Get the wingburger, it's great! We ordered from the American portion of the menu and I'd say the further you stray from the wingburger the less happy you'll be. Can't comment on the service since we ordered takeout but the restaurant itself is a 1990's style strip mall diner feel. That's not negative nor a criticism, just an observation. If you're ordering takeout via Yelp, note the burgers come with fries, you don't need to necessarily order fries or another side. We come here a couple of times a year with daughter, son-in-law and 3 grand kids. We get a mix of Korean food and even runny eggs and french toast for the fussy one. Everything is good and everyone is pleased. Been doing this since pre-covid. For the quality, flavors, and rather simple yet diverse menu, I'm definitely updating my previous review and uping my star count to five. Family owned and operated the wife runs the front of house; pleasant lady. The menu here will appease a generally wide variety of tastebuds, having some of your more American fare for the less adventurous. There's also a section for breakfast and lunch items. On the north wall is several chalk boards showing the daily food and drink specials. But A&J's also offers several Korean dishes. I wasn't very hungry, so I decide to try their Mambo Roll, and it was rolled fresh and deep fried, so came out hot; the egg roll wrap did not have a foul aftertaste of oil. It was the perfect size to save half for a leftover meal. I would definitely ask if extra crumbled pork could be added (always game for more protein), but it was very good nonetheless. I'm a big fan of cabbage, it tasted good. And the rice noodles are very thin and not overwhelming. I did get a chance to try a bite of the veggies that come in the squid stir-fry, and the flavors were pretty great. The brown sauce was not overly fishy and complemented the veggies. There were several tasty bonchons that can with this dish. Personal favs: pickled daikon, a rendition of macaroni salad, pickled cucumbers, and the garlic bokchoy. I could go for those sides together as a meal any day. I'm glad I gave A&J a third try - this experience really stuck and I'm looking forward to try more of the Korean offerings. Loved it! Didn't know Pickerington would have such authentic Korean food. What really shocked us was that they had a full bar with various drinks. We stayed there for about one and half hours and saw a lot of families came to have dinner. It was very family oriented too. When we are in the Pickerington area next time we will definitely go back to here again. read more

Their Korean dishes are always delicious and hot in temperature when your order arrives at your table. They also have American dishes if you bring a friend whom is not into Korean Cuisine. My husband and I had a favorite Korean Restaurant in Indianapolis but couldn't find one near us and drove to north side of Columbus to find one. I am in my 70's and don't want to go that far so when I found A & J Wing-burger in Pickerington I was delighted! Only 20 minutes away. Oh their Korean dishes are just the way I remember them in Indy. They had my favorite Bibimbop and that is correct spelling. They also had the additional small dishes that I love too. I'm going back but unfortunately my honey is no longer with me. So this place makes me think of many fond memories of our dining out experiences. And the service is amazing and quick. While the namesake wingburger tasted very good it also stirred a feeling of guilt within at how RICH and gluttonous it was. In my mind I just knew it had well over 1,000 calories. And fat as I am, I just couldn't clear my conscience enough to finish it. I felt like a pig at the slop bucket. So I threw it out after eating less than half of it. Do I penalize the business for selling something so fattening? Only if I weren't fully aware of how rich the burger indeed was, right? I guess I knew it had hundreds of calories, but thousands? It honestly didn't dawn on me. So, taste: 4 stars, as a meal: 3 stars. The fries, on the other hand, were five star delicious. Yum! As for service, I honestly don't think the elderly Asian woman (who was there all alone) appreciated me being there. It was evidentiary when, after talking with me, her face lit up when she took the order of a family who came in after me. The restaurant itself could use a serious cleaning of it's front façade. I don't know why so many Asian restaurants are content to let their windows look an opaque, smudgy, and dark as they are but if I didn't know better, I would think they went out of business long ago. This would have been a perfect "compromise" dining option for my husband, the original "Mr. Meat and Potatoes" and I to enjoy together. He would have loved their variety of tempting burgers, soups, sandwiches, chicken tenders, quesadillas, fish and chips, and