I'll have to update my review when I'm able to order. First time ever eating at long John silvers. Come to the drive thru window at 345pm. It is currently 435pm. I asked around 4:20 if anyone was there. Some lady rudely responded that she was still dealing with inside orders. I look over there at the cars in the parking lot. By this time every single car that pulled up behind me went to the inside to order. Finally some guy came out of the back kitchen door and said he'd take care of me. Girl gets back on the mic, takes my order. I pull up to pay, don't get a receipt, look inside literally no customers at the counter or anything. No apology for the wait or anything. Side note why do the combos come with child sized cups? Unless this food is amazing I'll never eat there again. read more

Didn't think it was open at first, parking lot had only 2cars in it (including the bk) and some of the glass windows were blacked out. But it was open, just took awhile for an employee to come from the kitchen area. But the FOOD, the food was horrible ALL of it! When I placed my order it was obvious they were slow (No customers) so I specifically requested to make my order "fresh" and let'em know I didn't mind waiting. Well 10min later my order was ready to go, and the gentleman brought it to me and I left. Soon as I got it and on the road I went for some fries-Yuck, Chicken-Yuck, hush puppies even and the Fish OMG ;-( I didn't even bother after I noticed all the oil I squeezed out of it and everything had that freezer burnt taste and smell, I mean EVERYTHING! The wait time for food took a very long time and even after we waited 30 minutes the order was wrong and we were missing things so they had to make what we were missing which also took a very long time and still turned out wrong. I had come the night before to get something to go and I saw a sign on the order screen that they wouldn't be open until 1030 am because of a broken fryer... hmmm I still attempted to order because it was 8pm... someone answered the drive thru and the first thing they said was "it's about a 10 minute wait!" I asked why and they said there's only two people working, I said "can h come in?" She said "no, the doors are locked!" So I went back today, and went inside to eat... the grumpy hilly billy girl took my order and I waited 10 minutes anyways... lolol When she called my order she miss spoke, but I figured it was mine so I walked up to retrieve my chow... as I walked up I looked at the receipt and glanced at the menu to see if I was mistaken what it was called... She says "is there an issue?", which made me giggle on the inside... but I replied " no, I was just making sure there's fish in the platter because you said lobster bites platter" I got my grub and kept it cooler than a cucumber... as I approached the threshold I could barely see through the glass doors because it was double gross with at least 11 days of fingerprints on both sides... it looked like one of those blurry privacy windows and that's when I realized, I shoulda yelped to look at the opinions of fellow travelers... Sure enough these guys average 1.5 stars with over 80 reviews... capturing all the same observations I had... there's a small part of me that regrets not saying "yes I have an issue with the general cleanliness and your strange defensive attitude!" But one really can't argue with stupid... The place looks deserted and there is not a single employee in sight, except the single car parked in front for the building. Yesterday, I decided to have long John silvers for lunch and it was a horrible experience. First, thry had a sign on the door stating the dining room was closed due to short staffing. Second, the drive thru had an excessive wait time. I would have drove off if my food was not pre-paid via the app. Lastly, when I finally got my food portion of the fish were raw. The batter was oozing and soft (see picture attached). I did go back to the restaurant and got new fish but didn't get any fries that was to be included in the meal. Tried to order dinner at the drive through. Ordered quickly, waited for a long time for the two cars in front of us to get their food. We then paid and THEN they informed us that they were out of hush puppies. Why couldn't they tell us that when we ordered or before we paid. Since the hagerstown location being closed down you don't know how happy i was to run into the WV location. There's just no way fast food fish tastes this great! After a splash of lemon, out of this world! The 2 piece is excellent, more than filling. The piece of chicken is great as well just doesn't hit how the fish does. The fries no complaints at all either. Hush puppies are not my thing but these were not bad at all, definitely had more than 1. So nostalgic to have one less than an hour away. read more

The service was pretty quick. The portions are pretty large, aside from the side of green beans. We wanted to go through the drive thru but that was down. The place looked clean while I was there. The chicken and hush puppies were pretty good. The fries were just okay. The fish was too salty and one of the pieces was not fried long enough. I went last night(May 4th) 15 minutes before close pulled up to the drive through and no response or anything even after sitting there a couple minutes. I even said "hey you still open?" a few times and no response. So I pull up to the window... all the lights are on and I can see a couple people huddled in the back of the kitchen appeared to be avoiding any work right before their shift ends. I like LJS so much that I'm willing to drive from Frederick to get some. Today, the food wasn't freshly fried. The only thing hot on my platter was the hush puppies. The fries and shrimp were not edible because they were cold and soggy. Definitely not served at proper temps. Even the coleslaw was nasty and it's one of my favorites. I'd have given them a ZERO if it was possible. My wife got an A&W burger because she is following a Keto diet. She eats just the meat and she took one bite and couldn't eat any more. No, we didn't let them know how bad it is. It's the kind of place you don't complain because the remake might be worse. Really hoping diarrhea isn't in my near future. We ordered a couple coneys and a small root beer (in a paper cup of course-no more frosty mugs), waited for 5 minutes, got our order, and I noticed there wasn't any chopped onions (you shouldn't have to ask for onions!), so I asked for some. The high-ons all looked at each other like I was asking for denatured plutonium. Finally one reluctant soul donned the rubber gloves, reached WAY down into some dark onion cave, and pulled out some pieces of onion that looked like they were skimmed off the side of a tree de-barker, and put them on our dogs.... This is literally one of the worst-run fast food restaurants in the region. The store manager and regional manager should be relieved of duty for incompetence and neglect. One of the dirtiest fast food places I ever visited! The vinyl seats haven't been washed in quite a long time leaving very obvious dirt marks all over the seats. The floors were dirty with trash in many places on the floor. The bathrooms we're dirty with toilet paper on the floor, the nasty smell more than just someone who last visited the toilet before you. The soda and condiments section was dirty. This is a management issue from lack of procedures or oversight. If it is this dirty on the customer side, I wonder how dirty their food handling is? read more

I can't speak on the quality of the food because I never actually got my food. I stopped by on a weekend night around 8PM. I observed no customers in the restaurant as I drove up, and I went to the drive thru. The drive thru had a sign saying the credit card machine was down. Ok, an inconvenience but no big deal. I then start to order my food over the phone and I hear two employees in the background yelling "I TOLD YOU TO NOT F******* DO IT!" and a lot inaudible other yelling. The cashier then turned the speaker off for a few seconds before returning and apologizing that I had to hear that. I laughed it off, and proceeded to order my food. I then drove up to the window to pay and am then told "Oh, I forgot, our grill isn't working so we can't take any orders that we'd have to cook on the grill." Really...the GRILL is down!? I smell BS -- the more likely scenario is seeing at it was 8PM and they had no customers until now, and they close at 9PM, they started cleaning the grill to close up early, and did not want to get it dirty again and have to clean it. I guess I was lucky that I did not receive any food from here based on the other reviews. read more
