Just because they're animals and they can't talk doesn't mean owners Won't notice when you were to rough with them. Just wanted to say thank you to Jamie at Dirty Dog. She and the rest of the staff were amazing with our fur baby. Jamie spent around an hour and a half caring for our elderly baby washing, blow drying and cutting her nails. Our cannine has some medical issues and Jamie did an incredible job caring for her and making sire she made it through. Lisa, the owner, has TERRIBLE BUSINESS ETIQUETTE. I've been taking my dogs here for several years and have always been very happy with the service. I wasn't happy with one of my dogs cuts yesterday and called to ask if I could bring her back in it have it fixed. (My husband had picked up the dogs right before they closed so I couldn't call yesterday.) Lisa had a bad attitude off the bat and super rude tone. She said I asked for things I didn't and I said I asked for one thing she doesn't remember me saying. I'm pretty reasonable and like to be as kind as possible so I said ok, this was just a miscommunication between us, I'm willing to meet you half way monetarily to come up with a solution. She sounded even more put out, telling me my dog is too skiddish it'll take too long, she's too far booked out, and literally said with a sigh several times, "What do you want me to do?" I understand it's not a convenient situation for her, but it's also not for me, and as the owner and the person who cut my dogs hair, she should be more willing to correct situations like this. Terrible business etiquette, I couldn't believe how rude she was being on the phone. read more

I am so glad I found this place. I was going to a groomer I loved in Palm Springs, and driving quite a distance to go, now that I had moved to Morongo Valley. I decided to see if I could find someone closer. I just happened to walk in to Dirty Dog, and they were willing to give my shiba once or twice weekly medicinal baths for a very reasonable price. That is good, but what is great, is that they do a wonderful job. Lisa is very nice to me and very nice to my dog Bodhi, who is a handful. Shibas hate being touched, and he cries when I leave, and she takes it in stride, and has a very compassionate nature. I am so grateful, and I highly recommend this groomer. read more

Always wonderful. I have what one might refer to as the 'handful' type of pups. They nip and resist and have sharp teefers, but I trust these ladies to deal with their idiosyncrasies stoically. My Scottie comes in with a rasta matte every time (probably 6 months too late) and my other terrier can be quite snooty, but every time I get them back they are good as new. Smiling faces, humble attitudes, and fair prices (I pay more for my own hair cuts), I have been using the Dog-o-Mat for a few years now and am always delightfully satisfied.
