I have been going to A/E for auto repairs on my car. I have also referred friends to go. I had to write this review, because I was very upset. Brought my car in to get the valves adjusted. They pulled the valve cover and noticed my rocker arm was off. They said they did not want to fix it. They charged me 280 dollars to take off the valve cover and put it back on. Would take Maybe a half hour!! I paid the bill. I went in to get my AC recharged and they quoted me 500 dollars!! They said they really don't want to work on older cars. I guess if they thought I was stupid enough to pay this, they would. I said that's Crazy for an AC recharge! I left and took my car to another shop and was charged 120 dollars!! I will Never bring my car in again and will Never refer anyone. Thought I was a "Valued Customer "?? That isn't a priority in this establishment. read more

I've been taking my cars to A&E for about 8 years now and ever since they were at their prior location. My first car was a Mazda RX8 with a rotary engine it was hard finding a mechanic around the area at the time who really new how to work and fix my engine. I had gone to another mechanic prior to and apparently my car had two type of coils, and that mechanic had them switch - therefore still causing me problems. Thankfully my dad has been taking his and my mom's cars to A&E way before me and recommended them to me. A&E has been my go to auto mechanic location for my Nissan Altima and now my Lexus. Marco and Shala are like second family! They know I drive a lot for work so the team always makes sure my car is good to go and gets the best parts for travel with also keeping in mind my budget. A&E are a bunch of scam artists. I've been screwed by them before. They did a brake job on my truck that was $2,800. Replaced everything except the rubber brake lines. I got the truck back and it still was vibrating and pulling to one side. They told me nothing was wrong when I took it back twice. In the process they broke the driver side interior door handle and didn't tell me. I got into my vehicle to leave and the handle was laying on the floor. Never once was this mentioned when giving me my keys. I went back in and asked why my handle was broke and they said the mechanic broke it. So I asked if they were going to replace it and they said no. It wasn't their problem. Anyway I had my neighbor who's a mechanic somewhere else fix the brakes. It was the rubber lines deteriorating that caused the vibration and pulling. A&E are horrible business people!!! read more

I brought my auto in to have a headlight issue looked at to find a root source of an electrical problem. This problem was never addressed and instead a 220$ band-aid was done instead! They replaced a 10 amp fuse with a 15 amp fuse left a jumper wire on and never looked at why I didn't have power to the drivers side headlight. They were to call me after an initial inspection of 2 hours to discuss what they found, never happened! I called twice and played phone tag and never got an answer except your car will be ready at 4:30. Don't use this shop! read more

I have a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air. It is an expensive custom car and I am picky where I take it for repair. I needed custom exhaust work so I checked Yelp ratings and found A&E. I met with Marco and confirmed my car would be well taken care of. The staff were polite and professional. Marco called me and kept me informed which I found refreshing. I recently had a very bad experience with driving from CA to FL in a Uhaul to move and towing my mustang. While stopping for the night in Dallas TX my mustang was smashed up and broken into. I went to A and E Auto to get my mustang repaired and it was there for almost two weeks but not because of the shop it was my insurance company giving a hard time. While it was there Marco the owner was so attentive and kept me in the loop and made me really feel like he cares. He always contacted my insurance company to help speed things along and went the extra mile to get my car back the way it was. In fact everyone there was so friendly and made me feel at ease! These guys go above and beyond. Our car broke down on the highway on the way to the Mayo Clinic, AAA told us they couldn't fit our young kids in the tow truck and they were sorry. A&E heard we had kids with us and without even asking they contacted a rental car company, got us a discount with them, and arranged for them to pick us up on the side of the highway. As soon as they got the car they spent so much time calling parts stores in the area until they found a store who could deliver the part same day. They worked SO hard to make sure our car is done today so we make our appointment tomorrow morning. And because of them we did make it!!! They are incredibly nice and honest, I wish I could give them more that 5 stars! They treated us like family. Thank you all for making a really stressful situation so much easier to deal with. This is a really great looking office and building. Everything is very clean and they have a great waiting room! The staff and service are exemplary here! When I first came to A & E, I had an alternator problem and a problem with the engine constantly puffing out smoke. I recently bought an aftermarket warranty for my vehicle and they were able to work with the company and have them pay for the whole on alternator problem! Then they dug into the engine to see what was wrong with that and the whole engine was basically falling apart. They are really great at documenting everything they do and taking pictures of everything they do. The engine was basically a ticking time bomb and so we decided to replace the whole thing. The owner found a great deal on a used engine with less than half the mileage of the original, plus he was able to work with the warranty company and they paid for the majority! These are some really great people with the utmost integrity! Working with them was hands-down the best experience I've ever had with a mechanic. read more

I had my vehicle in for work and only had problems with all aspects of A&E auto repair. What they called professional work was a joke there business ethic is atrocious. Please take my advice and avoid this place at all costs.
