Still, I would like to save someone else from the very negative and disrespectful experience I had with Kaii. After looking for a board and train professional for my 4-month-old Yorkie, I discovered Kaii and her partner on Thumbtack. Her reviews were solid, so I dropped my baby off to her on Sunday, May 16th. I was promised a photo/video update every 48 hours and expected that would happen as I am as much of a client as the dog since, after all, I am the one paying $1400. The first red flag was when I didn't receive an update and had to check in on my baby's wellbeing, but I let that slide and wrote it off to her being busy. Less than 24 hours later, on day 3 of training, I received a late-night text from Kaii stating she had a family emergency and needed to leave town immediately. Fortunately, I was awake to see the text and immediately drove 40 minutes to get my dog. I made it a point to demonstrate compassion because I believe in putting family first and didn't want Kaii to feel bad about the abrupt interruption in the process. I was charged $455 for three days of "boarding and training," but at that time, I believed we would pick up where we left off, and I accepted that. THANK GOD I had the sense to ask the balance be returned until we resumed. I was promised training notes, so I could continue working with my puppy while Kaii was handling "family" business. I followed up three times to get the notes and never received them. After one week, it was clear that any progress made was lost. I certainly feel like for $455; I should have gotten these notes. Kaii stated she would be back on June 1st, and I confirmed that I would like to resume. Around June 3rd, I see posts on Instagram where she is training new dog clients, but I'd yet to receive any call or text to work out particulars for resuming work with my dog. It was clear that she was willing to take money from new people but not make good with those who were cut short. Despite this complete lack of professionalism and customer service, I wanted to believe in her reviews. I sent her a detailed message with my concerns and the desire to continue as I want the best for my puppy. You would think there would have been a return message with an apology about the delayed communication and an offer to make good, right? WRONG! I gave her three business days as everyone gets busy, and maybe Kaii just needed time to respond, but there was no response. I finally called, and again no answer and no return call. So I've lost $455 on THE most expensive boarding ever and have to start all over. Please do not waste your time with someone this unprofessional. I don't doubt she is great with dogs, but customer service for the owner is also part of the equation, and from start to finish, she was a complete failure in this category. If I am honest, I doubt there was a family emergency at this point, but that is neither here nor there. I just don't want anyone else to experience the complete lack of service as it was a very expensive waste of my time. read more

*I really hate to do this, but please DON'T use them for training. We sent our 13 week old puppy to get potty trained for 2 weeks, with the board and train program. They were very non-responsive during the 2 weeks, as I requested multiple times for video's and progress reports from the 1st week, in hopes that I can feel confident with the work they were doing, to move into week 2. Not sure why I went against my instinct, but I paid for the second week anyway, and hoped for the best. They say you get a training lesson upon pick up, so I rounded up my whole family to be there to get trained and we drove 40 min to get there. Not only was there no training, there were no notes or any record of any progress whatsoever. They stood there and answered questions and handed me a hand out of generic dog training notes. We got home, and followed every direction in the notes and what was explained. They stated she was fully potty trained on both pee pads and out doors, that she can go 2.5 hours without an accident, sleeps through the night, no longer barks and can sit, spin, and come. She does none of the above! We literally have a small play pen with a pee pad in it and a bed, and she finds a way to go anywhere but the pee pad. We stand outside for 30 mins at a time and she wont go, than the second we bring her in the house she has an accident within 30 seconds. She barks anytime there is a noise, and does not know any commands, even with treats in hand. I feel so duped and upset. We blew $1000 of hard earned money, and lost 2 weeks of bonding with our puppy to leave her with these girls, that did nothing for her. They seem nice, but were unwilling to work with us in any manner. When I was on the fence about the second week, they demanded the money and went off on me, that if they were a proper Bording facility, they would never put up with me, not committing. I really wish I would have gone with my gut on this, and pulled her after the first worthless week. Please save your money, and go elsewhere! read more

