We own several properties in Reno. Recently, we purchased a house that needed some updating. I received Armando's information through a contractor at my job. I contacted him to come view the property and give us an estimate. This was completed March 19. Said he would give us an answer in a "few" days. I texted him March 29, asking if he had anything. He said, "I will get back to you as soon as i can for your estimate." Haven't heard from him since! Knowing we needed to be done end of May- early June. Welp. It's June 8, and I haven't heard from him. Looking at the previous reviews it appears he maybe doesn't know about kitchens, bathrooms, and maybe just more fence and backyard stuff? Luckily, I found someone else amazing I will be reviewing him & he luckily will get the work on our other properties as well!! read more

Needed trees removed, bushes removed and also a retaining wall repaired. Called and got a few estimates and Armando gave us the most reasonable one. When they came to do the job they worked efficiently and left our place looking great! They cleaned up and did everything and more than was promised. I had 5 rotted redwood fence posts that needed to be replaced, and weeds cleared along a ditch behind the fence. Taking a chance, and to my very good fortune, I called A & D General Services based on Yelp reviews. Armando answered my initial call right away and came that evening after his work day to look at what needed to be done. He emailed a quote later that evening. A very fair price, I contracted the work to be done. I don't know how to expound on the reviews already posted other than to say each 5 star review is highly deserved by Armando and his hard working crew. Armando is now my 'go-to' contractor for anything within his scope of ability. My experience: 1) Finished work was very professional. Even a high priced larger contractor could not have done a better job. In fact, it was a 'high priced larger contractor' who put in the posts that rotted. How do you install a redwood post so it rots, much less 5, then charge top dollar?? Go figure. 2) Work was scheduled within days. I had called early in March (my review is delayed - Sorry, Armando!) As expected with any good contractor, he becomes very busy as the season progresses so I was lucky to call when I did. 3) Worked on a Saturday vs Friday to accommodate my schedule. 4) Exactly on time each day. 5) Friendly yet highly respectful. 6) Very patient: always had time for my question/ concerns.
