However, Steve's towing had my car for a week a half. The hours they posted were wrong and were closed on many days they said they would be open. The after hours number they had left was disconnected. Finally, the day before I was supposed to go home they weren't open despite it being noon on a Monday. We finally got a hold of them and met up the next day. They ultimately charged us for every single day the car was there - 800 DOLLARS. Despite having come to the shop 5 times and showing them our attempts to make contact with them, the owner hung up on the phone and insisted on $800 cash. It's bad business and they're making money by not coming to work.

I tried using Yelp to help find a shop that had high ratings & mostly positive reviews. I had a shop (Walter @ Mac's Automotive) convince me that replacing my rear end assembly instead of rebuilding the differential would be more cost-effective due to labor & parts. Initially quoted me $2300 ($1700 for the rear end) + $500 for 2 sensors that had to be replaced (told me that I had to do all 4). Ended up having Scott tow my truck from that shop to his & I told him what The prior shop had told me. To my surprise, Scott came back that same day quoting me $1300 for the rebuild. Then he mentioned the sensors & expressed their importance but I didn't have to do all 4. All said & done........$1655 out the door! Thank God For Perfection Drivetrain!

The owner answered at this time and stated it could be a sensor connected to the battery terminal going out that would cause the fault code. He said to take it to O' Reilys auto parts Weiser Idaho store and have them plug in to the fault code reader. We did and found out we could make it another 2 hours home. The owner of Weiser towing steered us into the right direction without taking advantage of us. He stated he would rather look us into the eyes than his shoes... He could have taken advantage of our situation and put in an alternator and a new sensor plus tow charges . We are pretty broke and have plenty of credit cards to already pay off. Thanks so much. They tried to take advantage of our situation with inflated prices and were rude and disrespectful, even saying that they wouldn't come get us because they "didn't want to." Our car was stuck not even a mile away from their establishment, yet they still were unwilling to help us. I do not recommend going to this place for help ever.
