They did not disappoint. I usually go to the dealer, but they ripped me off a ton of money last year. Anyway, the mechanic, Chuck, did a thorough diagnostic test, checked all that could be wrong, test drove my car, and found nothing wrong. I was told it was most likely my driving habits causing the engine light to illuminate. I checked out with Lauren, who was very nice. She explained the findings in detail. She said to bring the car back if the light comes on again. To make the visit even more special, Lauren told me there would be "no charge". Holy Lucky Day, Batman. I was ecstatic. I admit, I cried when I drove away. I'm not usually that fortunate. Veteran's is a treasure. They were honest, fair and professional. The gal at the entrance of the car was was very helpful and pleasant. No issues. When paying & going through the gate, before entering the car wash, I received an important phone call. I pulled over & temporarily parked behind two other parked cars. There were no other cars behind me. Suddenly, there is POUNDING on my windows, not knocking, and this dude with bad teeth is YELLING at me "this isn't a parking lot! Move it, I don't have all day!" Tried to explain I was taking an important call & would only be a minute. This was met with more yelling & cussing. Intimidation. Uncalled for and inappropriate behavior. I don't expect the most educated people to be working at a car wash, but this future felon needs an attitude adjustment and some feedback on customer service and courtesy if you want people to come back - especially with the new car wash being built less than 5 minutes away.

While changing my oil, Dan and the tech, Nikolai, were able to find some other issues including my brakes, egr valve gasket and camshaft plug. They were honest with me regarding what they found and gave me a decent price without tryin to run me up which I appreciated. Overall, they did a great job with my car and they didn't try to push unnecessary work to be done on my car. I will continue to use them and I would highly recommend everyone else to as well. I'd been having recurring cylinder misfires for months. I'm no stranger to mechanical work and did…read moreeverything I could think of to resolve but needed another eye on it. We're 40+ mins away from the nearest BMW garage so I found Mike's Auto which is within 10 minutes. They specialize in import repair according to their site so I brought it in for a diagnostic. I just needed to know what they thought caused it and could probably do the repair myself. I'd already done turbos, O2 sensors, ECU, throttle body, Vanos, etc. The guys were very accommodating but communication was poor, I had to call for any updates or to find out they needed me to authorize a repair. Three weeks and $1800 later I pick up the car and don't even make it a mile before all the misfires come right back. This, despite their assurances that it was test driven multiple times. Right back I go. A week later I'm now told a catalytic converter was plugged and causing faulty readings for air/fuel mix, creating misfires. It made sense, the tech even sent me a video showing his gauge reading. He was confident. Cats were about the only thing I hadn't changed. They estimated 8-9 hours book rate so I took it home and installed some brand new cats myself (3 hours real time.) Car made it several miles this time before the same error messages appeared. So, the diagnosis was still incorrect. I won't be bringing it back. The guys tried hard but it's clear they don't possess any specific import knowledge or experience that will help me out. I've wasted $1800 to get back where I was a month ago, but with a pair of shiny new cats now. They're probably fine doing standard work like suspension or oil leaks but anything more complex seems beyond them.
