I had this shop replace my oil pan gasket and do some transmission work on my 66 mustang, and they messed up both. My oil pan gasket leaks a ton of oil, and when I took it back to get it fixed, they blamed the leak on my oil pressure sending unit. When I got the car home, I cleaned all the oil off and the only leak was from the rear of the oil pan. The transmission work I had done they completely messed up. I had the bellhousing replaced, clutch fork replaced, and some other stuff. Recently, I noticed my clutch pedal feeling very heavy and my transmission started grinding when I shift. I pulled the transmission and found that Edwards hadn't put all the fluid that leaked out when they pulled the transmission. There was only 1.5 quarts, when there should be 3 quarts. And to top it all off, none of the bolts for my clutch where tight. Some were hand tight. Because of Edwards, my transmission is destroyed and I have had to replace it myself, and my clutch which was $1,000, is potentially destroyed. Do NOT take your car here read more

DON'T bring your car here! I turned in my vehicle on 11/18 for some suspension repair, brake work and tire rotation totalling over $2,000. When I picked up my car, my emergency brake no longer worked -- technician failed to properly restore the vehicle to safe working condition. Owner then called me numerous times claiming I am being dishonest on my review and then, just today, threatened to sue me because I exposed the shop for faulty repairs. I will NEVER AGAIN allow Edwards Automotive to touch my vehicle for any reason. UPDATE: 11/22/2024 @ 4pm Independent repair shop found and fixed this problem caused by Edwards Automotive: "Emergency brake not attached to rear drum on driver's side." Facts matter. read more

Dropped my truck off before Christmas holiday, they were a bit slow that week so got the plugs replaced, the front brakes replaced (to include rotors) and had the transmission fluid changed on a 2010 F-150. The owner Derryl (unique spelling, may be wrong) seemed friendly and knowledgeable. The work seemed to be done to expectations. The only reason that I give them four stars is based on price, which other reviews on Google have also stated, is a bit high. At the bare minimum they are equal to the dealership and one reason to go to a local shop is to get a bit of a discount, not so here. Though they did turn it around in a day and did what they said they would for roughly the price they quoted. So I can't ding them too hard for that. I would probably shop it around a bit more next time. We have been here for seven years now and are still looking for a good garage to take our vehicles to, unfortunately, I have to say, the search continues. I suspected that I needed a new water pump and after speaking to Darrel, he said he doubted it, but to bring it by to look at it to be sure. On arriving, the work area was spotless, and Darrell greeted me immediately and was very friendly. I left my car and went home. Darrell later sent an estimate via email in the amount of $1600+. I told him it was too much but he said it was all necessary. I asked for a price just for the water pump and it was $900+. I declined and went to pick up my car and was charged $156 service fee to look at it. I wasn't expecting to be charged, and I really wasn't expecting to pay that much. They may be the finest auto repair around and they are thorough and friendly, maybe just to pricey for me. I guess I should have asked how much it cost to look at it. Ended up getting it done for $425 elsewhere. read more

These guys are the best. I have a Ford Exploder--er, Explorer* and we were losing coolant somehow. We had brought it to a few places who just kind of shrugged and said "sorry", but they took the time to put it up, run some diagnostics and put in serious effort and time to try to figure out the issue. Unfortunately, due to the Ford factory seal or whatever () we had to take it to Ford. Where we paid $2200 in labor and $400 in parts/repair. For honest auto repair, go to Edwards. I scheduled this with someone that answered their business phone number after I provided the type of vehicle I drive and a brief description of my concerns. On the day of the appointment, I was told that they don't work on my car type and I must have the wrong place which was weird considering it was the same number in my recent call history. I own a 2007 Chevy Uplander and used Darryl's Transmission & Auto Repair for a rebuild of my transmission. They are very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I have a newer vehicle and didn't trust anyone to fix it because from past experiences it never turned out good. Apparently newer vehicles with all the electronics are a lot different than older ones. This being said, you have to know what you are doing when working on a newer vehicle or it will not turn out good! (Trust me I know) - At Darryl's they are very knowledgeable about newer vehicles and know what they are doing. They made me feel very comfortable through the whole process and keep me updated on my vans status. They were upfront about the cost and didn't higher it along the way (if you know what I mean). When I picked up my van the cost was still as quoted. (which was a really great deal - they didn't try to rip me off, only fix my van and at a reasonable price) I am glad that I found them and will only use them for now on!
