Anne is great to work with and her cakes are delicious! She's made my son's smash cake for our photo shoot and both his 1st and 2nd birthday. I know she'll execute my idea and the cake/cupcakes will taste amazing! I've had several guests mention how tasty the cake was at parties. A perk with working with this bakery is that they deliver the cake to your location. It's a convenient service that I definitely appreciate. She's very good about communicating with you too. I highly recommend this bakery!

Gender Reveal Cake to match our Twinkle Little Star theme!

Anne made our cake and cupcakes for our gender reveal party and they turned out so cute and tasted great as well! I wanted a custom cake for our party without it being overly expensive. I messaged Anne for a quote and was happy to find her cakes to be more affordable compared to other custom cake companies in town! There was a slight delay during pick-up but other than that, Anne was easy and great to work with! I had my brother contact her the gender of our baby to determine the color of the cake and it was so fun to cut through it and see the beautiful blue on the inside! I look forward to ordering more cakes from her in the future!

    PAC Man party favors

Today I met the lovely Anne DeAngelis owner of A Bakery Built for Two. She was handing out the coolest party favors for a yelp event. The party favors were sugar cookies in the shape of Pac-Man and pinky ghosts. Not only were these cookies cute but they were delicious! The cookies weren't too hard nor too soft. It was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. A Bakery Built for Two is a food cart bakery that travels to you ! How handy is that :) A bakery built for two makes all kinds of treats cakes, cupcakes, cookies, etc and brings them to your events weddings, engagement parties, holiday parties, birthdays and many more. It would be really cool to see these sweet treats at a baby shower. Can't wait see what the future has in store for you and your bakery Anne.

Wedding cake for a small intimate ceremony
    Alicia W.

We had plans for Anne to do our 3-tier wedding cake and a grooms cake at our wedding. We had to postpone the bigger celebration to August, but Anne was so helpful and flexible with us when we asked her to make us a small wedding cake for our more intimate ceremony. I sent her pictures and ideas of what I was thinking, and she executed it perfectly!! Not only did it look amazing, but it tasted so delicious and is one of the best cakes we have ever had! Anne is super sweet and so easy to work with. We can't wait for all our loved ones to taste her cakes when August comes!!! I would recommend her to anyone needing any type of cake, we will definitely use her for any baking needs we have in the future. Would give her 5 stars for sure!!

Obsessed with how our cake came out - not only was it beautiful, but it was delicious! We had two different flavors, (1) french vanilla w/ lavender and (2) lemon blackberry. Both amazing. Anne was also great to work with!

These wonderful people did my daughters first birthday cake. It was delicious and beautiful. I asked for something super simple and they came through at a super reasonable price. They also did my daughter's smash cake. She unfortunately decided she did not like cake and would rather eat the berries off of it but it was a win either way. I got to eat her cake!

I couldn't be happier with this cake. I ordered it for my boss after Anne reaches out to me responding to a search for cakes in a FB group. She was so excited to do it and did an amazing job. The cake looked and tasted amazing!!!1 I will ONLY order cakes from her!! Well done, Anne!!

A delicious blend that's well balanced, and not overly sweet or buttery. Oh, what's a "cutie pie"? It's a miniature pie, perfect for 1-2 servings, and a great way to say yes to some pie without committing to it for a week. They have other fun ones like Hoosier (brown sugar custard w/ oatmeal crust), chess (lemon custard), and Jumbleberry (mixed berries), along with the usual classic flavors. I've also tried the pecan cutie pie, and a seasonal (should be year-round!) cherry almond cupcake, which was the perfect blend of almond flavor and tart cherry. Creative flavors like that make this bakery really stand out, and the fresh ingredients, perfect preparation, and friendly service, keep you coming back for more. Love that it's a local shop right off Mayberry. Bright, cute, and super clean inside, with plenty of parking and indoor seating.

We ordered the Dust Storm: a vanilla milkshake with chocolate bits, topped with a giant blondie skewered dramatically on top, plus whipped cream, sprinkles, and chocolate drizzle. The rim of the jar was coated in marshmallow dip and graham cracker crumbs because apparently subtlety has left the chat. Honestly, the presentation was on point and exactly the kind of milkshake kids dream about. Which is why we ordered it. My tween declared it "the best milkshake I've ever seen in my life," and honestly, that alone made it worth the stop on our mother-daughter trip. Taste-wise, it leaned very sweet for me and didn't have a ton of flavor depth beyond sugar overload. But clearly the goal here is maximal fun and aesthetic, and they absolutely nailed that. It's basically a photo op you can drink. The shop itself was surprisingly quiet when we visited in the evening--we had the whole place to ourselves--but there were games to play while waiting for our order (we pulled out Pick Up Sticks, which transported me straight back to my 90s childhood living room). The ladies at the counter were also incredibly kind and patient explaining the menu and flavors to us. If you're looking for an over-the-top dessert experience your kids will talk about for days, this is your place.

