We look forward to continue taking our pups to breweries, farmers markets, community festivals and all of the things we love to do as a family, all thanks to Rayo's K9 Academy and the foundation they built for us. Raymond's training program was very thorough & we are very grateful for this program. Our dog Koda was 10 months old when he started the training program he had aggressive tendencies & would always require being carried into his kennel at night time for bed. When it came to walking our dog that wasn't even an option he wouldn't let us put a leash on his neck. After the training program with Raymond for five weeks, we saw significant changes. We were actually able to take him on walks & put a leash on him. When given a command he walks into his kennel without any issues. We highly recommend Raymond's training program.

I called PS dog training and Ellen explained to me how it works. After everything was set up I dropped my boy off at her place for boot camp (yes boot camp lol - he stays with her for 2 weeks if you want that) Her house is in the middle of nowhere but it's really great out there. she has a little run for the smaller dogs and a bigger one for bigger dogs. she also has horses and geese and god knows what else :-) my little one is really scared of people but he didn't act up too bad with her (which is a great compliment) So after a week i wanted him back because....well i missed him :-) that was fine with her and we kept on with training in private sessions once a week. I don't know how it is now but back then she did it like that: you paid a set amount and she will work with you...well until the dog gets it. The next great thing: Boarding. Ellen takes her clients dogs for boarding. it's not cheap but also not really more expensive than others around. She even took our second puppy before he had all his shots (which means she had to keep him seperate from the others so he won't get sick - which she did. and it was HIGHLY appreciated. ) I was never worried when they were with her and they always got excited when they came to Ellen. Long story short - my dog has no perfect manners because I went back home during my husbands deployment and then we moved away from Cali. but if we would have had more time - heck I know she could have made a well behaved doog out of Stewie. He got a lot better (oh and geeez he learns SLOOOOOw lol) but the time was just too short to really accomplish everything we wanted. Ellen is a fun lady and she knows what she is talking about and the most important thing to me: she really cares about the dogs.

Why We Love It Here 1. Services Galore From full-service grooming to vaccination clinics that never charge a visit fee, Petco makes pet care easy and affordable for all our various (and continual) puppy needs. 2. Grooming: Tail Wags Guaranteed The ladies here are pawsome. While GSPs don't need a whole lot of grooming, we see our dogs' fluffier friends leave here tails wagging and owners smiling. 3. Training & Community Whether it's puppy classes or adult obedience, each of our pups--big, medium, and "will-sit-only-if-I'm-snacking" small--has thrived. And it's a comfort knowing they're learning from certified trainers. 4. Lastly, it warms my heart to see their pet adoptions. Knowing that local people are finding their new pals there and that the furry companions are getting a forever-home means the world to me and my children. My only frustation is that the lines can be a little long and it's not always easy to find help, but I try to remind myself that these people are not only caring for the community but also changing lives.

As well as being the most patient person I have ever met, Ashley provides clear instructions, following up to check on progress and make suggestions. Things we worked on, and more importantly, made progress on: reactivity, reactivity in the house, reactivity outside the house, place work, recall, leash work, crate training, and more things I can't remember right now. I would not hesitate to recommend Ashley to anyone needing help with their dog.

Our first, Paloma, is a 4 year old female Doberman Ashley has trained and boarded several times. Recently we had Ashley board Paloma and our newest rescue Paxie, a 9 month old female Doberman that was found on the streets eating out of trash cans and emaciated. Ashley's job was to train and care for both pups for a week while we traveled. We first had concerns with Ashley's attitude when we dropped our girls off. She was rushed, dismissive and never inquired about a training schedule. While we were on our trip we never received updates on their well-being until we saw Ashley posting IG stories calling Paxie "rude" "invasive" and "bullying". These words were used without context and without corrective behavior, it just appeared as ranting not training. Reminder, Paxie is only 9 months old and was abused, neglected and homeless her whole life before us. Later we observed on IG another local "trainer" that we did not hire had Paxie in her care. Ashley never notified or received permission from us to hand Paxie off to another person to care for. She then continued to use inappropriate name calling in a follow up email to us after we asked for an update on Paxie's training during her boarding time (see attachment). This has been very hurtful, disappointing and unprofessional. Our rescue dogs mean everything and we entrusted Ashley to care for them, not have an attitude because Paxie wasn't fitting into her "way of doing things". She talks about her approach being "relationship based". Relationships take patience, care, understanding and empathy. Not name calling and disrespect to clients that have supported Ashley's business for years. Mind you, do your research and confirm Ashley's "credited dog training". Thank you for reading this. These folks don't just provide care, they deliver peace of mind, and sometimes (like in our case) they rescue your sanity, too. The Sock Incident. Let me set the scene: Our new puppy -- adorable, energetic, and apparently part goat -- decided that a sock was a delicious mid-morning snack. One moment she was bouncing around like a cartoon character, the next she was lethargic and clearly uncomfortable. My heart dropped. We called Companion Animal Clinic, and before I could finish explaining, they said, "Bring her in right now." No hesitation. No "next available is in three days." Just concern, urgency, and compassion. When we arrived, the staff was already prepped. They took our pup in immediately, reassured us with calm professionalism, and treated the situation seriously -- but without the panic that was clearly all over my face. They monitored her closely, performed a thorough exam, and gave her exactly the treatment that she needed. She recovered beautifully thanks to their quick response and genuine care. Beyond That One Scary Day: Every visit since has confirmed the same thing -- Companion Animal Clinic is a rare find. The staff is caring, patient, and responsive: They don't rush you through appointments. They explain things in language that is easy to understand and above all gives you options. More importantly, they always follow up to check in, which, let's be honest, is the kind of above-and-beyond care you just don't expect anymore. Final Word: Whether it's routine checkups, emergency sock extraction, or just a team of professionals who love animals as much as you do, Companion Animal Clinic is a blessing to this desert community. Our puppy may have poor judgment, but at least we had the wisdom to bring her here.