I'll keep an eye out for the letter and any accompanying information from your attorney. Thanks! I found this company via Thumbtack and contacted them initially via text. (Their website says to text or send a message to book or schedule a consultation.) The link on the site for what's app doesn't work. Through my text and other message I received the same response copied & pasted with their rates. Initially I thought maybe they were trying to weed out people who may not want to pay so I responded to confirm my interest. I even said I was getting the same message and was trying to schedule a consultation and asked if I was following the correct process. I didn't hear back which was a red flag. After reporting on Thumbtack that I wasn't sure if this was a real company due to their lack of response, I immediately received text messages that they were upset for my poor review. They claimed I never responded so I provided multiple screenshots showing I did. They claimed they didn't send me the same message but again I have the screenshots attached which show I did. Each time I replied and then heard nothing back. I sent my screenshots to them as well. The response was that they are busy working and also get over 90 messages a day. Apparently they responded today because it's their day off. So make sure you contact them during their non work days to get a response I guess? I don't think my initial review which I've attached was bad. I was concerned this was not a legitimate organization and wanted to warn others. I would have left it alone and not posted additional reviews and let Thumbtack figure it out had it not been for them sending me text messages basically calling me a liar. If you missed a text from me that's fine but don't say I didn't send it when I can take a screenshot quickly. In my opinion a more appropriate response would have been to try to figure where the miscommunication was instead of immediately saying I never responded. Now I know they do receive texts but are busy and don't reply right away. If that's how they run their business that is perfectly fine. It won't work for me but for others it will. My opinion is that I think that it should be advertised that there is a waiting period due to them being busy or maybe there should be another option to contact them that they can actually reply to. I reached out to two other vendors and received responses right away so I thought industry standard was a day or 2. Hopefully they can take this as a learning experience and improve so others have a better experience and they don't feel the need to get defensive with someone who provided an honest overview of their experience. read more

Let me start with why I gave a 3 stars. As many people have stated. I have requested that I get pictures or videos of my dog training. I was told they will provide me with video or picture whenever she does her training not always but from time to time. So I was expecting more pictures of the progress. It's not a cheap option when we pick board and train. The only picture was when it was close to end of her two weeks of board and training. Also I was told I will get a picture of her once she arrived at the facility and I never got it and only was told that she is doing well and sleeping. Pro: * my puppy is doing better on her obedience compare to before training * gifted me with a harness and leash Con: * rarely provided update on the dogs training session by video or photo * doesn't update on the dogs training through text or message either *uses thumbtack application and sounds like those clients get better customer service and care. *if can't message the owner individually at least post it on Instagram story so we know that the dog is doing well. Saw post of other dogs more than my dog. Understand that some of the dogs are celebrity dogs or dogs that need to get adopted but I also paid and feel like I should get as much update as other dogs. Recommendation: Give the dogs owner more update so owners don't feel like the dog is only in the kennel and rarely comes out. Maybe reduce the amount of dogs which you take in so you can provide more personalized training. Since there are other home training facility who take in very limited amount of dogs to give a more personalized training for the same cost. read more

So we sent our 1yr old Frenchie for reactivity issues and separation anxiety. It was the 2 week program. It was a total waste of money. When they brought him back to us he seemed to be heavily medicated with CBD and looked very disoriented which is not like his normal self. As other reviewers mentioned, he had diarrhea for a week. His reactivity issue was worse when he came back from "training" and his separation anxiety did not get any better. Also, lack of communication. When they picked him up they mentioned they will send us update pics/videos but they were rarely provided and most of the time I would have to ask them for it. Overall, I do not recommend them. "Training" was not effective and service was bad. My dog came back more reactive than he was before. FYI they also go by dog trainer Kaii on Instagram. read more

Winston left our home for 2 weeks as an excitable puppy with no manners, and returned as a respectful, well mannered gentleman. The change is incredible! Our children are able to play with him safely, he follows commands, and knows boundaries. We received updates regarding his progress while he was away, and he was given with toys and presents when he was returned home. we are so excited to continue to build his skills on the foundation Kaii and Genesis build for us! Kaii and Genesis were amazing with our very VERY anxious and skittish rescue who stayed with them for the two week confidence package. They were extremely patient with him and generous and he has improved immensely. At the beginning of the two weeks, our dog wouldn't even let Kaii or Genesis touch him. By the end of his boarding and training, our pup learned to love his trainers so much he gave them a goodbye hug! He's now much better during walks, his recall is near perfect, and he isn't as afraid of new people and places. We are very pleased with his progress and will definitely be going to Kaii and Genesis again for further development. read more

