However, Steve's towing had my car for a week a half. The hours they posted were wrong and were closed on many days they said they would be open. The after hours number they had left was disconnected. Finally, the day before I was supposed to go home they weren't open despite it being noon on a Monday. We finally got a hold of them and met up the next day. They ultimately charged us for every single day the car was there - 800 DOLLARS. Despite having come to the shop 5 times and showing them our attempts to make contact with them, the owner hung up on the phone and insisted on $800 cash. It's bad business and they're making money by not coming to work.

New engine needed... Because of the cost of a new engine vs. towing back to Boise, we opted for the new engine. Dennis ordered it and installed it. We told him we weren't in any hurry to get the car back because we were going to pay cash for the replacement and he was fine with that. So, it took a while to get the car, but that is what we wanted. Dennis was very easy to work with and we were glad to find this local resource so far from home. Adds a sense of security knowing we (more importantly our daughter) can drive into New Meadows and have a good mechanic available if needed.

The owner answered at this time and stated it could be a sensor connected to the battery terminal going out that would cause the fault code. He said to take it to O' Reilys auto parts Weiser Idaho store and have them plug in to the fault code reader. We did and found out we could make it another 2 hours home. The owner of Weiser towing steered us into the right direction without taking advantage of us. He stated he would rather look us into the eyes than his shoes... He could have taken advantage of our situation and put in an alternator and a new sensor plus tow charges . We are pretty broke and have plenty of credit cards to already pay off. Thanks so much.
