    Very flexible with scheduling and I appreciate the notes they leave behind. Great with my 65 lb Boxer and my 15 lb Terrier!

    Love Those Paws was great from the moment I messaged them for a quote until I returned from…read morevacation. Stewart guided me through setting up a time to go over all the particulars. Despite me typing up a whole instruction sheet, he insisted on walking through again just to be sure (which is very reassuring). The actual pet sitting was spectacular. The pet sitter who was assigned was Kim. She spent plenty of time with the cats and made sure they were well cared for while I was away. The visit reports they leave are really cute as well. Could not have gone smoother! I'd also like to add that they were available with very short notice (3 other pet sitting companies were unable to handle our request). Also want to add that Stewart (when he came for the home visit) was wearing a mask and gloves to protect against COVID (a welcome sight). Pet owners would should have their minds at ease if they select Love Those Paws. If I go on vacation again (few and far between these days) I would definitely use them again!

    We've been using Love Those Paws since 2015 to watch our cockatiels when we go on vacation. It is…read moremuch less expensive than boarding them at the vet and less stressful for the animals. The sitters vary but all are enthusiastic based on the reports they leave. After every visit the sitter leaves a note of when they came and left and what they did. They also usually text us an update and a picture of our birds. We come back to a stack of reports. The sitter stays a while after the food, water, and paper are changed to make sure the birds aren't acting weird, and I hear that some singing goes on. We've never had a problem and have be accommodated at very short notice when we want to go away for the weekend. I highly recommend this company. 1/27/20 Update: Just used them again during a ten day trip to Hawaii. I'm pretty sure our birds are in love with Alex, who came for most oF the visits. Now they are just stuck with us. As always, a great experience and we love being able to travel without any worries.

    I learned about Prance Around Pet Service through a neighborhood group Facebook post. I originally…read morehired them for dog walking services while I was on a 7-day vacation. My initial call was returned quickly, and Joelyne was friendly, professional, and enthusiastic about meeting my dog. She was timely in sending the onboarding paperwork, and completing the set-up was easy. She set up a Zoom call (since my request for service was only 2 days away), and "met" me and my dog virtually. It was perfect. Every day while I was away, one of Prance Around's team members showed up during my specified window and walked my dog for 45 minutes. I received a custom walk report via email every day following the walk, and it usually included pictures. I LOVE that feature! While on vacation, a family member became critically ill and required hospitalization immediately upon our return to the US. I was able to email Prance Around and extend service for an additional week without any problems. Our service commitment ended, and only a few short days later, my family member was back in the hospital. With only a day's notice, I was able to contact Prance Around and get my dog back on their schedule. No hassles. No problems. Joelyne and her crew are incredibly kind, generous, and empathetic. It has been such a relief to know that I can call on them to take care of my girl and not have any worries. I would, without hesitation, absolutely recommend Prance Around Pet Services, and I will continue to use them as our needs arise. Thank you, Joelyne, for making these last two weeks a lot less stressful and for taking such good care of my girl!

    I would not hire April L. owner of Unconditional Love Pet Sitting again after the disastrous week…read moreshe stayed in my home to care for my 6 guinea pigs and 2 elderly dogs. She was to arrive at noon on Sunday and she didn't show up until 5PM; we had left @ 9:30AM. My daughter had to come let the dogs out because April did not respond to phone calls or text messages. She thought that the text message I had sent her when we left meant we hadn't left yet and that she didn't have to come at noon as we had discussed. The neighbors reported that my dogs were off leash and out of my yard while she played football with kids in the court (violating community and county and state laws). The lawn company left written instructions to keep the dogs off the lawn for a minimum of 6 hours beginning at 1:45 following a toxic weed treatment and my neighbors report seeing my dogs outside in the yard at 4PM. My boy dog is STILL licking his feet after two treatments for reaction to the chemicals he stepped in. Instead of parking in the garage as she was instructed, and had the garage door opener so she could, she parked in the driveway letting everyone know we were away. She let pasta boil over so significantly that it took two 2-hour soakings with 409 to remove from stove top; three for the area under the stove top. The burner will never come clean even after soaking in Tarnex for 24 hours and scrubbed with a Brillo pad. My neighbor reported the car being in the driveway Sunday through Thursday nights but not there on Friday or Saturday night. One afternoon when my daughter stopped by, she found a half empty bottle of wine (and the above referenced stove mess). I was missing some alcohol that had been left in my refrigerator. On Saturday night, my daughter received a text message from April asking when I was supposed to be home (I was due home Sun @ 9AM) because she had left my home @ 3:00PM and hadn't heard from me; this was at 9:30PM which meant the guinea pigs hadn't been fed and the dogs hadn't been out. My daughter reported that the gates which were to be in place to keep my dogs from climbing the stairs were never in place when she visited 2x during the week; my girl dog had to be on 'puppy bed rest' because of herniated disks in her lower back otherwise she'd require very expensive back surgery. The thermostat was set at 65 with the fan running 24/7 for weather that was in the mid 60's, overcast and grey. When I returned home, my house was so cold I had to turn the heat on even though it was 75 degrees outside. The guinea pigs were not fed properly as there was too much lettuce left over when I arrived home; I had left enough to get through to the Monday after my return. Detailed care information was reviewed with April the Monday prior to my departure and printed out for review while we were away which was clearly not followed based on what I found upon my return home.