I can not say enough great things about A Bit 2 Cute Dog Training! I am so glad I found them! I sent my 7 month old Aussie Gunner to them for a week of board and train. He needed some leash work as well as work on his recall. I can comfortably take him to the dog park and know he'll come when called even with all the distractions. They did such great work with gunner and sent updates constantly. He's shown so much continued progress. I love their positive approach and they have made themselves available even after his board and train. They are so amazing that i continue to send Gunner to them for daycare a few days a week since his training. You can tell how much they care about your fur baby and it helps put your mind at ease. Just picked up my pup yesterday and I've seen so much improvement. His biggest issue was biting at hands/feet, it was to the point where I couldn't even pet him! Now he has no interest of nipping on my hands. Im really satisfied with their work and would highly recommend their training! Would not recommend. Lack of communication . I was just sent 3 videos/photos out of the two weeks. I Took my dog in for a two week program, got him back very ill . Had to take him to the hospital the next day I got him and he wasn't ok. When I gave my dog in he was perfectly fine and once the two weeks of "training" I got him back very skinny and not in physical good shape. He had diarrhea, he was throwing up, he would pee little drops constantly and he was not the same. He wouldn't eat , didn't want to play and he would just lay down all by himself. Waste of money . Wasted 1000 on this b/s program and wasted 1,000 something at the vet . I also didn't see any changes with commands as she says she worked on. Because of this experience it will be hard for me to trust any other program with my dog. read more

This review is way overdue but much needed to save people time and money. Please do not waste your money on their services. Although Kaii and Genesis seemed nice they did not train our dog. They were not responsive during her stay and barely provided updates as promised. They gave us some generic paperwork to follow up with our dog which was not individualized at all. We think they take on too many clients at once that your dog doesn't get the attention that you expect. We also thought it was odd that they didn't let you see the boarding or the training area...We dismissed it as a COVID issue but they could have at least offered a tour of the training area. Don't be fooled by the huge discount they offer. Your paying this amount just for your dog to be boarded and not be trained. read more

Positive: 3 stars because they are nice people, they took good care of my dog, they left us with training instructions at the end, and my dog jumps less. Negative: I'm truly disappointed in the customer service. My dog went to them for two weeks of training. I explained that we were looking for our pup to not jump, to get better with commands so we can get a better handle on her energy. Which she has a ton of; very high energy. We felt like she needed more intense training than say PetSmart. I was super encouraged that they said they could work with her and their prices were extremely reasonable for LA. I felt like it was a struggle to get any photos or videos of my dog. I had to contact them the majority of the time to get an update. I tried not to bug them by contacting them every other day, but to me, they should have sent updates more. I would ask specific questions and sometimes they would answer them, and other times they wouldn't. They suggested some toys for her and I asked for some video of how she played with the toys or some video of her training and they gave me excuses that the video was on their camera and they had to transfer it. Then they didn't send anything until days later and it was of video of my dog in the car, on their way back to my house! The only other video I received was of my dog walking around (to show she wasn't jumping). At the end, they returned her and said that we can call them anytime, "even the next day", and they would come to assist us. Well, I called them a few days after her return to see about daycare because we were having some construction done and my pup wasn't handling it well. I texted them to see if they offered daycare and explained the situation. They responded yes and gave a price. I was good with it and asked if I could bring her.......then crickets....nothing. It is appreciated when a business follows up and does what they say. If my dog was too much, we TOTALLY understood because she is a lot. I would have appreciated them saying they can't work with her or us instead of giving this perception that they still want to help. My dog is about the same as when she left, with commands like sit and stay. She jumps less. Her walking didn't improve which I thought it would since they said she got walked 3 times a day. We know we have to keep up with the training and we are. And again...I understand my dogs breed is hyper and will take time to train....that's why I still wanted to wanted to still work with them. Kai and Gen are absolutely the BEST! I am lucky to have found them on IG and FB. My Goldendoodle Joey learned so much in the one week program. I told them a list of all Joey's flaws that needed correction and thankfully they were able to address and fix them all. Joey no longer barks at the air he breaths . He doesn't run out when the door opens. He sits and waits until he is released. I highly recommend Kai and Gen if you want to get your fur baby straight. They have lots of patience and only do positive reinforcement. The best thing of all Is the fact that they keep you in the loop every step of the way. They send pictures, videos and text updates. Also, Kai responds fast to texts. Which is awesome! Another thing is they also send you home with notes to continue reinforcing all that they learned. Lastly, they don't just send you off and end it there. They also follow up and make sure things are going smooth. They make sure to let you know that if anything arises. They are a call away. So glad we brought our pup Odin, shy little puppy but now he's a social butterfly!! Had some confidence training and basic obedience. Spent time out in the drive way so odin could get familiar with them, had the best treats for him too because he wasn't food motivated at all before!
