We were looking for a used car for my daughter. We had spent several hours looking online and it was hard to find what we were looking for within her price range. We called Rodland Toyota and spoke with Brandon about the 2021 Toyota Corolla they had and the price and mileage was the best anywhere around! The car even came with a FREE 1 year warranty! Brandon was a no pressure, easy going, very patient, family-oriented man. He treats you with respect and offers excellent customer service. I will seek him out next time I want to buy a car. Best car buying experience I've ever had. I started by scheduling a viewing through the website and within 24 hours received a email from Farhad to schedule a test drive. I was able to schedule an appointment for the same day. When I arrived he already had the vehicle pulled up to drive. On the test drive he answered all of my questions and was very kind and engaged. When I asked to look at the numbers I was passed to Jon Bellman. Jon was fantastic to work with. He explained the buying process clearly and answered all of my questions. Not once did I feel pressured or manipulated into a purchase (which I have at previous dealerships). He was friendly and made the car buying experience feel personal. It felt like a place that cares about what they're selling and the people they're selling to. I was shown the perfect vehicle that met my financial and personal needs and was walked through the cars full history. When I had questions about replacement parts Jon took the time to help me look them up. Good for a cheaper car, but not for the amount of money we spent. I've been looking for a used Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro, and saw on CarFax that there was a 2018 in Everett with a 3rd row seat. We emailed about the vehicle, and Mike Pewitt responded promptly. We talked on the phone, and Mike was delightful to interact with, informative, kind and respectful. We loaded up the family, took the ferries, and got there to find CarFax was wrong, there was no 3rd row seat. But the folks at Rodland Toyota were great to work with. After a test drive and deliberations, we opted to buy the 4Runner. Mr. Pewitt told us the only glitch was that the seller only gave them one key. The gentleman in the finance office assured us we would not leave until we had TWO keys. We bought the $$$$ extended protection plan. However, when we were finally ready to drive off, there was only one key. They told us they would make sure we were able to get the key. We told them we would be unable to drive back to Everett to get it, because we have jobs and a toddler and a nursing baby. A couple weeks went by, and we had to email about the key. We were told we could go to Everett for it. Everett again is not an option for us. We asked if a Toyota in Tacoma could, but then we would be paying the $360 plus $5 bridge toll. We had to make several phone calls and finally arranged that if we drive to Auburn (about 40 minutes, still a journey), we could get a key made there. Be careful: Just because you buy the protection plan, it doesn't mean the dealership won't balk at having to shell out $360 or come to you to get you something like your second key. Overall, we liked Rodland Toyota, we liked the folks there that we interacted with, but we felt like after all the money we spent (we're on a tight budget now and working extra hours to make ends meet), they were still tight-fisted. TO add to that, they had said they would have the new plates mailed to us. At the dealership, they made it sound like they were trying to make everything very easy for us. However, the paper taped to the rear window, dated 7 weeks out, had mere days left before I had to go to the department of licensing myself and collect the plates myself--I needed to go to the department of license on a Friday, before my the paper one expired on a Tuesday, despite being told at Rodland Toyota my plate licenses would be delivered. 2 out of 5 stars read more

Here's where the reprehensible behavior comes in. Classic sleezy sales B.S. I should have known better. I reluctantly gave my credit information to the sales staff with the EXPLICIT instructions that my credit was not to be run more than once. They went ahead and ran it SEVEN TIMES. Huge impact on my credit. Had I known, I would have just brought in cash. Contacted the used car manager and he was absolutely no help. Go ahead and buy a car from these guys. They will treat you right. However, what ever you do, DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING WITH YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER ON IT. Get your own financing and bring in cash. Their credit department does not care about your credit. They just want to get the deal done. read more

Marcus was there to assist my teenage daughter and myself with looking at this Highlander. Marcus was very professional, courteous & honest. I purchased the Highlander and traded in my 1998 Sienna. This is the 7th vehicle that my husband and I have purchased over the years. Marcus was the best car salesman that we have ever dealt with and he actually made the process very positive and easy. I've purchased several cars in my life and have grown accustomed to the negotiation process. Because of this, a friend asked me to accompany him and his wife to Rodland to look at a Prius. This is where we met Rob, the salesman who sold my friends their new/used car. Rob was pleasant, professional, but most importantly, knowledgeable. He covered every aspect of the car during the walk around and provided us with the Carfax before we even got in for a test drive. During the drive, he explained how the car was operating, what exactly it was doing, and why. After the test drive, we informed Rob that their intention was to put $0 down. He returned with a write up and explained how taxes, title fees, and license played into the price. We told him where we needed to be in regards to monthly payments, and he returned with a very reasonable counter offer. I was brought along to beat Rob up on price, but after the sales experience as a whole, my friends were comfortable paying a little more than they had budgeted. Wanting to warn other buyers and sellers to be wary of bait and switch tactics employed by Rodland Toyota, specifically at their pre-owned vehicle lot, specifically their internet sales department. I communicated my desired price online/via-e-mail which Rodland in turn called reasonable and tentatively agreed to, but I was asked to come in to make it official. Once I came in the price I wanted magically disappeared and I was offered something way off the mark. Stupid me for thinking use car salesmen had integrity. Other reviewers have had similar experiences based on reviews of Rodland's new car sales lot. Practices like these tend to be blessed (by dictum or by blind eye) by those running the show. My husband and I came all the way from Snoqualmie because we saw a good price deal online for a corolla. We have Rod with us the whole time and he is very knowledgable about the cars and helpful. Unfortunately my car was totalled and as a student paying her entire way through college, I needed a car under 5k. The representative greeted me with "hello little lady" and while I'm sure he meant well, I was absolutely put off. It is not 1950, I am a 24 year old woman, and it made me highly suspicious that I would get charged more because of so many car dealers that stereotype women as clueless about auto mechanics and a car's fair value. That personal bit aside, he told me they had used cars from the late 90s (exactly what I was looking for) but that none were under 8,000. Are you kidding me??? Toyotas are reliable and better than most makes but my own car is a Toyota from the late 90s with 100k miles on it and it's worth $6000 at most (less because of body damage). This place is not here to help you get a fair deal. I'm going to trade in my car for a much better deal elsewhere. Open to changing my review if someone there actually gives me the time of day. read more

I just had an incredibly disappointing experience at Rodland. I've previously purchased two new cars from Rodland, a Corolla and a Tacoma, and brought a friend in who bought a new Prius. I'm certainly not afraid to buy a car. However, the salesperson who met me on the lot today, seemed to have written me off quite early. He basically said, yeah, that's not going to happen, at my offer, didn't bother to give me a business card (which I'm guessing means he didn't believe I was going to buy, since he didn't want me coming back to him) and took a call while on the lot with me. Hate to be sexist, but I have to wonder if its because I am female and was looking at a truck. When I previously bought a new tacoma, my then husband was with me and we got instant service. In addition, this gentleman didn't seem to know his inventory or basics about the vehicles. I'm pretty disappointed and currently looking at other Toyota dealerships. read more
