Got the job done, but $110 for an '89 VW is really steep. I understand it takes more time (have to put it on the dyno) BUT really!? The van burns clean and always passes, and the process took 20 mins instead of 10, I don't see the justification. When other shops charge $60 I feel gauged. read more

My check engine light was on which means an automatic fail. By law these places are suppose to tell you that they see the light is on and stop the test without charge. This place completed the test, told me I failed because of the light and then charged me $30. I would recommend the Smog Center Inc on 968 Piner Road instead. The price is $80 but they run an honest business and will tell you if the test is going to fail ahead of time so you don't waste money. read more

A Plain and simple service. I called A&G Smog Check, was greeted nicely on the phone. Asked a few questions, got the answers I needed. I was asked if I knew about the coupon. Found the coupon through their website, printed it up, and brought it with me. Their shop was easy to find. After getting out of my car, I was greeted by the host who took my coupon, registration, and car keys; she prepared my invoice, while the shop's technician smog tested my car. My car past! The cost was lower than any other smog station that I have been to, and the fastest that I have ever witnessed, approximately 10 minutes. I am going to share this outcome with my family and friends. This was a good experience, usually a smog check cost more money, and takes much more time. I am quite pleased with this company and their service. Stay away! These people try to make your vehicle fail. Went in today for a smog. Was told the O2 sensor wasn't ready yet. Charged me $39 for doing nothing.
