If you're looking for a place to get your car repaired, have an oil change or any other service- this is the place to go. Imagine my joy when I went to start my car on Sunday night (it was FREEZING) and it wouldn't start. It just made this horrible noise that made my heart and ears hurt. I had my car towed to A&M because my husband had used them for some repairs and he felt that the prices were reasonable and they were honest. We moved here from Seattle a few years ago where we had an AWESOME mechanic, and anyone who has ever had a good mechanic understands how hard that is to give up. This is your "good mechanic." You're welcome. When the shop reopened, I got a car at about 9:30 from Gary, who told me they looked at my car and weren't able to find what caused it to not start. The car started for them numerous times and they checked all of the usual suspects and didn't find anything wrong, except maybe that my mat had slipped upward and blocked the clutch from being able to be fully depressed. As much as you sort of want to hear that they've found your problem and something had been replaced, I was impressed because 1) he called me at 9:30, not 2pm (like mechanics usually do) and 2) he was honest with me. You want an honest mechanic that won't rob you blind, don't you? Gary was also quite personable. He asked me what kind of noise the car was making and I imitated it for him over the phone and he didn't even make fun of me (he should have). I told him about some other issues I was having with the car and he said he would look into that issue and continue to look at the original issue. My car was finished within a few hours and is now running like it did before. When the car was done, I was stuck at home with a bum foot, two kids and a 19 degree forecast and they told my husband that they could come and pick me up (!!!). We passed on that offer because I actually had a way to get my car the next day but had this been any other week I would have taken them up on it. We originally chose this mechanic at random and we are thankful that we did because they will be our new family mechanic until we spring out of Everett. They are honest, capable, reasonable and do quick and quality work. Another thing that I liked was that he asked for a review. He didn't ask for a specific kind of review, just a review. I had been very busy with work and playing catch up after returning from the weather, I hadn't had a chance to get to working on my truck. My mom needed to move ASAP. She found a place on a Wednesday and wanted to move by Saturday. To do that, my truck needed fixed. Called these guys the next day, (Thursday). They had me bring the truck in Friday morning. By noon the problem was found and fixed. Done. Couldn't have asked for faster service or better customer service. I will be more than happy and willing to bring any of my vehicles, here. Honestly been the first and last place I stopped after moving to Everett, for all my auto needs. After moving to Everett from Minnesota, A&M was the first place I went to in order to get my plates and tabs transferred. They not only got my car up to grade to pass emissions, but they didn't charge an arm and a leg, and ever since, any time I have been in a pinch, they have always given me reasonable quotes, and excellent repair. I was charged for an inspection twice for the same problem within a couple weeks time frame. The first visit was to check why my AC unit was not blowing cold air. Rich at the front office said they would do an inspection for leaks or problems and than they would add the freon there after. Rest assured Rich stated that if there was any problems I could bring the car back in with no charge. I was than charged a couple of hundred dollars for freon and inspection. The AC worked for a couple of days then it stopped working. I called Rich and set up another appointment for car to be looked at. This time they said a tube needed to be replaced and would cost $860 to do the repairs. I declined to proceed with service. I mentioned to Rich what he had said the first time around that there would not be a charge if I needed to bring vehicle back. I don't expect them to cover parts and labor of a bad part but am upset I spent around $300 for inspections and service that could have been avoided if they did the inspection right the first time, as he wanted to charge me $67.92 for inspection second time a round since I declined the service. I than proceeded to ask what exactly was damaged? Rich said it's not his field and he would get the mechanic who was Dave. Before Dave walked into office there was a scream like a mad man in the garage, he walked in and yelled WHATS THE PROBLEM! very abruptly. Very unprofessional especially to a returning customer who spent over $1500.00 previously on other repairs. Rich went into hideout while he sent Dave to deal with the customer. In fact Rich was going to waive the charges until he went and got Dave that said he needed to pay the workers. Without questions I paid the second inspection fee. Never once did I say I was not going to pay the inspection, I just reiterated the warrant that Rich verbally said at my first visit, but I guess things change. I will take my services elsewhere! BEST MECHANIC EVER! Very honest, hard working to get back on the road as soon as possible, great work, so nice, fair pricing. You can read my story below, I called A&M to get a rough estimate on what I thought the issue with my vehicle was. I spoke to Gary and he was so nice and professional I instantly felt a sense of calm in a stressful situation. He provided me with a quote of a price that was lower than the 3 other shops I had called before them. He was also able to get me in right away and told me that he would fit my vehicle in around the other appointments that had previously scheduled for that day. When I arrived at the shop Gary was very pleasant when he greeted me. Gary told me that he wanted to take a quick drive with me so he could hear the sounds that my car was making so that he could better asses the issues. Upon on five minute drive Gary asked me if I had someone planning on picking me up from the shop while they worked on my car. I told him that I worked nearby and that I was going to call an Uber driver to bring me to work. Gary was so sweet and offered to drop me off at work himself, which he did! I then received a call back within the hour with an exact estimate of what the issue was with my vehicle, turned out I was a little off with my guess and instead of racking up the charges on me Gary told me exactly what needed to be fixed how much it would cost. Before the day was over I received another call from Gary to tell me that they were able to get my vehicle fixed that same day when originally I was told that it would probably not be ready until the following day. Oh and the final price was the exact amount that I was quoted from the beginning, down to the penny which was a breath of fresh air to not have any hidden fees or charges, I was so excited! Unfortunately due to personal circumstances I was not able to pick up my vehicle until the next day. I called the day of pick up to let them know I was stopping by and was told that the mechanic had taken time out of his morning to look at another small issue my vehicle had, he fixed the other small issue himself and didn't even charge me. They also vacuumed out the interior of my vehicle, and for a mom of two young boys this was no small job, I really appreciated that! I had also left my lunch and water bottle there when I dropped off my vehicle, I had expected them to not think twice about it and just throw it away, instead they took the time to put it in the fridge for me and have it ready for me for when I stopped by to pick up my vehicle the next day. I will definitely be going back there for any future auto work and I would highly recommend them. You just can't find any better service than that. read more

I needed a new spot. I'd been eyeing A&M since they opened and they are nice and close to my house. Called them up to have some work done on my Tahoe. I wanted to throw money and parts at it, they held me back and wanted to really examine the problem. They were excellent!! Called me with what they found and even found some other issues. Now, usually when mechanics find other issues I tell them to forget it and just fix what I need fixed. But when the price wasn't through the roof to fix the other issues I told them to do it all. The truck still has other issues to be taken care of but now I know where to bring it and feel good about it. read more

I have to admit I have VERY low expectations when I take my car for repair. First I expect they will find MUCH MORE wrong with it than I thought. Then I figure they will give me an estimate with a bunch of extras hidden in the pricing. I also expect they will find more "issues" while fixing it and my bill will be at least 30% higher than the estimate.... and "Oops didn't the other guy call you and tell you the whichymabob was also broken?" And finally, I expected it would not be ready for pickup for at least two or three days past the date promised. Not so here! Extremely professional Mike answered the phone and said I could bring my car in right away. I dropped it off and received a call the following morning with an estimate. It was right on track with what I was expecting to pay. I was given a date to pick it up... was called that day and told it was ready! And WAHLAH!!! it WAS ready and the final price was exactly $1.80 more than the estimate. I don't remember this EVER happening before in my (very long) life! They don't do all the extras your dealer might do.. no free loaner, no car wash, but they are extremely kind, courteous and professional and don't overcharge!! I will never go anywhere else for repairs on my Volvo. Thank you so much Mike and Gary! YERTHUBEST!!!!
