My oil pan gasket leaks a ton of oil, and when I took it back to get it fixed, they blamed the leak on my oil pressure sending unit. When I got the car home, I cleaned all the oil off and the only leak was from the rear of the oil pan. The transmission work I had done they completely messed up. I had the bellhousing replaced, clutch fork replaced, and some other stuff. Recently, I noticed my clutch pedal feeling very heavy and my transmission started grinding when I shift. I pulled the transmission and found that Edwards hadn't put all the fluid that leaked out when they pulled the transmission. There was only 1.5 quarts, when there should be 3 quarts. And to top it all off, none of the bolts for my clutch where tight. Some were hand tight. Because of Edwards, my transmission is destroyed and I have had to replace it myself, and my clutch which was $1,000, is potentially destroyed. Do NOT take your car here

When I picked up my car, my emergency brake no longer worked -- technician failed to properly restore the vehicle to safe working condition. Owner then called me numerous times claiming I am being dishonest on my review and then, just today, threatened to sue me because I exposed the shop for faulty repairs. I will NEVER AGAIN allow Edwards Automotive to touch my vehicle for any reason. UPDATE: 11/22/2024 @ 4pm Independent repair shop found and fixed this problem caused by Edwards Automotive: "Emergency brake not attached to rear drum on driver's side." Facts matter.

Transmission went out on the older CR-V and had a hard time finding a place that I could trust for…read morethis expensive repair since Honda has discontinued the parts for this year's CR-Vs Had the car towed and it took them little over a week and had to take their word for everything they did, supposedly they replaced "everything" inside, I wish they would have called to show me what was wrong. 2,700 dollars later I picked up the car and was told to bring it back in four weeks. I did, three times and they had closed the shop for the Holydays about 10 days, no signs indicating that but it is ok everybody is entitled to a vacation. It takes me running up to 65 MPH for the transmission to engage in overdrive and he said it might be going into overdrive at 45 and then when it reaches 65 it goes into "lock up", not sure what a lock up is, never heard that one before. One year warranty, I hope it lasts longer than one year, how do I know the parts replaced were new, it runs ok, I just hope it lasts

In the end he told my wife we should be grateful they did not charge us for the labor or the new starter. After taking my car someplace else their technician informed me the serial number on the starter was the one on the original one that came with the car. Manager was combative and rude. Had to continually call him for any status. Run do not walk away from this dump! I will never ever do any business with again

Stay far away from this business. It's not a transmission repair shop It's a transmission swap…read moreshop. I took my Jeep Grand Cherokee in for diagnosis for a shifting problem. I asked them before I brought it that they repair transmissions and was assured they did. After having the car all day, I got an estimate for a transmission swap. They were going to sell me a used transmission with only a twelve month twelve thousand mile warranty, only good at this summerville, south carolina location for fifty five hundred dollars. Shop labor was listed as $1890. The trans was offered witha minimal warranty, three thousand one hundred and seventy four dollars. The total bill with taxes came to 5 thousand five hundred and twelve dollars. Their diagnosis was possibly a bad clutch pack and the only thing they would do it was swap out my transmission for used transmission and that they don't work on my transmission. I asked, why don't they work on my transmission? And I was told, they just don't work on it. The labor estimate of one thousand eight hundred and ninety dollars was very sketchy. No labor hours listed, just one thousand eight hundred and ninety dollars in labor. He must be paying his mechanics very, very well. And has a loaded labor rate of about two or three hundred dollars per hour, according to my mathematics or he just tries to soak every customer that comes in there for all he can get. Apparently, the owner does not know that you can look online and find twenty businesses that sell used and remanufactured transmissions over the internet. I even found the used transmission for sale that he was going to purchase to put in my vehicle, it was fifteen hundred dollars. This AAMCO marked it up to 3 thousand three hundred and thirty five dollars. So this is not a transmission repair shop. It's a swap shop with an owner whose only intent is to soak you for as much money as he can get. He told me it was probably a bad clutch pack, and I looked up clutch packs online. You can buy clutch pack rebuild kits from many different vendors. But this AAMCO only has one thing in mind: to rip you off for as much money as he can. So this is the business model. Find a used transmission online over double the price of it from what he paid from the online retailer. Put a grossly padded labor bill on the estimate. Then, take your transmission, your core, and sell it back to another transmission repair place for probably a thousand or two thousand dollars. What a racket this guy is running. This is not a legitimate business. This is a racket. Heed my words and stay far away from this place. And to add injury to insult I had to pay $140 diagnostic fee. It was like an episode of the Sopranos. I'd give zero stars if I could.

They said it could be a simple solenoid replacement or of could be a complete transmission replacemen, but that was unlikely based on our conversation. They're the only ones who treated me with a high amount of respect and it was very much appreciated. When I took it to them, they confirmed the scenario and provided a great service at a great price. They completed the work efficiently and had great customer service along the way, I worked with Natalie throughout the process, I can't recommend this place any higher. I'll definitely be back! but hopefully not for a while lol

They increased the charge of my diagnosis twice and didnt mention the increase until after the fact. I just wanted my vehicle out of there and during the check out process i was almost overcharged $150 after disputing it. It was a mistake on their part but those mistakes occured throughout my entire experience. They also have an AI bot who takes calls and its very frustrating. They are also extremely over priced. As soon as i got my vehicle back i called other shops and they were a 1/3 of the price cheaper than what was quoted. Please spend your time and money elsewhere.

We brought our car in on a Saturday for a specific noise during light acceleration and an overdue…read moreoil change. After diagnostics, we were told the noise was from the CV axles (and that brakes were also needed). We agreed to replace only the axles, quoted at $1,600+, and were told the car would be ready Monday or early Tuesday. From there, communication completely broke down. We received no proactive updates. Multiple calls were routed through an AI system with no callbacks. When I finally reached a person, I was told the staff member handling our car had been out sick and that parts were delayed due to a storm. Totally understandable -- but no one called us, despite us coordinating work, school, therapy appointments, and Uber with one car. We were then told the car would be ready Wednesday, but again received no call. On Wednesday, we were told one axle never arrived and repairs would be done Thursday -- again, no prior notification. When I picked the car up Thursday and paid $1,500, the exact same noise was still present within a quarter mile of driving. I immediately returned. After initially being told it was due to not replacing the brakes (it was not a braking noise), they test-drove the car and then said the real issue was a gunked-up timing chain/belt, which they "fixed" with another oil change and flush. The noise stopped. That raises a serious concern: why were $1,500 axle replacements done when the original issue was misdiagnosed and resolved with an oil change? Had this been correctly identified, we would have made very different decisions. Between the misdiagnosis, repeated missed timelines, lack of communication, and unnecessary expense, this experience was extremely frustrating and left us without confidence in the work performed.
