the class description. That was a welcome surprise. Overall we learned a great deal and now have the confidence to continue making turned objects. My next project will be something not sure yet. But I know it will 'TURN" out great thanks to Nancy's help and training.

They called us in the morning to confirm when we were arriving. We spent over 8000 on a new trailer, bought 22 sheets of plywood and made the 4 HOUR round trip to pick up the shelters. They didn't even have one ready and no one within a 4 hour radius has them. Our baby donkeys are going to freeze for another week in this rain because of these jackholes! I specifically ordered 1/3 cobble rock based on what I saw there. However, when the truck delivered the material and dumped it in my driveway, I realized the rocks were much smaller and did not match what I had originally selected at the shop. Unfortunately, I didn't check the load in the truck before it was dumped. At that point, I had no real option to refuse the delivery since the rocks were already blocking both my driveway and part of the road. I was forced to move forward and use the material in my landscaping. This experience felt very misleading, and I'm disappointed with the lack of consistency and transparency.
