In 2019 I paid $65 dollars for the oil change and got complimentary rotation of good year tires. I had an excellent experience and trusted the garage was doing what was in the customer's interest. The garage is a longer distance then other locations so I was not back until recently. But trusted the garage would be fair. I was charged more than double the 2019 costs at this appointment. There was an added charge of $75 for labor. I called to ask about the extra amount and was told since co-vid they had to add labor costs and because of all different varieties of cars now mechanics needed more extensive knowledge. I asked them to please inform future customers of this new policy as it was a charge I had never heard on and a very unpleasant experience. read more

My Explorer started making a horrendous noise so we took it in for a diagnostic. Mark and his crew got to work and got us a real reliable estimate as wellas a quote on a tune up. Ended up needing to have the tensioner pulley for the Turbo replaced. When it came time to do the work, they got it done in less than 6 hours, fixed a few little things here and there for free, and didnt have any surprises in the bill. These guys charge a lot. They're fast, they're competent and they've always been able to fix my car -- but they're a bit greedy. They charged me $9 to put a few ounces of brake fluid in my car. That and some of their mechanics made inappropriate and nasty remarks about me as I was walking back to my car. I guess if you can put up with that, then these are the guys for you; if not, you might want to go elsewhere. read more

Honest, up front and totally transparent about charges and services preformed. My 2000 Blazer had several issues they addressed them all in order of importance. On Memorial day May 31, 2021 my car MB GLK-350 did not start and was towing to Everett Tire & Automotive. On June 3 Mark S. Dowdle said that the car is working again. I paid $422.73 and told him that I am out of town and will pick up the car in few days. Suddenly I got call from Mark and he told me that car is not starting again and he needs few days to fix the problem. From that time I was trying for two weeks to find out what is going on with my car and have been told continually by Mark that he will fix the car on next day for TWO WEEKS. Eventually he fail completely to fix the problem and the car was towing away from his shop on June 19. Mark is very good talker, but he is very bad mechanic. Received excellent service at Everett Tire & Automotive! I park in a nearby garage for work. Just as I drove in to park, I realize one of my tires is almost completely flat and there's a giant hole in it. I walked over to Everett Tire & Automotive and Lisa and Mark could not have been more helpful. Shop staff actually replaced my tire right in the parking garage so I didn't have to deal with putting on the spare. My car was ready long before the end of the day, so I just picked up my keys and paid when I was done at the office. Fair price for the tire and great price for the outstanding service. My experience with Everett Tire and Automotive was the exact opposite of the first review. This is a great shop run by some really good people. Mark, the owner is a gentleman and probably one of the most knowledgeable mechanics that I have met in some time. The garage is neat, has a tidy waiting area and even has a few peddle-cars for the tots. There are lots of decent restaurants in the neighborhood, should you feel like waiting around. This is a very well run family business that I first used about twenty years ago. I had need of the same type of service recently and remembered the excellent experience that I had with Mark. I dropped my car off and here I am twenty years later having just picked up my car and again I am very impressed. One difference is that he now has his grown son Sam working there who is a chip off the old block. A fine young man who found an appointment time to get me in. I also met his wife Lisa and she was very helpful and personable. Overall they are honest proprietors, perform quality work at reasonable prices and seem genuinely happy to go the extra mile. I took my car in for an oil change and everything was fine. However, they rotated my tires and changed a few light bulbs without asking my permission and proceeded to nickel and dime me for services I didn't ask for (no big deal, just a few bucks). Fast forward a few months and I went to get my tires changed but they were asking nearly $200 for two tires. Seeing how that price seemed outrageous to me, I shopped elsewhere and found two performance rated (a grade above what they were offering) for only $100. When I went to change my tires, one of the lugs were cross-threaded so I took my car back to them so they could fix their mistake. When confronted they said that cross-threading comes from and I quote "natural wear and tear on the car." I couldn't tell if he's a comedian, a severely misinformed mechanic or a scam artist. But I'm guessing I got the the 3 for 1 combo. They made me pay for their mistake and they refused to take responsibility for what they did to my car. I know I'll never be back. I made a yelp account just so you could make an informed decision about where to take your car. read more

8-20-15 my jeep was taken here for an alignment. The alignment is good but when they "test drove" my newly lifted jeep they cut a 2in by 2in L shaped hole in the inside sidewall of my rear tire! They kindly installed the spare tire but forgot to inflate the tire to the correct pressure. The Inside tire light was on(under 30 psi) and they returned the jeep to the company who installed my lift. I called Everett tire and talked to Steve who performed the work but didn't test drive the vehicle. My tires weren't new but not worn out, I asked Steve for some sort of credit for the tire THEY DAMAGED! I was told they don't cover damages that accured while THEY test drove my vehicle. NOT only did they lose my business but they also lost the business of the company who took my jeep there. I may be old fashion but "Treat OTHERS people stuff how you want your stuff treated!! I got nicked for a $115 "diagonostic" fee (claiming on hour and a half labor) on top of $325 parts and labor to replace a non-critical part so the vechicle would pass an emissions test. I could hear the hesitation in the service manager's voice when I asked him if the diagnostics took a full 90 minutes.A lot of repair shops waive the diagnostic fee if you have the work performed They were also going to charge me $77 to "drive the car on the freeway". I declined that $77 service as that is something I do everyday. I was left with the feeling like these guys have a PhD in gouging car owners on repairing emission issues. The service manager was very informative and told me that the $500 plus in repairs would do absolutely nothing to improve the performance of the car. I have strong feeling that the mark up on the $184 "part" is excessive as well. Will report on that later. I am a red blooded capitalist and hold no none at fault for making a fair profit on their services; nothing gets my blood boiling more than getting gauged which is my experience with Everett Tire and Automotive. read more

Scott and the crew working on 11 April were magnificent. They took care of the things I needed to have done, after four years of being unemployed and the shape the truck was in, and were absolutely professional in all they did. I had taken my truck to another mechanic a few months ago, when she first started acting up, and I was told the cost was going to be VERY high for a rebuild of the transmission. Though Everett Tire told me that I will, indeed, need transmission work in the future, they also explained there is no crystal ball to determine when it's going to go bad, only that I should prepare to have it done as soon as I am able. As I continue to get the lives of my sons and I together after this extended period of no money, it's nice to know that the problems I was told were going on with the truck are not grave enough to keep me from being able to take care of other repairs, such as new tires, brakes, and more, and other life requirements that, otherwise, would have been put on hold even longer than necessary. I've been here twice in the last 6 months and will never go back. The first time I came here it was to fix a flat tire. Simple, run of the mill flat repair. First off, parking and maneuvering in their lot is next to impossible. It's so tiny and they have large trucks parked in various locations taking up a few spots each. I don't know if the employees were having a rough day, but no one was friendly or welcoming. It seemed as if it was a major chore to fix a tire. Oh well..job done, fair price, chalk it up to a bad day. The second I came here was to replace a tire, as one had worn so severely it warranted replacing. I ask if they have the tire size I need...it's not an uncommon size. The man behind the counter asks what kind of car I have. I tell him, but also let him know the wheels are aftermarket so that shouldn't matter. He folds his hands together and says, "Hmmmm... no, I don't think we carry that size." He doesn't check, doesn't inquire with anyone, just says, "no." Now I understand when you know your inventory but to not even check, then to answer so 'matter-of-factly', without offering a solution was very irritating. Then, his reasoning was even more irritating. He says, "We only receive 3-4 deliveries a day and that's just not a size we carry." No offering to order one, even for the next day, just,"we don't carry it"!!! Well, you also don't get my business or any of my family's. read more
