We had three trees that were in desperate need of a pruning; evergreen ash, avocado, and lemon. We've only had the evergreen ash for a few years but in that time it has really grown. Our avocado tree hadn't been pruned in over 15 years. We usually get a couple crops per year from this tree. However, lately the quality for the avocados hasn't been as good. Hopefully with pruning they will be better. The lemon tree has been trimmed periodically but not like they did it. This crew showed up by 8:00 and had all 3 trees pruned in a few hours. From start to finish their work was professionally done. They cleaned up as they worked. When the work was complete you would have never guessed they were here, except that the trees look fabulous. read more

Recently I had a A&D tree specialist come out and cut 11 palms ,bamboo and a couple very large trees . Four men were there about 6-7 hours . They were very professional and courteous and followed instructions very nicely . Another important note is cleaned up . I have used this company three times and they have always done a good job. Art came to give an estimate and the crew started the same day. Everyone was on time or early. There were two crews, one led by Florencio, who was professional and easy to communicate with. They all worked nonstop for over five hours. I had a large jacaranda tree and a large pine tree trimmed. I have had a good experience with this company in the past, so I recently contacted them for a bid on a very large job. It was very difficult to get timely responses to set an appointment, but after a week, an appointment was finally set for an early morning Weekend at the location where work was needed. I definitely showed up for the appointment, but A & M did not. I called and texted after waiting an hour, and I received a text: "Sorry, I can't make it. We'll have to reschedule." What?! Did they forget about my appointment or did they just not care? How about a phone call before the appointment time. Simple courtesy. I will not be using their services in the future. Not my tree guy, but as a neighbor let me say this: They'll take down whole trees without hauling off the large wood. That means your neighbors will have to endure a whole day of 50+ decibel tree branch and stump grinding. Enough said. That said, 1 star due to above concern, but I was nice to say 2 stars because they probably did a good job with tree work directly. (I just have to wonder about common decency these days when small bulky pieces can be mulched on-site and larger pieces can be done off-site in the company yard.) read more

I've worked with several other tree services and I don't understand how this company is still in business. Cost me thousands of dollars and weeks of frustration to end up having to hire other.guys to clean up his mess. I got estimates from 6 companies. I had some large hillside trees to remove. A&M's bid was in the same range as other tree cutters. The reason why I hired them was because they gave me a 2 day completion time vs. 3-4 days for some others. My trees were on a steep hillside and hard to reach, however, when they arrived, they showed up with a massive crane, that picked up these trees in 4 pieces. They did the job so efficiently and quickly, clean up was great and I can't say more about their cordial high quality service. They're great! read more

I have to say this was the best experience I've had with a company in years. They just removed a huge palm tree from my front yard that was starting to be a problem. The price they gave us was more than fair and reasonable. They removed it fast and did such a good job I was actually amazed. They went above and beyond what was asked and required. When all was done and time to pay came I realized I didn't have the check book at the house, They were very understanding and offered to send someone to our house the next day to pick it up so we wouldn't have to put the balance on a credit card, which would have been an extra 100$ charge.
