Received a quote from Josh in under 5 minutes after sending Yelp message fairly late one evening after my mother's garage went to crap. After getting 5 other quotes over the next 12-16 hours for a new 2 car non-insulated roll-up garage door with windows, his pricing was hands down the best with a Northwest Garage product. His pricing with windows (panels only) beat all other competitors by $175-$200. All communication was timely and thorough. I recently relocated to Modesto and needed to replace my garage door opener. I was also interested in one of the newer WiFi kind you can operate with your phone. I checked yelp and noticed the stellar review for A Better Garage Door and gave Josh a call. His reviews are legit. He deserves 6 stars. He spent an inordinate amount of time on the phone with me while I asked a million questions. He shared his extensive product knowledge and offered several different options at different price points. He didn't give me the old "I need to come see the door to get an idea" routine just to come to my house and give me a hard sell. With his help I decided on the best opener for me. We scheduled a time for the install, he called a couple days before to confirm, then again on the day of install. Josh was prompt and professional. He did extremely nice work. Everything nice, no fingerprints all over my garage ceiling or near the opener on the wall, all the wires were secured nicely not just hanging loose. One very nice detail is he cleaned up every last bit of trash, even any little wire strippings. When he left it was like he was never there. Came home to a broken garage door spring at about 730pm on a Saturday. Jumped on yelp and found a better garage door. No answer, left a message, received a call back about 30 min later at 8pm or so. He said he could come the next day, Sunday morning, and gave me a quote over the phone to replace 2 springs that was cheaper than all the other places I called to replace 1 spring. What a great guy! My dumb fire detector decided at 2am it needed attention. And it was hard wired and I couldn't figure out how to disable it on these pretty but impractical 12' ceilings I have. Plus I'm 56 and afraid of heights. So I waited until 7 am on a Sunday AND a holiday to try to find a handyman. I messaged a few places off Yelp and Josh replied almost immediately. He was here within an hour and replaced it in less than 15 minutes. Impressive. I've tried some other companies (looking at you 5 star handymen who I'll never call again), and no handyman has ever been as responsive.
