I am certain I would have not been as patient with us as they were. They didn't make us feel stupid for all our questions, or rush us when we were clearly "chieftains of indecision". This was true even when we lingered a bit long at or near closing time. The jaybird team made so many accommodations and changes for us and we felt genuinely cared for us even with our idiosyncrasies. We finally finally made up our minds on the exact sofa, number of pieces and color, and now have this great new sofa in our basement movie room. Even the delivery guys were exceptional. We got our couch during a sale, and even with adding back in the five-year warranty (which also included two large cushions as part of the package) the cost was cheaper than the list price. Our delivery was several weeks after ordering, which was sooner than estimated; the delivery guys unwrapped the couch parts and put on the feet, but oddly did not clip the sections together; seems like that should be done while everything is in its disassembled state? So now we have to figure that out. But happy with the couch so far: very comfortable (I don't want to get off of it).

The good and the bad. Came here for a custom vanity…read more Good - My service rep was great, she was accessible and gave me everything I needed for my order. No complaints there at all. Bad - My custom vanity came without the chosen legs. Called about that, and was told there was no ETA on a remedy. These are simple wooden legs painted white. Likely sitting in a warehouse and someone unwilling to do the 5 minutes of work to correct a mistake that wasn't mine and stuck it at the end of the queue. Had to bug Studio 41 about 5-6 times for updates, and finally received after 16 days. Then no hardware at all to attach or even instructions on how to do it. Delayed my project 2 weeks (living in a condo with no working sink in the only bathroom sucks) and cost me extra work for the contractor to do another hour of work to find a solution and install the legs. In the end I paid double for something custom and it was the only part of my renovation that did not go well. Unsure why the cabinet maker who work with Studio 41 doesn't really care about a screw up, nor did any manager call me or anything to apologize or suggest any solution. Honestly, I just should have bought some simple white furniture legs from Amazon on day one and it would have saved me 2 weeks of complaining into the wind and another $200 of labor. Would definitely never use Studio 41 for anything custom again.

My belief is…read moresimple, when you pay someone a good amount of your hard earned money, the job should be done right. There are exceptions, though, and Lisa is definitely one of them. Obviously, Lisa and her team did a fantastic job with the landscaping. She presented me with three different design options, worked with me to stay within my budget, and then executed the project exactly as she explained she would. She even moved my project up on the schedule after I mentioned I was planning to sell my house soon, which I really appreciated. What really stood out, though, wasn't just the quality of the work, it was the communication. It was clear, transparent, and consistent before, during, and even after the project. That level of professionalism is surprisingly rare in the home improvement industry. I own a house that was built in 1887, and over the past eight years I've hired countless companies for projects including a new deck, porch, fencing, painting, paver installation, and just about everything else you can think of. One of the most frustrating parts of working with companies in this industry is the lack of organization and communication. They're usually quick to collect the deposit, but after that you're left constantly following up for project start dates, updates, and progress. Working with Lisa was the complete opposite. She was organized, proactive, and always kept me informed. It was honestly refreshing. If you want to roll the dice and deal with the same frustrations I experienced with two other landscaping companies before finding Lisa, go for it. She then took those and made three very detailed designs in video format. From there we went back and forth a few times as I wanted a combination of designs.