In my opinion, it wasn't enough. There was a steady flow of people, and she couldn't keep up with orders and customer service. We opted for two small scoops of ice cream for the kids: chocolate and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. We also ordered the sizzling blonde brownie sundae. It was about $20 for three items. The ice cream was very good, especially the Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Very unique flavor and great texture. The blondie was a bit of a letdown. First, the blondie was not "sizzling". It wasn't even really warm. Only placed in a waffle iron for a few seconds. Second, it seemed very dry and crumbly, maybe even overbaked. I thought the ideas at Black Rock are fun, and I think trying one of their milkshakes should be my next visit. However, there are a lot of great ice cream spots in Reno. For just ice cream, I think there is some heavy competition.

I hadn't read the reviews before ordering, as I was frantic in trying to find a bakery that could do a small custom cake less than 24 hours before my Mother-in-Law's birthday. I was desperate and willing to take anything, and Leigh Anne was very sweet and patient with me on the phone. We settled on the Carrot L-Orange cake (heavenly). I forget the exact size, but I remember she said it would feed ~6 people which was perfect, and truly it could have fed up to 12+ people as that's how many servings we got out of it. That cake was tall, flavor-packed, and very rich. The complimentary carrot, nutmeg, and orange flavors had a warm spice that had me questioning why it had been over a decade since I last had carrot cake! It is criminally underrated in my peer group, or at least it was until we had this one. You know you've got a great recipe when even the folks who 'don't want any cake/don't like sweets' start eyeing it to make sure there's some left for them to try, and especially when they ask if they can take a to-go slice back home because they know someone who just HAS to try it. Thank you again for the beautiful, scrumptious, Delicious Design!

It had a rich, authentic taste that kept me coming back for another bite, and it's easily one of the better ube desserts I've had. The only thing that kept this from being a five star experience was the selection. I was hoping for a larger variety of flavors and more items available, but the display felt a little limited during my visit. I would have loved to try more of what they have to offer. We got one of everything they had and that ended us up with lots of earl gray flavors admittedly not my favorite. That said, quality definitely won over quantity. If the variety grows, this would be an easy five-star bakery in my book. I'll definitely be back for the ube. Super amazing staff ! And the building was easy to find .

Nothing Bundt cakes has appeared at EVERY celebration of ours, between birthdays and anniversaries. so on APRIL 16th we placed an order for UNR's graduation to celebrate the first college graduate in our family. Our pick up time was for 11:15. My daughter went to pick up our order at 12:04 after the graduation ran long, and we wanted to give some additional time to prepare our order as we knew it would be a busy day. By 12:27 she was still texting me that she was IN LINE, for a pickup order we placed a month prior. They should have created a second pick up line for already placed orders, especially since UNR graduation has been set for this date for a year and knew it would be busy. But no, they chose disorganization and didn't value any of their customers and had them waiting for ridiculous amounts of time (over 30 minutes?!?!) . My daughter missed most of her son's graduation lunch because of this wait, breaking her heart as she just wanted to bring his favorite dessert and missed almost the whole lunch because of NOTHING BUNDT CAKES. The employee told the person in front of my daughter that they were out of frosting, and that if they didn't have a flavor they would look to see if "they could steal one from an ahead order" UM. IM SORRY. SO PEOPLE PLACED ORDERS WEEKS AHEAD AND THEN DAY OF THEY WERE LOOKING TO COMPLETE NEW ORDERS WITH ORDERS PEOPLE HAD PLACED BUT HADNT PICKED UP YET?!?!?!? Picking up our placed order took over 40 minutes, while my elderly father was stuck waiting in the car for that entire time. To make up for this? They offered my daughter a free bundlet, only available to be redeemed from that one cursed location (we don't live in state and certainly will NEVER be back to this location even if we were in state again) absolutely ridiculous. This was so stressful that my daughter's Oura ring warned her she was in a high stress environment (to pick up a pre ordered cake! Imagine that!) Nothing Bundt cakes ruined our day and our celebration. I really hope that next year they just close for graduation since they clearly cannot handle it and they should not have people relying on them when they are incompetent in completing orders placed a month ahead. This was beyond disappointing, and I hope that someone from management reaches out to correct this. In the future we will no longer be ordering nothing Bundt cakes, despite our big family ordering them almost monthly for birthdays. IF ANYONE IS ORDERING FOR NEXT YEARS GRADUATION- DONT!!!!!!! Try another place!!!!! Not worth the stress.