    I reviewed with Ms. Lee the specific needs for my 6 guinea pigs & two elderly dogs; she knew that I…read morewas leaving Sun morning return the following Sun by noon specific dates/times were reviewed on 9/19 as it determined her fee) I also provided info for feeding schedules, medications, & info on the home, & that my daughter, Christine, would be coming by on Tues & Thurs to refresh the guinea pig cages, & bring more greens since Ms. Lee was not entirely familiar with guinea pigs Day of departure: As agreed, I notified Ms. Lee via text that we had left home at 9 am - she was to be at my home by noon Sun to begin her employment By 2:30 I had not gotten a response from Ms. Lee & began calling without success - she did not answer my or Christine's calls or texts; we were unable to leave msgs so I asked my daughter to go let the dogs out since Ms. Lee was, now over two hours late with no notice of why Christine said that Ms. Lee called her around 3:30 that afternoon & said that her work had run late, & she assumed we'd not left home yet According to Christine, Ms. Lee said she "figured it would be ok to be a few hours late & she was having cell phone issues & that was the reason we could not leave her voicemail She did not arrive at my home until around 4:30 or 5 that evening I didn't confirm arrival from her until our boat was sailing away from the pier Tues: Christine came to my home with fresh greens & discovered things were not as they should be Lights were left on all around the home, my previously clean kitchen was dirty, & the thermostat had been set to 65 with the fan running The weather for my area the week we were gone was a consistent temperature around 60 during the day, w/ gray overcast skies & chances for rain I should also mention that guinea pigs, being small animals with fragile immune systems, should not be exposed to temps below 68 for any extended period of time Christine, being familiar with the way things should be, returned things to normal, refreshed the cages, & went on her way Wed: Ms. Lee contacted Christine via phone to ask two very specific questions - what was the security code for the alarm company should they call & need verification, & how many cherry tomatoes should she feed each guinea pig This information could be found in the paperwork I had left for her to review It became clear at this point that she had not bothered to review any of the info that I had provided, however she WAS sure to retrieve her fee which was stapled to the packet of info I had left for her Thurs: Christine contacted Ms. Lee via text to ensure that there were enough greens for the guinea pigs to carry them through at least my return on Sun Christine wanted assurance that I would not have to run errands on the day of my return from vacation - she was not thoroughly confident in Ms. Lee's capabilities. Christine was assured by Ms. Lee that she had counted the servings & that "Thurs PM - Sun AM is 6 servings and [she] had 9" My daughter arrived on Thurs to refresh the cages & noted that the lawn service was at my home to mow the lawn & treat it with weed killer A notice was left on my door with specific instructions "not to let animals walk on the lawn for at least 6 hours after treatment at 1:45PM" & based on the way things were going, I have concerns that this directive was not followed Sat: I sent an email to Christine & Ms. Lee notifying them that we had left port 2.5 hours late & there was a potential for a late arrival Ms. Lee contacted Christine around noon on Sat wondering how late she should stay Christine was under the impression that Ms. Lee still understood her departure date was Sun, because of the conversation on Thurs regarding greens for the guinea pigs Later that night, around 9:45 pm, my daughter realized that Ms. Lee had left my home thinking I was late returning on Sat. based on text msgs Ms. Lee told my daughter that she was confused about my return date/time & said she'd stayed 4 hours later than contracted at which time Christine stated that if Ms. Lee was confused then she could have contacted any one of our emergency contacts & the issue would have been clarified Christine was also sure to mention that, while Ms. Lee "stayed late", that it should really only count towards the several hours she was late upon arriving her first day Because of the observations & conversations between them throughout the week, Christine was understandably concerned about the quality of care & competency of Ms. Lee Had Upon my departure from the port to head home on Sun, I sent Ms. Lee a text message indicating I was heading home; I have not heard from her since.
