They gave me a quote a few hours later and we worked together to ensure I could locate a slab to match my existing one. I was able to find it all the way in Livermore, and they agreed to go out there to pick it up for me (I paid them gas money in return, since it was a long journey). After they picked up the slab, they came to my house a few days later and installed everything within a few hours. They did proper prep and clean up, and I was blown away with the results. Demo and level old flooring and install new flooring in all the rooms. The kitchen and dining room floor was not leveled with the rest of the house, so James and his crew had to tear out the old floors and install plywood before installing the new floors to ensure that the new floors are leveled. We are completely satisfied with our new beautiful floors. 2. Install baseboard and chair rail. *Finishing is an art.* James has incredible attention to detail. He ensured that each baseboard fit perfectly, even the baseboards that hugged the kitchen cabinets, fit underneath the dishwasher and the spaces between the wall and door trim. He ensured that we were happy with the end results. 3. Brick up the old fireplace. James is a mason and his experience in this department showed. Transformed old fireplace into a plain wall. 4. Tile new fireplace. We chose big slabs that had to be mitered. James, through his connections, was able to save us money on the tile that we selected. Completely happy with our new fireplace. 5. He had a good number of remnants, everything from marble to quartz to porcelain and more. Pricing was competitive with other quotes we received. He was flexible when scheduling a time to go by his shop to pick a remnant. He was able to squeeze in our job, came by our house to measure just a few days later (even adjusting the cabinet base slightly to make it more square to the wall), then two days later came to install the piece.
