Luckily I spoke to a really nice representative they sent out Adam to see if they can repair our broken gate. I needed one fence post repaired. It is very difficult trying to find someone to come out for such a small job. I tried several companies with no luck. I then happened upon this company when I was doing my search. When Adom returned my call he said he had a minimum to come out. I said that I could not afford his minimum for just one fence post, but said he would work with me. He gives senior citizen discounts and free estimates. I told him to come take a look. Gave me a very reasonable estimate and he repaired the post. He even nailed several loose boards for free. I appreciated the fact that he did not charge me his minimum. Great work and good guy. Filled out the form on their website over a week ago and no response. Called and left a VM but again after a week, no response. Not sure why anyone would have a website for advertising and then not call or respond to inquiries about work? Before you waste any time with this company, read all the reviews and see the common thread, completely unprofessional when it comes to communication and actually showing up etc. It's very frustrating to waste your time as many have said. Adam called back right away after getting my very first call and explained everything he could offer after carefully listening to what I needed. As a landlord I did not have to take care of any logistics because Adam called himself and made friends with my tenant. He did a good job, sent me all the pictures of before and after status, and gave me a little discount after finding out my neighbor was not the most friendly one. My tenant's fence looks much nicer now and I am sleeping well knowing there are no more gaps in the fence or privacy issues for my tenant. read more

Wish I could give a better review but after what I believed to be successful preliminary telephone conversation that ended with a plan to meet at the home the next day @1 turned out to be a complete waste of my time. We spent a very long time over the phone going over my needs. He seemed very interested and attentive, made suggestions, and was confident that we could work together to get my issue resolved. I sent photos and believed we were on track. Then things went south. After following up more than once and not hearing back, I still took the time off work and drove the 1+ hr to the job site in hopes that he would be there for our appointment. Very disappointed in "FIX A FENCE" and very unprofessional "FIX A FENCE". One of the Owners Contractor had come out to the house on February 25 2017 to give us an estimate to replace approx. 81 Ft of old wood fence. The Job was given to them. We were told because of all the rain and repairs ahead of them they wouldn't be able to start working on the fence until May. We said no problem. Now were at the end of May 31 2017 and nothing. We left the contractor 3 messages and he never returned our phone call. At least have the courtesy to return ones call. Not good. I would not recommend them at all. Just recently needed to have a company come out and help us repair a couple gaps in our fence. It's been really annoying our dogs been getting into our neighbors yard. The contractor that came to my house was on time very professional guy his name is Adam. He also walk me through all the repairs that were done gave me a really good price. Adam has a solution for rotted out fence posts: He uses ionized steel, painted fence supports (cemented in) as a support for rotted out fence posts. I have a rental house that i knew had two broken posts,,(turned out to be four) so the fence was leaning to the right and left its entire length. had one estimate of $680 to replace the original two posts so i went searching on here for fence repairs and found adam at fix a fence. i am really, really glad i did. i contacted him by phone and made an appointment. he confirmed the appointment via text the evening before, but as it happened, that morning he was running a bit late. HOWEVER, he called and let me know that he was going to be late and was right on time at the adjusted hour. once there, he found the other two broken posts, noticed several kick runners/retaining boards that needed replacing, and also areas that needed to be secured/sealed to prevent the neighbor's small dogs from coming thru the fence. we agreed upon a price, and he started the job right then. he doesnt replace the old posts but he screws metal plates into them and sinks those metal plates into a new hole filled with concrete. bottom line,,,all the above mentioned work done, fence line is once again super straight and very strong and sturdy. oh, and he also adjusted the gate so it wouldnt drag on the walkway,,,and all this for well under the original estimate i got on just the two posts. not sure what his rate is for a total rebuild, but for fence repairs, he has definitely got my future business. if you do call him, make sure to call either the 916-305-4592 or 916-798-3863 numbers as there are a couple of very similar sounding business names out there that arent him. and the voice mail box can fill up, but he tries to clear them daily. thank you again, adam! read more

I scheduled an appointment and got a quote over the phone with Adam. They no showed. When I called he said he couldn't find my information and had been trying to contact me. He again took my information and promised they would be there the next day by 8 am, if not earlier. Again they no showed. If they were too busy to come out this week, they should have been honest and just said so! Updated 4/20: They came out today and fixed my fence, and said there was no charge. But I will pay half to be fair. They did a good job on my gate and fence post. read more

Very disappointed. Called 9 different places to get quotes Saturday April 29. Left them a message. Among fix a fence I also called Riverside Home Improvement (who was the only person who answered the phone on Saturday) and spoke with the owner named Dave, he came in at $450 to fix 3 fence posts. I got a call back the next day from the receptionist that was being trained at fix a fence. Said they would do it for about $300-$350. (Can't remember exact figure but I just know it was cheaper than Riverside). So I booked an appointment with them, spoke with the owner, who lost his voice or wasn't feeling well, and booked an appointment for Saturday at 8a May 6 (they booked the day and time; not me). Gave them my address. And wait for it........ NO SHOWED. NO CALL. In fact, phone is COMPLETELY turned off. Left them a message at 8:40a. Still nothing. I told my elderly neighbor to make sure she was up that early and home to ensure she could talk to the fence guy! What a waste! I do not recommend them. A man is only as good as his word; and clearly from a no call no show tells you exactly how he operates. read more

This guy flaked on 3 different appointments he made with me this week. When I nicely confronted him about this he told me to go find someone else and made it sound like I was in no way a priority for him even though he's the one that set the appointments. This is someone my landlord referred to me and he was incredibly rude, not to mention VERY flaky. I would NEVER, EVER use this guy. If you want reliable don't use this company.
