We talked, he shared the history of the company (30 yrs in business, I remember correctly) and reviewed what we were hoping to replace- he showed me what Shading Solutions could do- measured, twice, and we were on our way. The date he told me to anticipate our awnings should be delivered and one week before, contacted me to say we are on schedule! The awnings were delivered and we set a date for installation. The day before, Kurt Lamothe, the installer, came to look at the awnings and to check out the job site, impressive! Not waiting for 'day of ' - being proactive shows professionalism ~ so appreciated in this day! The installers show up, again, professional and friendly and EARLY! Again, I was impressed because as they're installing, Joe, my sales guy, shows up just to make sure all is going well and that I was satisfied. He even texted me after to say there is a windy storm rolling in so make sure to roll up the awnings as they were just installed. The guys picked up all the wrappings and left not one piece behind. Oh- and the price was fair, no hard sell or upsell. Will post pics later ~ but we are VERY satisfied to find a company and people who are professional and are great at their jobs! Once I was able to get the permit, my contact Fabian, scheduled us to begin the next day. The removal of our old driveway, framing and grating took a full work day by a crew, led by Mark, that were there to work. I'm disabled and like to sit outside and was able to watch as professionals took care to build me a driveway that I too could be proud of, simply by It's commission. I say commission because after my city inspection, the true artistry began. I was able to watch as they plied their trade, working in harmonious rhythm almost hypnotically. . Even and slow, slowly working rock, grit, and water into position, waiting for the final face of the work. Skimming and cutting lines, floating a layer, that after a gentle brushing the final piece in its entirety reveals itself ,a masterpiece. The next morning I sat talking with the guys sent here to remove the framing and backfill. We talked about Soccer, their kids and their pride in their work. I told them they should be very proud because it was truly remarkable. They finished by giving me trade secrets on maintaining my artwork for as long as possible and ensuring as much debris, as possible, was removed from the site.and the street in front of our home. How can I alone determine a masterpiece you ask? I can't. But I can tell you. In the last days, I sit proudly on my front porch as neighbors greet me with "it's beautiful." I respond with "Thank you, I think so too." I know making a decision in today's economy where getting value for what you pay for can be difficult but if my testimony eases some of that stress, just remember this. I called on a Monday morning to schedule a service appointment…read more After a few calls with no answer, I promptly receive a call from an unknown number from a very lethargic gentleman who identified himself as Tom Longmire. After explaining the nature of my irrigation issue, Tom scheduled me for an appointment for Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 7:00am. Approximately 30 minutes past and no technician. I called the number listed on the website and again, no answer. I then receive a call back from Tom calling from an unlisted number. I explained to "Tom" that my service technician was a no show, no call and it was over 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time. Tom apparently was sleep when I called as he yawned repeatedly in my ear, offered no contingency plan and no apology. All, save your money and spend it with a company who provides premier customer service and doesn't monopolize your time. Tom, going forward, the early bird catches the worm.
