I've never gone to a shoe cobbler before because I've been fairly poor most of my life, but now…read morethat I'm finally making money, I've started to purchase more expensive shoes. But I'm the type of person who gets really attached to things, probably because I just didn't have enough growing up, so when my shoes started to wear down, I despaired. I looked up best shoe cobblers in Queens and found this place on Yelp, so with a great deal of anxiety mustered the courage to go. And wow, am I completely blown away. Arthur was transparent from the beginning, even going so far as to tell me that the work might be more expensive than the shoes themselves (two pairs of boots and two pairs of sandals; I wore the heck out of them for three years), and that it would be okay if I needed time to think about it. That alone made me trust him. I arrived a week later and the shoes were restored to their former glory, beautifully resoled and all the stains in the leather taken out. I couldn't believe it. I will definitely come back!

Incredible quality service. In about a week and a half, the boots I have worn for the past 4 years…read morewere restored to brand new. For the repair of an Everlane pair of leather boots I purchased in 2021, it was $60 for the replacement of the heel and the replacement of the sole (it was so torn up) with a waterproof new sole. I was expecting the sole to look better but not perfect, and for the waterproof sole to look rubbery or more bulky, which I was totally okay with. Instead, the shoes came back looking STUNNING. Not only did the entire shoe look brand new (he shined and cleaned them for me, even though that was not technically included in what I paid for), but the soles were so fancy! The waterproof sole was so well done, it fit in with the look of the shoe so well, and they have been working perfectly (sturdy and in fact, waterproof). I also brought with me a pair of knee high boots that I thrifted-- the soles were entirely ripped off and the bottom of the shoes looked like an absolute mess. He replaced the soles and they looked perfect and I've been wearing them non-stop! Overall, I am really pleased with service, and the shop owner was really friendly and helpful as well. I will be back with future shoe needs.

I HAD TO CALL THE COPS ON THIS LADY!!!!! BEWARE ... Giving…read morethis place even one star pains me as it is far too generous for the type of person the owner is. Walk with me here. This may be lengthy but if I can save just one person from going here then I have done my job. So my gripe with this lady actually began nearly 1 month ago when I went to drop off my black leather boots. She told me she'd do a perfect amazing job and charged me $70 which I thought was overpriced AF but I was willing to make the investment as my boots are genuine leather etc. She told me it will take a week. COOL that's fine. A week goes by and its radio silent. 2 weeks go by. Still quiet. Then I make the mistake of reading the reviews where it said she doesn't answer the phone. I call this place no joke 45 times, not one answer. So now I have to take time out of my day to pass by TO SEE if theyre ready. So I go and OFC they're not ready. I demand my shoes back because now she has pissed me off. However, she is kinda apologetic and she promises it will be ready by Sunday and if not Sunday DEFF by Monday. I tell her I get out of work late and by the time I get to her it will be around 6:30 PM Monday. She says I'm here til 11 PM every day no problem! She takes down my number. Sunday rolls around and OFC she does not keep her word. No call. Monday comes around , nothing. So I drive by on monday and the establishment is CLOSED! CUTE! Tuesday no word. I now have to take time out of my day to physically pass by and see if they are ready as if I don't have a job and other responsibilities. Now Wednesday is when s*** hits the fan. I pass by wednesday and she says to me "black boots right?" Great, it seems as if she knows what she's talking about and I anticipate everything going smoothly. She proceeds to hand me a plastic bag with a size 8.5 black boot that are very obviously not mine and the brand is ZARA. (I am a size 7 and no shade why would I bring ZARA boots to the shoe repair?). I kindly tell her that these are not my shoes. Bc theyre very obviously not. Instead of saying let me look into this or having any sort of normal reaction she begins SCREAMING at me. Like actually raising her voice, fingers in my face saying things along the lines of these are the only black boots i have in the store, these are YOUR shoes, this is not my problem, you are a liar etc. I tell her to lower her voice and request that we speak like adults. I soon find out she is incapable of this request. I tell her I am not paying for shoes that are not mine and this really sets her off. She then tries to tell me that I am a thief, cheap, this was my master plan all along, tries to make it about her having an accent (?) and that God is always watching and to give the money I'm stealing from her to a homeless man (??) and tells me to take my shoes and leave. After screaming at each other back and forth for nearly 10 mins while customers are onlooking, She is successful in gaslighting me bc I actually leave with the shoes. However, I quickly turn around and return to the store because these are simply not my shoes. This time, I try a new approach because at the end of the day I just want my shoes. I say look I am not trying to fight but where are my shoes? These shoes are 2 sizes too big and I just don't have any use for them? Since she has no emotional regulation , she begins screaming at me again saying that this is NOT her problem and demands that I leave. At this point I am so beyond annoyed and frustrated. I call my dad bc I simply never been in a situation like this before and he can hear her screaming at me through the phone and is even like WTF. So I said MISS THIS IS YOUR PROBLEM. And called the police which I truthfully really did not want to do but I had no choice. I began describing her features to the operator on the line.and they said police will be dispatched. She then collects her sharp items (?) a goes to get a coffee (?????) Odd. She returns though, and I have now been waiting outside her store for 20 mins waiting for police arrival.Mind you I have somewhere to be in an hour. As I am waiting, she VERY politely invites me inside. I knew something was fishy. She then says she "does not want to argue with me" and she "wants to talk like adults"- the very same line I used on her 45 mins ago! She hands me a pen and paper and asks me to describe my boots in great detail (?). While I am doing her assignment because again I just want my shoes, she opens a curtain to reveal MY SHOES. I was so gobsmacked at this point not only at the fact that I was right all along, but the fact that her energy had a complete 180 after she realized she messed up bad and making matters worse, she tried to Kii with me after , saying things like "you want to know whats funny" and 'please forgive me" etc. AND NOT ONE APOLOGY TO TOP IT OFF. ACCOUNTABILITY FEARS HER! I said miss do not speak to me. After she showed me my shoes, I scolded her with finger pointing for 5 mins in a s