what appears to be pretty extensive drink options. I zoomed straight to the Korean side of their menu, and as usual, wanted to try one of EVERYTHING. I finally decided on two things I hadn't tried before, duk bok gi for an appetizer (rice cakes and veggies in a DELICIOUS spicy sauce) and japchae noodles for an entree. Hands down The BEST Korean Food in Columbus OHIO! I have tried A LOT of Korean restaurants in Columbus and NOTHING compares to A&J's!!! The most disappointing fact? I literally live ten minutes away and have been driving 35-40 minutes to either go to campus or Bethel for Korean food! Now, that I know that this is close - I'll definitely be coming here more frequently! I ordered the kimchi chigee with rice. Oh my! I have NEVER finished a whole pot of kimchi chigee at any other Korean restaurant because of the pots only being filled with large amounts of kimchi. A&J's fills the pot with kimchi, tofu, egg, onions, and pork! I ATE IT ALL! It was seriously ohhhh so good...maybe, just as good as my mama's. ;) The prices are nothing to be upset about either! Only $11 for a pot of kimchi chigee, a bowl of rice, and six small Korean side dishes. That's not even a daily special! But I went inside and two of the nicest ladies I've ever met helped me as I ordered off of the Korean menu. I apologized for not being able to pronounce anything properly, but they helped me out and taught me. Everything was so delicious! I'm so glad we did! The Stone Pot Bibimbap was amazing, and I would 100% order it again. The tasting plates were a nice touch and funny enough - two contained American tastings (macaroni salad and coleslaw). My partner had the fish and chips - which was was the daily special for $6.99 as well as boneless wings. The cod was large, flakey and lightly battered. The boneless wings seem to actually be made in house (not frozen) as our waitress asked him if he liked dark meat on his wings or not. Decided to drive until I saw something interesting and I ended up at A & J's WingBurger, American & Korean Cuisine. I arrived shortly after lunch hour(s) and was immediately greeted by a very sweet hostess. She kindly walked us through some of the items on the menu. I asked about their challenge/specialty, the Mega Wingburger and she gave me a descriptive breakdown, which did pique my interest: 3 quarter pound patties, 8 boneless wings in wing sauce, 6 slices of bacon, mushrooms and onions, topped with pepper jack cheese and blue cheese dressing. With my son present, I allowed him that luxury (but he just got the traditional Wingburger, 1/4 lb and 4 pcs of boneless wings) while I kept it safe and ordered fish and chips. I guess my body is too broken down to hand that much food anymore ;-) I also ordered a set of medium wings. Our wait wasn't long at all and the food lived up to my expectations. The fish and chips were well-prepared with a nice portion of fish. Very tasty without tartar sauce and even better with. Being medium, the wings still had a good kick to them with a very faint sweet taste to them. I tried my sons Wingburger and it was really good, but it was truly a mouthful. Between trying to keep the wings in the burger and squeezing the other contents out of the other end, he literally had his hands full. Still, he enjoyed every bite. The fries rounded out the meal perfectly. If I had to complain about anything, it was that I got full, way too fast! But hey, that's a good thing. I'm looking to return to try some items on the Korean side of the menu, as well as their breakfast, which starts up at 8. You'd want to pay this place a visit. It's a good time. I've heard this place was good from a few different people and finally decided to try it. I'm mad that I am only about 15 minutes away and I didn't know about this place sooner because the Korean dishes were good! I've been going all the way north to satisfy my random Korean cravings when it was near home all a long! As someone mentioned before, it is a bit of a weird vibe. It was quiet and the music player didn't work, Selena was muted and playing behind the bar, and the menu was a mix of random American food...then a group of about 5 rolled in and were very loud and having a good time (they had a few drinks lol) and the owner apologized but we didn't mind. The small dishes were brought to us and to our surprise it even had some American food like coleslaw and macaroni salad which was actually really good. It made me wanna try the American dishes for next time. We ordered stone bibimbap, Korean fried rice and chicken wings. All were good quality and delicious, I especially enjoyed how crispy the wings were. Boyfriend was tempted to try to famous A&J Wingburger but the dishes were large portions and we were stuffed. Maybe next time! The owner was very warm and welcoming as well as the older lady. We will definitely come by again.
