We had to wait two months from when they quoted us for them to start (this is understandable). Now they have been working on our fence since the beginning of July it is now mid September. Florence Fence has completed four neighboring houses in this timeframe. They are unreliable and not showing up on time. Both gates that have been installed are sagging and look like crap. My husband actually had to go to Florence fence and buy a post because Tahoe fence said they would have to special order it and it would be another 3 weeks. They left cement splatter all over the fence posts and the fence is still not done. We have been struggling to contain our dogs during this time frame and had to go buy an electric fence for the time being. Their excuse is there are schools up in Tahoe that needed to be finished first. Shouldn't those have been finished over summer. Maybe don't take the contract if you can't complete the work. It's getting extremely frustrating. Very poor communication and subpar work! Do not recommend! read more

Love the Yelp app when needing several quotes from vendors. Tahoe Fence replied and was out within a day of requesting quotes for a broken fence. Tahoe fence did take a bit longer than other vendors who were requested, bit given the amount of damages throughout our area, I can see why. read more

I used them in the past and they did a good job. Not sure what's happened now. I spent two months waiting for someone to come out to give me a quote and every few weeks I get a call asking if I still need a quote and then they say well it will be two weeks. A month goes by and same thing. I literally almost begged this company to take my money and they refused. Informed the person answering calls I just went with another company and they lost a 12k job and not even an apology. Just said I'll take you off our call list. Horrible service or lack there of since they did nothing but waste my time for months. The owner should really look into how this place is being run. Tholl had someone out in a week. Tahoe Fence just finished a wood fence on our property in Tahoe. They did a fantastic job-- great quality workmanship. As a response to some of the previous remarks I see-- they are busy-- and they do take some time to get out but once the project is set they are spot on. Everyone needs to remember that there is not a year round building season at the lake and if you offer a quality product you do get busy. they responded very quickly when we asked for a quote.. estimator came and walked thru the property and discussed what we wanted.. got a quote back in a few days.. signed the contract and submitted a down payment.. it did take a few months to get scheduled.. all the fencing contractors seem to've been fairly busy Spring into Summer.. once we were scheduled, they made regular calls to let us know when the crew would show up to start work, generally around ~8:30A, and they showed up on time and got to work.. props to Josh and the crew.. gave them warning about Jethro and they were very understanding, so no problems with the dog.. We'd dealt with other 'fencers' in the area and were unhappy. About a year ago a large section of our back fence blew down and we called Tahoe Fence for an estimate. Very reasonable. They repaired it in short order and we were happy with their service. This year, the wind blew our front gate down (old fence / high wind = disaster!), and we immediately thought of Tahoe Fence. I called them early the next morning and found we were about the 20th caller for fence damage. Even with the 'line' of customers, they were prompt and replaced our old WOOD fence with CHAIN LINK fence. We're not fooling around here anymore - ha. When the gate section at the other end of the house needs replacing, Tahoe Fence will do that as well. In my photo, the fence looks a little off. It's not the fence, it's the uneven ground. They did what they had to do to make it work. Our old wooden fence looked funny too. They are friendly, and do fine work. The lady in the office has a great sense of humor, and she makes calling Tahoe Fence worth it RIGHT THERE. read more

In their message, they stated they they are very far out and very busy so it will take a long time to get out here. I guess if they are that busy, they don't need my business then. Called to schedule estimate for fence repair, was told it would take two weeks to get there. Two weeks later, nothing, no response, had to call again,was told it would take another two weeks to get there, third follow up call spoke with owner or manager and he said he could get there in a week. We received quotes from 2 companies, but Tahoe was the only one to suggest solar powered opener to eliminate the need to run electrical across the driveway. We had a wind storm in Carson City 2 weeks. Called a construction company To place temp fence up. It was done the next day. Called Tahoe fence company they would be out. 5 Days later no estimate! Called and was told it would be another two more weeks for the estimate. Really that wasn't told to me. Come on 1 month for estimate-really. Yes, as good as it gets! Not only are the office staff personable and efficient, the entire crew is responsive and dependable. After a really horrible experience with another local fence company (see other review) and a falling down fence from rotting out fence posts (installed improperly by the original company) after only a few years-I contacted Tahoe Fence Company. Their bid to repair my now falling down fence was reasonable, their work was thorough, and their install team were on time and very attentive to detail. They recommended the steel posts for better support and longevity, at a lower price than digging out the old posts and reinstalling wood, it now is secure and solid. The neighbors complimented them on their politeness and making sure all yards were left clean and neat. The estimate was honored as originally quoted. I ordered a repair and the fence is completely crooked; when I discussed it with them they said they repaired it to match where the nails had been which makes absolutely no sense. When you call a contractor for a repair it's to FIX the problem not match it. I do not recommend this company at all. read more
